Does your phone have the latest SW ?
As you need the ..12070 or later sw to see more info.
All those were in older firmware, as of 12070, only few items are shown, the other were not being displayed correctly so nokia choose to remove them instead of fixing the actual values!
i have asked a trainer in Nokia Training Academy for this. He said that the older ODDT was iun older FW put there by mistake from their R&D. this is why they removed it and have the simple ODDT.
im on the latest firmware, 12072
thx for replies guys
strange..
I was wondering why my battery was decreasing so fast whereas my phone is new, i disabled everything in background, no wifi, bluetooth, gps, only 3 g and a gmail account 1h check period..
xbox live disabled.
hope tango will increase battery life...

Hi Folks,
It would be great if you guys can share your battery stats (Not the diagnostics apps, hours (or days?) from battery saver). Our favorite blog, WPcentral, claims that they have tripled their battery life. I can say mine improved by a few hours.
I regularly got 1day 12 hours on my Venue Pro, but it it hard to get 24 hrs on the Lumia even after the update.
Update: I rolled back to the previous version (11500) as I wanted the official version. I got the official 12070 now. Now battery shows 1 day 16 hours.. just like my old Venue Pro. I recommend everyone who used cab update to roll back and install an official update as it started rolling out now.
Remaining battery life: 21%
Time since last charge: 1 day 10 hours
So two full days it can last me. I have used it "normaly". Not heavily and not lightly. 3G on at all times of course.
I had the exact same battery life on 11500. I was never affected by bad battery life to begin with.

I run 3g on/wifi on/bluetooth off/2 push email accounts/1 hourly pull/whatsapp/lync/amazing weather tile and when left while sleeping I get about 11-12 hours runtime according to battery monitor in the morning which is based on no use while I sleep so its the lowest screen use possible. I have a slight advantage with 3G on due to the fact I have a femtocell (mini mobile mast) which usually means the 3G radio doesnt need to amp the power as much.
Turning the Message "Online" for facebook/msn reduced this to about 10 hours as a tip for you all.

For me, this update changes nothing! The Battery drain is still at 180-330 mA... 17 hours battery life with standby, 12 with use. Terrible ...
Even after Hardreset.
In standby it consumes 4-5% / hour.... With a full 3G bar.
Wow Erazor84 your battery life is much better then mine.
My phone was great from day 1 (got it in November 2011), it lasted for almost 48 hours even with original firmware, and charged to 1480mAh. With latest update I get pretty much the same (ie. good) battery life.
Major battery drain seems from poor 3G signal and phone switching between 2G / 3G all the time.

maybe mine is better than yours, but it's way too low... my omnia 7 has the same config and the same apps installed. battery lifetime -> 1day and 36 hours... so the lumia is still a faulty device ...

Which firmware were you before? 11501 or 11500?
Have you done any hard resets/full flashes?
If I had that battery life I would be happy. I thought generally wifi was lighter then 3G but I wonder if thats the reverse on Nokia's.
I'm considering to update my Lumia to the latest 12070 update.
What's the correct way of doing this?
My handset is unbranded, Black bought in Denmark.
I've seen that an Australian version is available in NaviFirm.
Do you have an upgrade procedure? I've Zune, SDK and Nokia Care Suite installed.

To do this and keep your settings you must use a Zune pushed update (official way) or the cab method.
If you use the navifirm you cant restore backups from older versions which means you will hard reset your phone.
Do you have a guide for the cab method?

I flashed it once to latest Czech (8107) firmware and updated to 8107.12070 via CAB. But battery drain is still basically the same as on 7720 - awesome.

That really suggests mine has a fault then. I have never seen it say over 14 hours really. I am just turning things off. Do you have facebook/twitter added in as well?
Was 8107 version 11501 then? I am tempted to flash mine clean when the newest roms come out for UK.
What kind of discharge rates do you get?
I was getting around 130mAh discharge rate on idle, now around 75mAh (with 12070 update). So I guess battery should be even better now, but it was good before as well.
059J3G0 variant was distributed directly by Nokia (got an "influencer" phone).

Influencer aka the ones they know work
Hmm it appears if 3G is on after 20-30 seconds it jumps to 250-350ma even though wifi is on. It can go higher but I put that down to background tasks.
With 3G off it sits normally < 100.
I am tempted to flash mine but I am just trying to figure out how much pain it will be getting back up and running since you cant use backups?
Anyone downgraded before? procedure?
Edit: Even in battery saver mode its running at 267ma which should disable background apps and data stuff but leave the connection active.

Updated yesterday morning and this has not improved my usage with 3G enabled. I spend most of my time in WiFi areas so had got used to leaving the network set to 2G, which looks to be what I'll have to go back to.
I'll try a hard reset for the sake of completion, then do more tests with the 3G on and off.

After 2 days with the newest 12070 fw my battery seems to last for 1day~12 hours. Something i have learned to expect from GS, N9 and iPhone 4.
Before the update 800 lasted for around 20 hours, with heavy use it would have been dead in 12 hours. Update before 12070 did nothing, but this was clearly the update i was waiting for. Finally i can use it like a smartphone as i really do love Metro UI, but the battery life has killed it of for me.
On idle the battery drain is now around 75mAh, compared to previous ~130mAh.
After 2 days with the new firmware: It is better than with 11500 but still not good enough. 12 hours with use, 20 hours with standby ... In idle 253 mA Battery drain.... In Flight Mode 84 mA.
My Provider only has 3G. 3 Austria does not provide a GSM or Edge Signal. So the cause is the 3G Signal ... With Flight mode (around 84mA) the battery life is great!
So let's wait for another Firmware

Hi.
I buy Nokia Lumia 800. And now, i have poor battery life. I disabled all apps, and dont have background task.
I read on the internet, if dont have latest FW, then u will poor battery life.
I have :
OS version : 7.10.8773.98
FW : 1750.0805.8773.12220 .
How to solve poor battery life? How to update latest update for LUMIA 800? HELP
Have you synced your Phone in the last time with Zune? it should show you the latest update, sry if i cant say if you have the latest FW but i don't own the 800
if you have no Zune, or its not show any update, then you should watch in your Settings on your Phone, theres a update option
what is your description of "poor" for my Lumia 710 i get 1-3 Days, 3 Days when all data disabled and no use (just SMS and Phone sometimes) and 1 Day with 3G on and Apps running in Background like whatsapp
a girl in my class has the 900 and he also has a bad battery life (he sad) but she has the same time
hope i helped in something

mhh. Yes, i synced. :/ Zune say's ,that i have latest update.
But i disabled all, and no use. (sometimes play zombie, doodlejump , just sms ,phone,3G maybe use 5min. ) and get maybe 1day. :/ And dont have background tasks :/
and also, i choose brightness low! :/ and battery saver on..
Considering I get twice that battery life doing the tasks you do, I suggest you go to a service to have your battery replaced. It might have a high wear level.
Playing Games is the best way to get your Battery empty ;D i dont know but i think 1 day is for the Smartphone generation today normal :/
Dear Community, I got a huge problem regarding battery drain.
My Android System soaks a huge amount of battery, even so much, that my phone is using more energy than the charger provides.
This happens on XperianZe 0.9.8 ROM (with stock kernel) as well as the new stock ROM (XXEMC2) and I got no clue what I may actually do?
Any suggestions?
//edit:
Elixir2 shows that com.sec.android.providers.downloads (15,74% CPU usage) and security providers (com.android.providers.security, android, com.google.android.backup and com.android.providers.settings) (26,75% CPU) seem to be the main problems.
Play store is using 5% and the other processes are between 0 and ~2-3 percent....
//edit2:
Even if I stop these two the phone itself is charging quite slowly and if I start Ingress it slowly discharges...
Thanks in advance,

Try a different kernel with that ROM...let us know...
The problem itself still remains, I did also do a clean install of XperianZe 0.9.8 again (this time with Boeffla kernel instead of stock one).
And Elixir still shows the same processes as cpu usage hungry, but in difference from the stock kernel the phone charges while running Ingress, if I end these two processes.
But why do these 2 need so much CPU power?
Has anybody got an idea how to fix this malfunction?
I found out, what it actually has been...
The original cable seems to be defective, another cable works just fine.
Hi y'all .
Recently I got a Redmi Note 10 4/64 variant . I'm currently using my old phone Redmi 6A , while Redmi Note 10 just lies in desktops corner.
MIUI 12.0.1 , 5000 MAh and 33W .
I installed one game to try the performance , then cleared all the apps and went to sleep . In the morning , I saw more than %25 battery drained for almost no reason .
•I don't even use the phone
•Bootloader is unlocked
•The phone doesn't have a SIM inside , so it can't get signals would cause battery drain
•The phone doesn't have any apps installed besides stock ones . I only installed one game and two or three local shop apps.
•I always make sure nothing runs in the background(the way I use the phone)
Here is the graph
Edit : I can feel device's little heat even when posting this.
The phone call you see is made by my mom . I did let her borrow my phone one time , except that the phone doesn't have a SIM inside as I mentioned
Same here, Android system draining too much battery

Hi guys ,
As I am using the same phone and same varient(4/64) I can suggest some tips to save your battery.(working for both 4/64 & 6/128).
This measures can be applied in Redmi Note 10/ Pro / Pro Max also.
•You should turn off your Wifi / Mobile data when not in use otherwise apps like analytics play store etc. can run in the background and drain your battery.
•Uninstall the pre-installed apps which can be removed from your phone like Mi credit, Mi store etc. If possible change your keyboard to google keyboard(g board).
•Don't Software update your phone it may consume more memory and also cause to drain your battery faster than before.
•Go to setting search for Authorisation & revocation
And disable the permissions of apps like msa, MiuiDaemon, System apps updater, Get Apps, Updater.
•Then disable the following :
Disable it ↑
• Then open a folder and click on its name and disable promoted apps option.
I think I have covered everything. If anybody wants to add something just reply. I hope you find it helpful, if so please subscribe my youtube channel:
The road to great battery life doesn't require extreme restriction. Here you can see the power consumption results for my phone. I should mention that Wifi and GPS are permanently on. Synchronisation is also permanently enabled for Email, Messenger and Smart Life.
It consumes about 3% of the battery in 8 hours of standby time.
I use the Pixel Experience Plus ROM.
It is important not to use any functions that permanently (even during standby) monitor any of the sensors. Such as preventing waking up in the pocket.
I have disabled all automatic updates.

I've been tuning battery saving on smartphones since Android 2.1
Current hardware doesn't suffer as much from sustained discharge as it used to. Today, it is no longer necessary to turn off Wifi and GPS. But now it is advisable to reduce the CPU power in standby mode, because the manufacturer leaves the power at an increased frequency in the base to improve the phone's response.
Hey guys.
Just for the record I am testing the Xperia 1 iv battery drain in standby.
The phone seems to drain over night by 20% that's alot for juice compared to the Google pixel 6 pro or over phones like the oneplus 10 pro etc.
I have started this discussion to see if anyone else here , having drain issues maybe due to the overheating issue to drain battery down but that's only if the phone is using apps that are demand CPU etc.
I will keep testing this ,my thoughts are, thats alot of battery drain for standby mode.
I think Sony my need to do more future firmware updates to address this issue
mine uses some 5-6 % overnight, generally veeeeery happy with battery life.
Maybe you have something running in the background that is killing it. Something that pings the network all the time. What does batt status tells you?
2nd time charging the device is a little better working out 2 percent per hour at present.
Thanks for the reply

Hi could you please give us your build number ? We have 64.0.A.8.25 in Europe, released the 1st of August, thanks .
in that thread* we 've been said , the 64.0.A.8.25 is only a safety one
* https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/xperia-overheating-problem.4467263/
I am on 64.0.A.5.71 Running a dual SIM mode with a digital SIM. I am also rooted with Magisk 25.2. All my Google apps are removed, so my phone runs without Google support. No Facebook or social media apps, also no games. No battery drain happening. It mainly depends on the apps you have pre-installed. Some apps are capable to use mic, or gps in the background even when they are not active. Any unrooted device is a potential privacy, and security risk, specially when you have facebook and google apps installed.

build number please!!!
The august build
I am getting over eight hours sot. Now also a tip is to calibrate the gaming app to battery prefer and then select samina mode on on all your games
Theae settings on you get no overheating issues also if you play retro games or name it's not too demanding on your CPU.
Also I have social media apps installed over 330 apps including games etc and utils.
No need to root the device at all. Thanks guys
There is a new firmware available. 64.0.A.8.25 I am not going to try it, i don't want to root and reinstall my device from scratch. Mine only have 40 apps installed, mostly root related. Nothing allowed to run on the background, except call recorder. All my apps only have internet access if they are in the foreground, except my banking app and skype , icq . The device does overheat when the camera is active for a while, however I only have it about a week.
