Hi
i would like to unlock my Nokia Lumia 800.
What is the best method i should use now please ?
I gone onto chevron blog but it seems they stopped to sell tokens..
I you guys have a free method i'm of course open to any offer!
thx for help
There is this unlock method called "Search". By using this method you'll come across the diffrent levels of unlocks.
Dev. unlocks
Interop. unlocks
Root unlocks
Full unlocks
Developer unlocks can be achieved by buying an App Hub Account. If you're a Student on a School that is registered in Microsofts DreamSpark Programm you can get a Student unlock for free.

You must either
(1) call AT&T and request the unlock code for your phone. This is free but they usually only do it when you have had the phone for a certain amount of time, and even then sometimes they will still refuse.
or
(2) pay a small amount on eBay or another site that sells unlock codes for the HTC Aria. This usually is quick and painless, but not free.
Being rooted doesn't help you with the SIM lock unfortunately.
thank you for your help, unfortunately i didn't use at&t, i'll go with option 2
Can't unlock for free?
Why is it that there is an app I used to get the unlock code for FREE on a Samsung Captivate, but, there isn't something like that for the Aria, let alone any other phone? I'd like to unlock my Aria and sell it on ebay because I have no further use for it now that I am with Sprint.
That's actually a mistake made by Samsung with the Captivate. They unintentionally placed the unlock code for each phone in the phone memory where anyone can access it if they know to look for it. HTC did not make the same mistake with the Aria, so no easy-to-obtain unlock codes for it.
Hi, I just wanted some help regarding unlocking my Lumia. I am a bit confused at the moment, is an interop unlock possible or not? It is currently chevron unlocked with chevron labs which I paid $9 for but a lot of the stuff I want to do can't be done without an interop unlock.
The phone was bought on contract, t-mobile UK but it was bought from a special cashback website and the phone is unlocked and has no branding that I can notice, no splash screen etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Your phone is chevron unlocked, not interop unlocked. At the moment the Chevron Labs* and AppHub unlocks are the only unlocks possible for the Lumia. (Apart from sim unlock which is possible but for now will cost you a lot of money.)
To see why it cannot be interop unlocked, digg trough the following threads:
- [GUIDE] INTEROP-UNLOCK for MANGO - No 0x81030120 (Samsung/LG/HTC 1st gen)
- The WindowBreak Project
You may also want to search for my last messages as i have explained a couple of times now why it's not possible.
* Chevron Labs unlock are sold out for the moment, but since you already got a token that's not a problem here.
Unfortunately interop-unlock is not yet possible for the Lumia 800 or any other 2nd Gen device if I am not mistaken. The Chevron unlock only allows 10 max of sideloaded apps and can't edit the registry.
Ok, well guess I'll have to stick to the chevron unlock for now. Is there any indication of when an interop unlock will be available or at least a registry editor?
Its too hard to wait
Isnt it ??
i hope someone achieve interop unlock soon
Lets hope so, loving WP but just a few things i'd like to change. Accent colour, navigation letters on the app list.
Hi!
It is possible, to dev unloc my nokia lumia 710 phone?

Not possible yet. Only if you pay Micrsosft 99$ or getting student unlock if you are student. Student unlock allow only 3 apps to be sideloaded (installed)

I found a ZTE Midnight Pro for Simple Mobile on Ebay for $14.95. The phone seems pretty nice for that price and it came with service for month, but once that month is up...well, I'd love to unlock it and Root it and so on...
MOST of all Unlock. BUT, all the places say I just put in a sim from someone else and the box should open right up for me to input the Code...Nuh uh.
What happens is this:
Network Lock!
This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the Device Unlock application to unlock the device. Make sure the device has an internet connectivity to use the Device Unlock application.
Comes up on screen. So..is this thing unlockabl;e? Since there is no Device Unlock App that I can find for Tracfone/Simple Mobile, and Tracfone says I need to pay for a YEAR before I can unlock.
HELP!?
James
You might be able to buy a Sim unlock code. I would reread the tos as once the device is payed off in full they have to unlock it by law.
As for root and stuff like that, I wouldn't hold your breath as the bootloader on ZTE are normally locked down and no one really developes for low tier devices.
The phone will arrive in a few days, figured I should start a thread in advance.
I've unlocked and rooted every phone I owned since the HTC HD2. I've tried to prepare but I've hit a wall everywhere I looked. All the methods of unlocking bootloader and rooting seem to be outdated.
Is there still a way to root the Mate 20 Pro? I'm willing to spend some money to get it done but it seems the unlock codes are no longer available, I haven't found an alternative way to do so.
Unfortunately for now there is no way to have BL unlock codes for Huawei, but sometimes you can buy them from third party services like FunkyHuawei (don't buy it from them tho) or Global Unlocking etc.. But you have to be quick cause, it's available only for a few days.. I got my BL unlock code for free on here so just be patient and check XDA as often as possible..
But the prices have varied a lot lol it started at $155 to 6$ (the cheapest I could see) , don't pay too much for it
Ps : maybe @crys18 can help you to have a code? (This awesome man provided me a free BL unlock code and many others too, but he offers good prices when the BL unlock codes are available.
Phone arrived today, just started tinkering with it. Bought on ebay, BOE display if it matters. Where would I go to stay updated on when bootloader unlock codes become available?
