.67 pre rooted image to custom rom .73?? - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hi, I'am actually running on .67 pre rooted img, in fact i've just root my xperia s , and i would like to know if i can install the KA05.2 Xperia SSpeed Released ?? because it's said in the post that :
"==credits==
- Sony for the .73 fw release.."
And so install too the DooMKernel [Rel:v03a] ?
Thx to you for your answers .

Yes you can, doom kernel v3a is not stable for all users so if you got any boot loop try kernel v1a.

ok great, awesome !
and can i install a doomkernel and which ? directly from my .67 img pre-rooted and then follow the ka05.2 instructions or i have to flash before a .73 pre rooted img ?

Install the rom first and make sure everything is working then try doom kernels.

as far as I know, you should have the firmware that ROM requires. So if ROM require .73 firmware you should flash it first. I ve got the same problem. I flashed doom advanced stock kernel 67 fw, but most of the ROM needs 73. If I am wrong, please someone correct me.

67 and 73 are the same, just some different tweaks.
Anyway when you install a rom it will override the system so don't worry no problem.

[ROM][XPERIA SOLA] 6.0.B.3.184 Central Europe

Can't say much more about the ROM than what's already in the title, I grabbed it from i-don't-quite-remember-where (but not from warez type sites) since I couldn't update with PCC 'cause of unlocked bootloader. Checked it and it's the real deal, got it flashed and running on my Sola. FTF packaged neatly in a RAR.

EDIT:
Yes the rom came from Irontech so all credits and thanks go to him for publishing it (i only remembered it was him who released it on forum when rohit gave the link), but i think its place is here where it won't be lost in waves of threads like on general.
File Size: 242.95MB ,will give it a try.

Check in the Update Centre, and if it is available, simply download and update your device. And no need to flash too!– I updated my phone this way today and it is completely safe. Hope that helps, mate

If I remember right you can't root manually yet. You have to flash a kernel with auto root etc.
If anyone knows otherwise please share!

[Xperia S]Root Question on 6.1.A.2.45

OK....now that we have a new ftf file(6.1.A.2.45)....some of us had a clean instal with wipping everything! And we lost our root acces!
The question is...How can we root the new firmware on unlocked bootloader? The old methods work olso for this firmware or we must wait for a kernel with root acces?

Yes...but the Advanced Stok Kernel doesn`t have the old ramdisk?
I understand that in this version(6.1.A.2.45) the ramdisk is newer and we get more free ram with it!By installing the Advanced Stock Kernel don`t we also install the old ramdisk?
Have you tried the method described here?

Thank you. This method works.
Just to recap, fastboot flash adv stock 14, then reboot normally until home screen. Reboot into fastboot again and flash stock kernel.sin from FTF. Root is retained.
But you'll lose CWM won't you? Even tho you'll be rooted?

Offcourse you will, and guess we have to wait for it for a little while. But for now, the root access works good for me =)
Flash whatever you need while on adv stock 14 before going back to stock. Then wait for adv stock 15
You can try this, I have not tried it though:

[Q] from KA02 xperia sspeed to kings rom

Hi everyone,
I'm still a little new to the whole flashing stuff of android!
A year ago I flashed my xperia u from stock android to KA02 xperia Sspeed.
This is the information:
- kernel: 2.6.35.7+ [email protected] #1
- build-number: KA02 xperia sspeed
Now I want to flash the kings rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1955630
But I need some more instructions than the ones given in the topic.
What do I need to do step by step to flash the kings rom?
Help is greatly appreciated, and I hope at a later day I can help someone here too!

First extract the zip, and then put the boot.img on the sd card
Second put the whole zip on the sd card
Third flash the boot.img, then flash the zip.
Correct?
