Try flashing to CyanogenMod 7. That's what I'm currently using and it's absolutely fast. This may not be an answer to your question, but it IS an alternative

Here we have it !
Its really not enough for smooth runnig of OS and apps.
Have you installed ZDbox as I recommended in previous post? If not install it and add an widget called task killer on your phone desktop. Once added, tap it - it will release as many RAM as possible. Try it, and tell us, if phone speeds up after it.

You could switch roms to CM7-ZMOD by zdzihu..it's awesome, it's really fast and I get an average of 140MB of free RAM. I would paste the link, but I can't search for CM7-ZMOD, and I think there are instructions in that thread on how to install the mod Good luck.

OK you want to flash wolfs rom, or are you already on it?
I take it you have not unlocked your bootloader yet.
Anyway the kernal is like the BIOS from a windows machine, its the main bit of the OS and with custom kernals you can change many things to mod the phone.
The main advantage is to overclock and underclock the cpu so it works faster when you want it to and slower when you dont want it.
This can improve performance and save battery.
Also you can undervolt, this means the phone uses less power from the battery saving battery power but can cause instability if the voltages are to low for your phone.
there are lots more things as well
such as uncapping the fps which makes graphics smoother..etc..
the stock add does not overclock etc but has the other tweaks....
its up to you which kernal to use but I recommend you read up, try various ones and choose which is best for you.
The most versatile ones are for unlocked bootloader....let me know if you need any help doing that

First thing then is we will keep it simple,
Download flashtool from the flashtool thread in the dev section.
Root your phone by running flashtool and following the instructions.
Then I suggest you pick wolfs FS rom and flash that.
Get used to walking before running

1. Wifi for me is working flawlessly... Check your kernel. Did you flash the attached one?
2. It easy. Search the rom in : system\framework\framework-res.apk copy that apk somewhere else and then cookit with uot kitchen: http://uot.dakra.lt/
But I prefer to know how much "juice" is left. And the numbers are decent.
regarding nr 1:
I will try some kernels gather by me during time, to check what's wrong with wifi.

I have 64.
And given fact that is based on GB 4.0....62 ...normally it will be 64 (by default in stoc rom). But if you don't have problems with reception in GSM... you can use the one you have.
70 or 72 is another story... that is for ICS. But you can use those also.
Baseband is the "radio" software. It's stronlgy bounded with signal reception and the power used by device to be "on line".
PLease try this kernel. It's from Aire.. and free ram 204 mb.

Actualy I have both 8.4.2 and 8.4.3=Primo :good:
I'm in the period of testing. I like the facts that I can see the satellites connected. And also that I have TMC and trafic control.
I love in iGOMyWay_8.4.2.139242_800x480 with MotoGIS_V2.4_SAVEROUTES becasue the Speed is actualy visible and much more bigger than the other informations.
And in ICS 8.4.3. exit suddenly when I click on map... a few moments after opening the program.

That's the question because all the roms based in CMX10 have CWM recovery. Anyway thank you very much Fera for your work, I'm gonna test it un your v23 right now :fingers-crossed:
Cm10? Hmm lets read the OP.... Yes! Feravolt wrote that it's should work on alle ROMS, so yes: it should work on CM10 too
Great that you'll look into this,Feravolt!
I'm on Cm10 right now, with your 1.7v kernel. We need xRecovery (like you wrote), but 1.7 has CWM.
We could do it manually (copy file an do some term commands)
Or can you provideus a cwm package?

Thanx Superman, but can you be more specific?
What ROM and kernel?
What are your settings (min/max, i/o)
More smooth than what? (clean ROM, Seeder, CrossBreeder, ?)
What is it that you find to be more smooth? (Apps starts faster, data in app loads afster, switching apps, screen response, etc.)
I really like to know the benefit you're experiencing.
Thank you,

Just uninstall the seeder apk (if you using seeder apk) or manual delete seeder in init.d (system/etc/init.d) folder and rngd binary in system/xbin if you are using rngd binary that was provided by Ferakernel V3.6 Stock GB.

Eg-tigris kernel with stock rom.
If i didnt use my mobile for nearly 5or 6 hours,at the time i use it,it is very laggy.
I mean when i woke up i can even unlock the lockscreen properly and cant type msg..

well i dont get that lag even without restarting device, whether im on ICS or GB,, (GB is surely faster on my mt25i) we both seem to have similar device, that link would help you, but be careful though
why not try clearing caches? have yout tried? or maybe you use too many applications that runs in background for example, a couple of messengers?

In this week I have tried nearly 6 roms..
*Play GB roms with Lupus Kernel
*currently - Xplay LITE ICS with Vengeance( Flashed 8 hours ago, installed no application, but when I tried to unlock the lock screen aftr 7 hours, result was same..very laggy. Wiped caches, data, sys etc .. )
With Stock rom there is no problem..even with MIUI + Turbo Kernel no issue was found and Roms like FXP,CM have no issue..
:'( please help me to sort this out..
Try flashing it to stock? If the outcome is the same maybe somethings wrong with hardware.. I really dnt know, guess u should ask for profesional help

Dear mate,if stock rom is better than the other rom for ur device,i suggest u to use stock rom....
Maybe with a few mod for stock rom....
U can experience with ur device to and if u used another custom rom for ur device and still have same problem, maybe u can ask the dev on the rom thread....
So the dev and other user can help u ...
Sorry about my English

I also installed RAMEXPANDER, SEEDER and AdFree... Just visit PlayStore...
This isn't my work, but it's my pleasure to share it here on the page for those who doesn't know about it. Credit goes to @idcrisis & @fivefour :good:
What is CrossBreeder?
This is a new take at improving Android and reducing GUI lag.
It's lightweight and won't consume battery. Users have reported drastic improvements in usability and battery life. It will show noticeable improvements.
All you need to try it in custom recovery. It is for all Android devices. ( not x86 ones ).
This is a combination of 5 different key methodologies to improve the Android experience:
Go to original thread for more info: Specifically Post#3 Latest version works in our device so go ahead and flash. If you don't find suitable just flash the uninstaller. (Don't worry uninstaller won't be needed) Try it. :victory:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113150
IMPORTANT - Please uninstall a prior version of CrossBreeder(Only if you already have) by flashing the attached latest uninstall ZIP before flashing the latest version. Please report problems only with the latest version of the software along with your model number, ROM details and the output of the following command:
su -c "/system/etc/CrossBreeder/CHECK_PROCS"
Please upgrade even if you're happy with a prior version as there are some prospective issues with prior versions which can result in your phone doing more work than necessary.
did u try it.. any difference in it?
Of course man it makes a hell lot of difference in performance

No, I got a massive drop in performance after installing crossbreeder.
I'm running custom ROM and custom kernel [kernel may not support crossbreeder, maybe]
I had to uninstall crossbreeder.
Haven't heard anything as such.

Bro, which version did you installed? I haven't heard anything like that and also haven't experienced like that. I have it installed. Works good. Lesser lag than before for sure. Quicker 2G internet... Overall performance increase is actually noticeable... Try to install latest 7.X.X.X version... :highfive:
Let me know what's the result.:fingers-crossed: I am using it on Whacky Rom no issues at all.... I loved the change it made to phone.:good: It's a must have script.:good:
Already flashed pure performance tz..

I was talking about crossbreeder. I have used pure performance too but not much difference I felt and so uninstalled it, but crossbreeder have made a lot of difference in performance of the phone. Waiting for you to try and get back here with your experience. :good:
First do uninstall pure performance just to avoid issues later on and otherwise you'll be dissatisfied with the crossbreeder...
Better check crossbreeder alone, you will feel the noticeable difference. :good:

Altogether
Altogether will not create any problem.

Check original thread of cross breeder it has a no auto start version which prevents bootloop and you can manually start it using a command in terminal emulator
Why is there a different version in the original thread?
Whats the differences betwewn the 2 veraions?
