[Q] Possibilities of moving system apps between devices - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

First let me say, I have searched, and while there are several questions similar to mine, I have been unable to find a usable answer in any of them. Hopefully nobody becomes too enraged with me for asking this question. And thanks in advance.
I just replaced my HTC EVO 4G on Sprint with a Samsung Galaxy Note (i717) on AT&T. In doing so, I found there are obviously many differences in apps and UI between the 2 devices. All my system apps were backed up with TiBu.
What are the possibilities of using some of those apps in my new phone? Specifically, I was interested in the HTC music app & widget, along with the clock & weather widget. There are some others that I'd like to move over.
Is it possible to move these kinds of apps across devices with different manufacturers, different UIs and different carriers? If someone could explain the options/limitations, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Samsung Galaxy S Launcher apk?

I have noticed that some ROMs and at least one I know of for Hero, feature the Samsung Galaxy Launcher, which is basically the slightly different version/look/feel of Android as it is features on Samsung Galaxy variant phones. One of the best highlights is the iPhone-like application view which I find neat and tidy.
My question is simple: How do these developers put this Launcher into their ROMs? Is there a readily available .apk file that one can flash on to their phones, or some other method to install it?
Though I am specifically asking for the HTC Hero, ideally such a solution could help with my HTC Desire as well!
You can grab it from here. I have used it on my Hero and it runs pretty good. Obviously you don't get the Samsung widgets but you get all the other features
Just install it like any other .apk

Sense Roms are only avaliable for HTC devices, which allready come with Sense.
However there are a lot of themes and apps, which imitate the sense-look.
Launcher Pro, Go Launcher and ADW for example are themeable launchers, for which you can get sense themes from the market.
There are also some widgets in the market which copy the look of htc sense.
Just search for "sense" in the market
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks

Q - Stock Galaxy Tab apps?

I recently installed the Overcome Rom with the help of the q/a forum. Its works exellent altough some of the stock apps are missing. I especially liked the Social widget app which used Twitter among others. I seem to recall it was named SNL or something similar but I cant locate in the forums nor on the market. I'll love if anybody would by willing to share it if possible?
Thanks in advance.

Samsung Apps, More Services, and Play Store?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the android world and to these forums. I just got my Galaxy S3 on Sprint and so far I'm loving it. I just had a question about what the difference between these App providers is? I don't really want to create a Samsung account, so I seem to have no use for this app. Is everything they offer also available on Play Store? Also, what is the More Services app?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching but couldn't find it.
*bump*
any insight on this? i'm thinking about just deleting samsung apps... but I don't want to regret it later
The apps on the Samsung Apps store are very repetitive (at this point) from other markets. But hey...the more apps the merrier...
