I'm currently running v1.5 of the unofficial rom and I was wondering if anyone has found a sweet spot with the overclocking tool to where you still get better than stock performance but the battery life doesn't take a hit either.

Hi I just got a free used vibrant. I'm gonna use it as a back up phone. My primary is a Galaxy S 4G, running ICBINB. It's extremely smooth and stable with great battery life. I'm hoping someone can suggest a ROM for the Galaxy S Vibrant that's considered extremely stable and smooth with great battery life. I'm not really concerned about quadrant scores, just want stability and smoothness with lagfix like my 4G running ICBINB. Thanks.
Try project v with bali kernal

cm7 with neo 9 v5 and kb5 modem
Try ZenDroid. Very fast and stable with excellent battery life.

Lol this is a spamfest but...CM7. End of story.
And the Vibrant is actually a better device (with much more ROM/dev support) than your GalaxyS 4G unless you are concerned about the data network.
Bi-winng V3, zero issues, very fast and stable. Kernel has overclock ability. Dev is super nice guy and it has great support.
Almost all the froyo roms are perfectly stable and fast with great batt life... gingerbread isnt incredibly stable but its FAST and cm7 is great but youll have to deal with lack of gps and batt drain, so i suggesr froyo roms like bionix 1.3.1 or project v5

Anyone suggesting Gingerbread is leading you astray per your criteria.
Honestly, Trigger (2.2.. not the one based on CM7) would be my suggestion, or Project-V.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I will definitely go with one of the froyo roms, Thanks again!
I also used project v with bali kernal and was very happy.
Currently running GingerZen_RC3. I am having some issues with the GPS, but I'm will ing to make that sacrifice. No other issues at all with GingerZen.

how is that rom?
GingerZen is pretty nice, but Dev On Hold until a JVR kernel is out
Can someone confirm a working gps on revamped, project v, or trigger 2.3?

Hey guys i need some help.. I own a droid incredible and the ROMs and kernels there are great, i can always get awesome battery life with tiny's kernels.. My brother has the Samsung Fascinate and he wants some rooting love. He wants basically what i have: a stable rom with a kernel that will give him at lease better battery life than stock. I mean if there is a kernel out there that can do what tiny's kernels do for my droid incredible that would be amazing. so can someone point me in the right direction?? thanks!!!!
Froyo or Gingerbread?

Powerwashed Rom by ccampos, closest thing to stock so can be used as a daily driver and great battery life.

I personally would go with cm7 and use the glitch kernel. Set the undervolting settings and the phone lasts for quite a while. My percentage dropped 1% in almost 2 hours. I was doing a fairly moderate amount of texting and some browsing.
+1 for CM7.1 with Glitch kernel. Even if you don't change UV settings the battery life is pretty good.
Any suggestions for a stable rom and kernel for battery life? I need everything to work so probably need to stick with gingerbread. Thanks!!
Stock EH03. I've done a decent amount of reading about this topic and from what I understand RFS (default galaxy s file system, versus ext4 or mtd) consumes the least amount of power. Also, performance in EH03 is noticeably improved compared to the Froyo or Eclair builds on my device. Combined with full functionality I'd say its your best bet, unless you want to buy an extended battery.

If you didn't have to stick with gingerbread a dj05 ROM is far superior in battery life imho..

Right now I'm running the old leak on Xtreme Outcast's ROM and while I love it, battery life is awful. I'm probably gonna try that new kernel that Scott released, and I'd like to ask the community: what rom can I flash that has semi decent battery life? Is there anything else that I can do like scaling tweaks or something to Max out my battery life?

So far, the best battery life I've experienced was on joelz bamf 1.1.1 release. Although, nils just released a fairly new build that apparently boosts the battery significantly. Trying it out now.
So my best advice, run one a day and see what works best for you. All depends on what you're doing throughout the day, and as I'm sure you're aware, all phones will react differently to different roms/kernels.

RezRom 3.3 has amazing battery life
Newt has a Sense 4.0 thats going to drop this morning. You might want to check it out.
thanks for the feedback guys, I have both roms on my SD card and ill be sure to check newts sense 4.0 rom out. I heard his is based on the new leak. Do you think he'll have a patch for .13 users?

Iv tried both ROMs. I feel CM9 runs down the battery faster. Could it be a calibration thing? Can anyone confirm or deny my observation?
