Hi guys,
I've been using stock ICS from Samsung (details in my signature). I can't seem to resize the Gmail widget...
I do not want to use a different launcher, any other solution?

Do you mean the stock EMail widget?
I am on stock XWLP8 ROM and can resize the stock EMail widget.
Try to remove the widget.
Use an empty homescreen and place a new EMail widget on it.
When on this homescreen, press menu button and select "Edit".
Then long press/hold the widget (for about 3 seconds) without moving the finger.
If the resizing borders are not displayed, try to move the widget to another position on the homescreen and re-try the long press/hold of the widget again.
Good luck !

Does her phone run Android ICS or Gingerbread? Also is she definitely running the stock Touchwiz?
Thanks

Unfortunately, if it's anything like Sense, then the stock Motorola widgets are only accessible when using the stock Motorola launcher. Basically, they are integrated into the Launcher and it's not possible to run them on a third-party solution.

uh when I load up ADW and long press the homescreen I only have ADW widget. For example, I want to use the Favorites Contacts , the one that when you swipe down on it, it reveals a 20 block screen of your contacts. Can you check for that widget please to see if you can add it as im not from ADW.
is it possible to add sony ericsson default music player widget with adw launcher by using rom manager or by using the root method..i tried installing the music player widget but wont show up when i tried to add the widget in adw launcher..is there any solution at all ?

Favorite Contacts is only available with the stock launcher, I believe.
Almost all of the stock widgets do work with third party launchers. Interestingly, they look like they did in earlier versions of Blur, without the 'chrome' of the Gingerbread BlurHome (the dark blue with gaudy glow animation).
The exception is the favourite contacts widget, which 'works' in the sense that you can place the widget on a screen, but it's invisible.
Genuine question here - aside from the scrolling email widgets and the favourite contacts widget (which is bloated) the Blur widgets are the worst I have ever used on any variety of Android. Half of them don't even launch anything when tapped. Sense, Touchwiz, Timescape/Mediascape, every OEM skin with its own widget set has been more functional than this, even if it's not my cup of tea.
What gives with MotoBlur, and what do people see in it? I swear Moto know it's awful, why else would they automatically set the first third party launcher you install as default?

I use Go launcher and when I place the favorites widget on the homescreen nothing appears. After which I can then click/hold that same blank space and the options appear to modify or delete it. I've not seen anyway to place any stock widgets while using another launcher.

And what other launchers does it work in, pray tell?

It is available. The fact that those launchers are unable to handle it is another thing. Same way the stock launher does not work with 52.

I also miss this. I have can only find 1 resizable bookmark widget in the market and don't like it. Also miss the Android keyboard, truth be told.
I'm using APW Widgets. The bookmark widget is excellent, and can be resized.

Yeah, that's the one I don't like
i'd love to see a stock honeycomb widget, but for the time being i'm using APW widgets. the bookmark is not bad really.
Is it not possible to copy out the bookmark widget apk from rooted honeycomb device?
Was starting to wonder the same thing . My other half misses that and the photo frame from HC.
Install Quick Browser from Play store and use the widget from it.
One thing I did notice about the note 2 is they left the calendar widget out from the Galaxy S3 and I actually liked that widget alot. So my question is since we have root has anyone tryed to pull the calendar widget app out of the S3 builds and put it on the note 2 im a little hesitant on doing this without any kind of back up but if anyone can tell me what files contain it I might give it a shot
The SPlanner widget? Full screen? If so, there is already a thread with the files needed.
I dont think its the samething there is already a splannerwidget.apk in the note 2 can you show me a link I could not find anything then I might be able to tell. I already replaced my note 2 calendar apks with the s3's but that didnt work
Ok I replaced the splannerwidget.apk with the s3's and I now have the calendar widget back from the s3 thank you my firend

Yes, that's the way it is with Touchwiz. You seem to have another launcher. But I see you have already figured that out yourself
