First, thank you for reading and helping.
Second, sorry if this has been asked, but every thread I see is slightly different.
I'm on GB 1.36.531.6 (never did the OTA Wifi calling update), I'm rooted, with CWM, Unlocked, with S-On.
How do I revert everything back like it was from factory? If I've read correctly, I need to flash to stock bootloader then flash an RUU? Do I need to re-lock beforehand or will flashing handle this?
Thank you in advance.
relock your bootloader, then flash ph85img in hboot. back to stock!
So I don't need to worry about CWM at all?
No need to worry about anything else after you flash the ph85img because it writes everything back to stock. Just like factory. The only thing that you'll see different is you Bootloader will say relocked instead of locked or unlocked.

And the last question I will have, how do I relock the bootloader? I remember a thread somewhere and I know it's a fastboot cmd.

I'm in the same situation as the op. I want to go back to stock so I can get the official OTA ICS upgrade.
I was able to re-lock my bootloader.
How the heck do you flash the ph85img.zip in HBOOT? I downloaded the "PH85IMG_Ruby_TMOUS_1.43.531.3_Radio_1.08.550L.19DC _30.66.550L.08D_release_228638_signed.zip" in the stock ROM collection thread, then renamed it to PH85IMG.zip.
But I did this after relocking the bootloader. So, I didn't place it on the SD card before relocking. Did it need to be done before? How do I access the SD card from HBOOT?
I tried typing fastboot update PH85IMG.zip in the cmd prompt, but that didn't do the trick.
Please help.

Rename eng hboot "PH85IMG" and flash it like a RUU in hboot.
Then put ICS ROM on sd card and name it "PH85IMG" also. Replace hboot file. Then flash the Rom in hboot and boom... Done

Hey guys, I'm backing up everything and am going to go back to stock and then flash to the official ICS and root, etc.

Do I really need to get s-off to get ICS? I was under the impression it wasn't necessary.

Don't flash it from your pc. Put PH85IMG.zip on the root of your sd card then boot into hboot and it will do everything automatically.

how does that work out considering you have to go through HBOOT to get to the recovery, unless you're running a custom ROM with the modded shutdown menu.

you need to htc dev unlock still
or
flash con's patched GB hboot ONLY IF YOU ARE ON GB FIRMWARE
if your on the ics leaked firmware then flash jounpunutbear's modified ics hboot
check the md5 sum before you flash
if you don't know what an md5 sum is then look it up and just htc dev unlock

After a few failed attempts at S-OFF, my phone would only boot into recovery or bootloader. I think the s-off process wiped /boot.
It does, it writes its own boot and recovery to run the exploit

I'm S-on and running Conrom. I decided to relock and go back to stock to take the latest update.
After executing fastboot oem lock, my phone won't boot past the Hboot screen.
When I installed Conrom I temp flashed amon ra. After that my hboot said Tampered but everything worked great.
Now it says Tampered, Relocked, Security Warning.
How do I get back to the .12 OTA or Conrom for that matter?
Fastboot devices will return my serial number. Adb devices returns nothing.
Thanks!
Fastboot unlock. Or just S-Off.

Any idea how I need to proceed?

you have to be on a stock hboot before re-locking. i would flash a stock hboot, then re-lock, and finally ruu.
EDIT: just saw you are still S-ON. I honestly forget the workarounds for being S-ON.

I *think* I'm on a stock hboot. I never purposely changed it so it should be stock unless Conrom changed it.

Before you flash the PH98IMG file you'll need to lock your bootloader. This will get you to the stock OTA from last week, and you should be able to get the new OTA.

I already have the ruu on my computer. I installed it before I installed Conrom and then removed it from my sd card. I realize I need to lock my bootloader but that's where I got hung up. When I relocked, it wouldn't boot past the hboot/fastboot screen.
I don't know if it's safe to put the ruu back on my sd card, relock and reload the ruu.
Here is the the 3.14.605.10 RUU as a PH98IMG:

You just need to drop that on your SD card and go.
I still stand by my recommendation of S-Off. Never unlock again!
Also makes flashing RUUs and such way easier.

I'll give it a whirl. When I locked it, that's when it gave me the security warning and wouldn't boot to the rom. It did look for the PH98IMG file which wasn't on the sd card so I'll try that again with it on the sd card. Hopefully it will load as it should.

No need to lock as flashing the RUU in bootloader will relock it for you, it will also s-on. The important part is to make sure you are on a stock hboot, which it looks like you are. If you want to go through the effort of flashing the RUU, just flash it, then you will need to unlock and s-off if you'd like

I get this:

I ran across a thread in another forum that had links to some that could be flashed like an RUU, but the link was dead. Bootloader thinks they are RUU update and will run like any other RUU but only flashes the recovery and wipes nothing but stock recovery. Does anyone have that handy or know where else it can be found.

Once you s-off you can't use the flashboot flash commands unless you install the jb hboot or unlock again. Most people say to stay locked....Howard here would beg to differ. I am unfamiliar with sideload but seems like with the correct files and the right person with sideload experience, you should be ok, Someone will step up here, may take a bit.
Its ok its very fixable, at this point. Just be very careful and very patient.
The worst thing you can do with something like this is get in a hurry or try to fix it while you're still very stressed out.
I'm passing on this advice because I almost screwed up yesterday because I made a boo boo and was in a huge hurry.
I'm going to wait for someone who knows more about this particular issue to chime in, but you have my word, I will help you resolve it after I do some more research while I wait for someone with more information or experience to post some info.

Re-Unlock your bootloader with your Unlock token (Unlock_code.bin) then do a fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and use the CWM recovery that is 6.0.2.8 (i believe is the most recent version) and you should be able to sideload your rom ... or if sideloading doesnt work just do an adb push rom.zip /sdcard/rom.zip and that will put the rom that you want to use on the root of the sdcard and then you can flash that there...
This should hopefully get you working again...

The RUU flashes a stock recovery... all that is required for running the RUU is a LOCKED bootloader...
Did you by chance take the OTA op? because if you did the RUU wont work...

I'm away from my pc right now but if you look around the forum for the link to stock recovery, it might help as suggested above

No I haven't. I used the s-off facepalm method and I did everything as it said and now when I went into recovery nothing will mount and my device when trying to use the RUU says its a 2.04. So I didnt take the ota but thats what it is recognized as
I was on a JB rom, didn't like due to the bugs, figuired I'd go back to Sense and wait it out until a 'stable' JB rom comes out. I wanted to go back to Ineffabilis Deus v1.2 and his thread he recommends flashing back to 4.03.605.2 RUU before flashing his rom. So I did the the RUU but now I'm back to stock recovery, etc.?
Couple questions...
- Did I lose root/su?
- Am I still unlocked/s-off
- Do I have to do the wire trick again
If all of the above are yes I guess I start buy flashing AmonRa, how do I do that again? After I flash AR I'll have root access again, right?
Thanks for the help,
MAC
You will retain s off through anything you do.
You lost root and your custom recovery.
You will have to flash a custom recovery and then a superuser to gain root. Then you'll be back to normal stock rom rooted and free to flash a custom rom again.
Also you probably lost everything in internal sd so yeah.... I lost some good photos from that before

You didn't need to RUU your phone to go back to Dues if you were already on that firmware level. The thread just recommends you be at 4.03.605.2.
Follow the guide to re-install your recovery.

That doesn't work for an .img file.
You need adb installed on your pc to flash an .img file. Copy the file somewhere, bring up a command prompt, reboot the phone to the bootloader, select fastboot, plug it into your PC, run "fastboot flash recovery path/to/recovery.img" without the quotes.
You can also just download the all in one toolkit which contains everything you need - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1504824

Place this in your sdk platform tools folder
http://unlimited.io/downloads/hboots/vigor/ICS_3.14.605.5/jb_hboot.zip
Then flash using the following commands:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip jb_hboot.zip
fastboot reboot
Then you can proceed with your recovery flash. Technically, you don't need to root again. A custom rom will cover that for you.

That hboot is fine, if you're s-off you can download the latest here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1614366
If you're s-on you need to download the whole RUU with the 2.27 hboot, re-lock your phone and install it via hboot.

The firmware patch will upgrade all the firmware only without wiping out your rom. It will only work if you're s-off and you need to rename it and flash it in the bootloader.

The stock 2.27 only allows pc fastboot remote to only certain commands. Also the 2.25 hboot will work fine, sometimes you don't need the latest firmware.
