Spare battery case? - Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE

Has anyone seem any spare battery case like mophie for the iPhone ? I have a galaxy nexus but I probably get this phone for a second line the nexus doesn't cut it in battery life but I carry a spare with me at all times and this phone is seal so it scares me. I don't want to carry a power brick cause I don't want to put it in my pocket too big . Also I have an iphone 4s which has wonderfully battery life but still doesn't cut it for long days so yeah I need a spare battery . Please post ant info if you see online that would definitely make my decision easier

Comfortability- standard vs extended battery

Which feel do you prefer, disregarding performance. I have both, and I feel like I'm in a Goldilocks position here. The regular battery, I was afraid I was going to drop the phone because it was thin, and the extended one I was afraid I was going to drop the phone because it feels like the battery door is so awkward. Does it just take some getting used to?
Title should be "Comfort"...
I don't like extended batteries on any device. I don't care if my phone is slim or not, but I don't want a brick in my pocket/hand.
I don't like the bother of having to get an extended battery. it should just come with 10,000mAh stock.
I do like the added thickness of an extended battery though. this Rezound is too small for my hands.

How big are you? lol, I am 6'3 and can easily palm a basketball. Are you Shaq?
Kidding aside, in reality they should sell the phone without the back/battery and allow you to pay the difference for whichever option you choose. Wireless Charging Cover, Extended Battery+Cover, or Regular Battery + regular cover.

not as tall as Shaq no. 6' 5". it(like all other phones) just feels like I'm holding some kids toy. I wish they made phones bigger... closer to the galaxy tab 7" size. that's a good fit.
Get the Note! Isn't that like 5"?
I had the exact problem. Solved 100% with this: http://shop.htcpedia.com/htc-rezound-extended-battery-tpu-case-hard-rubber.html
Fits really well, too.

Same setup I use. The extended battery and that hard rubber case fits my hand perfectly and looks like it came from the factory that way.
I can stream audio for an entire long work day on one 2750 battery, something no other phone I have owned has ever been able to do. I am VERY HAPPY with this phone (although I want root/custom ROMs like everyone else)
~John
I couldn't imagine going an entire work day without my extended battery. The feel of the phone isn't a deal breaker for me either way since I use the OEM holster with my extended battery. I hate that I had to give up my otterbox, but the switch was worth it to me.

I just carry an extra battery in my briefcase. If I ever need it at the end of the day, it only takes 15 seconds to change a battery.

It's not the 15sec it takes to change it that bothers me! It's the 3hrs it takes to charge the second battery again. I never really liked having 2 batteries.

I have a stand alone charger that charges the batteries while I sleep.
So the three hours is not a factor.

Just put an Otterbox case on it, that'll make it feel a lot bigger.
When I went from the dinc to this phone I thought I'd be uncomfortable with the size in my hand but it doesn't really feel all that much bigger. Maybe it's the contour of the back cover, I dunno.
It's a good size. (That's what she said.)

[Q] Seidio 5,000 Extended Battery Released

Seidio has released there 5,000 mAh battery. It is on there site for $79. I'm gonna try it, just wish it had the extended battery door like the n7000.

That lump is just silly
this thing is huge!
No offense but, that thing is hideous. It takes less than 30 seconds to swap out a battery. For $80 you could buy the OEM charging station (includes OEM battery) + 2 spare OEM batteries. You would in effect have 10,000mah of battery power at your disposal.
Why not have a full backplate
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
Don't buy it. I had an extended battery on my Captivate that had a hump too and I hated it. I would just rather have the whole door be big then just the bottom part.
That is my opinion of course.

They designed it that way to keep NFC intact. Look at the backdoor of your Note and will see two contact points on the NFC antenna that need to make contact with two contact points next to the microsd card slot. NFC compatible extended batteries on eBay have the same design. Also might explain why Mugen is taking so long with their variant because they could not find a work around.
However, that battery might fit with one of the non NFC compatible back covers on eBay. So you could sacrifice NFC for a better look with the extended battery.

I had one of these type bateries for my blackberry storm...same crappy backing same lump. Only case u could buy was their case lol
Not only is the battery expensive but it makes your phone ugly as sin. The phone is big enough but when you add this battery it turns it into a brick. Don't know why anyone would buy this.

I would love this battery. The only reason I havent purchased it yet is because I cant find a damned case that will accommodate it. I could give 2 ****s about NFC or the size of my phone (in fact i have always used extended batteries and I think it makes me drop them less). Does anybody know whether there is a case for our ATT version that fits around the camels hump?

I have one of these extended batteries on my Note. I also had one on my Blackberry before I switched to the Note. I require a long runtime with my phones, and I am not going to carry multiple batteries around with me to do so. Tried that with the BB, and hated it, and went the extended battery route.
So...I agree with the previous post about the battery door being stupid looking.
When I bought the extended battery (from ebay), I received a door for an international version of the note. I knew that was what I was getting since the extended battery door for the LTE version was not out yet, but I wanted to see if I could make it fit somehow. I also was aware that NFC would not work with the new door, and didn't care, since I haven't found a need for it yet.
I got the battery and international door in. battery fit fine, but door did not. I tried trimming the tabs a little and was able to make it fit, but not *lock* in place like the door should. The company I bought the extended battery from said they would send me the LTE door when they got them in, (that is another reason I was willing to try all of this).
I got the LTE door in. Yes, it is ugly. I like the style of the international door MUCH better. I am using the LTE door for now. Battery life on this "cheap" 5000 battery has been awesome. Previously, I was getting only about 6 hours per charge. Now, I am getting 10-12, which gets me through my day. No...it probably isn't a true 5000 battery, but for $12, and a company willing to work with me on the door, I was happy to try it out, and I am happy.
As for protection for the phone with an exteneded battery door, I have this coming in:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/120841214598?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649
I am hoping that this will give some slight bumper protection but allow the battery bump to stick out. It only surrounds the very edge of the phone, not over the speaker like some of them do, which won't work.
Ok...to make this post even longer....
Anyone know of an extended battery door that looks like this one:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-GT-N7000-Extended-Capacity-Replacement/dp/B006W4JNZ6
that will work on the US LTE? I know it won't have the NFC antenna, but I don't care. I just want one that is shaped like that instead of the ugly bump one I have now.

What's a a good Bumper/ext battery combo for the I777?

Hey xda champs,
So I've got the gt-Max extended battery, a case mate case, and an unrelated otter box for my samsung galaxy s 2 I777. I'm looking for something new. I've seen a few Aluminum bumpers and extended batteries and I was wondering what you guys think are the best bumpers/extended batteries for the price. I'm looking to blow around 100$ for the two individual items but lower if possible. This is because I am a broke college student. With all the apps I'm constantly running with this ROM (Phone Bricker 2.7) I enjoy the extra battery life that a massive battery provides. However, the gt max has a P.O.S. back cover and I'd like something a little higher-quality. If you guys and gals have any opinions on what cases/batteries are exceptional above the rest (within the price range) I'd love to here some experienced feedback on the matter. Thanks for your help and stay awesome.
Sincerely,
A broke college student
Yes I would love to get a ext. battery and have a decent case. Something that will actually protect it haha.

I've had a Seidio extended battery for about a year and it's still going strong. The replacement battery back is a bit unwieldy to get snapped on, but once it's on its locked in tight. I haven't found a phone case that fits around it, but after being case-less for a while I just found I didn't really need one.

Battery Case options?

I have seen 3 battery case options. There is some cheap Chinese one all over Amazon and Ebay. It has different manufacture names but is completely the same.
The other 2 are the official one and the Mophie version. Is there anything in between? Not the cheap Chinese one for 25 or the expensive Mophie one for 100. Thanks
I have the official one - you can find them for under $60 on Ebay. It's great, no problems with it, does exactly what you'd want a battery case to do.

The wireless one? How much mAh does it lose during the charging, more or less than a wired one?
I received the mophie battery case about a week ago. With the case fully charged, and the phone also fully charged, I've gone exactly a full 48 hours without having to plug into a wall outlet (and there was still 10% left). It's a great battery case and well built. I do wish it was a bit thinner though, but I guess that's unrealistic since there needs to be a battery inside the case!
In terms of other options, Incipio has just released a battery case for the s7, and it's about 30 dollars cheaper than the mophie, but I don't think it has the wireless charging option like the mophie does. However, the Incipio has a significantly larger battery (3700mAh vs Mophie's 2950mAh). I'm contemplating whether to return the mophie and pick up the Incipio and save 30 dollars, since I don't have a wireless charger (I had ordered the mophie before Incipio has released their battery case).
Someone posted his thoughts on reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS7/comments/4eruno/two_days_with_the_galaxy_s7_backpack_battery_case/ and I bought it too, its fine. Expensive but its well built and does a good job. I don't trust any of the chinese mAh specs so I wouldn't compare them without a real review...
I just bought the Incipio for its large battery size and slimness compared to other cases. Wireless charging is not really important to me as much as making my phone last the day! It's on it's way, so I'll let you know if its terrible/awesome. As a side note, I got 15% off with a code from the website, making it less than $60 in total.
I just received the Incipio one yesterday so I could compare it with the Mophie and decide which to keep. while the Incipio is well built, I had issues with the fit. Firstly, it was pulling up my screen protector in some areas. Second, the top frame that clips into place would not fit properly once the phone was actually installed. I can take pictures of the case itself, but since I don't have another camera I can't take pictures of the fitting issues.
Considering all this, I'd go with the Mophie. Going to be returning the Incipio

I own and have used one of the "cheap" Chinese battery cases. Over an extended Memorial Day weekend it served me well. I don't know whether the claimed 4200 mAh is accurate. What I can say is that during a day of heavy use while away from a regular electric supply, I never was in danger of running short. Nor did it add an uncomfortable weight. While the more expensive, name-brand battery cases may bring something extra to the table, I expect that, for the most part, battery cases have become a commodity item. Indeed, I've come to the same view regarding wireless charging pads.
Any suggestions regarding slimmest? It seems the thinnest one comes in at around 0.69in with 4500mah. I just want 2000mah. Anyone know of the thinnest battery case on the market?
According to me Mophie battery case is the best one. The 3300mah battery case can provide 60% extra battery to your samsung galaxy s7 edge.
I bought 2 of these battery cases from AliExpress. Claimed Mah is 5200,however from they manage to charge my phone from 0-85% with light usage. Which i'm satisfied with. I would've thought 5200 would've charged my phone completely and then some but the manufacturers claim is that transfer loss accounts for the remaining 25-30%.
I'm not complaining because they do the job for just $20 apiece. Anyone familiar with batteries who could confirm that due to transfer loss while charging a 5000mah battery will only charge a 3600mah phone to less than 100%.??

Personally when I had my zerolemon extended battery for the S4 it was perfect. They're a great company. The 7500MaH is available for the s7 and i dont doubt it will give you ALL of that extra power. They have great customer service and are always willing to help where needed.

Not able to find one, can any one help me is there any way to get it in India?
A friend of mine bought exactly this battery:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bateria-Int...954252?hash=item2cbb1f56cc:g:hmsAAOSwax5YuFxS
And I believe it is not a fake capacity 2200mah it doesn't support NFC though, but is slightly thicker and fits very tight in the slot. He's been using it for nearly half a year now and it lasts for 1,5-2 days when fully charged.
They seem to be as extinct as dodos, spoken to all known suppliers in the UK and cant find any. I have them in my Alpha and it makes a huge difference.
What I need is the back cover (the 2500mah batteries are slightly thicker so have a special back to cater for the extra thickness, a standard back cover wont fit with 2500mah battery) if anyone has any of those, would be willing a pay a premium for 1 or 2 of them.
