Hi Rueban can you post the YouTube 720 p HD apk I would like to try it and I subscribed on YouTube

Thank you for the release. I was wondering if development for the 5.0 stopped. I will try it tonight on my US device and report back.
One question, would you mind sharing the method you used to fix the Market when you change the DPI to 200?. I change it to that value as well but only after I installed all the apps I want; trying to install new apps after the DPI changes is a no no.

Ha yea i was thinking that as well. I plan to see if I can port more great roms to this device but im at college at the minute so will have to wait a few weeks. Yea i found here are the two files i changed the market (vending) and Googleservicesframework. Feel free to take a look at them. I cant take credit for this though I found them by anonymous on a web forums
File1
File2
These files will b installed in /system/app and will work with any dpi. They make the market think that the dpi is 240.

No sorry im a porter not a dev.

Thank you for the reply.
I have an observation. In the description you state that US users should apply the ROM and then the proper kernel (Entropy's Daily Driver?).
Shouldn't be the kernel first and then the ROM?
Newcomers might get confused.

Hey Rueben do you mind telling me/linking me to the method of porting you used for LewaOS? I want to port JoyOS to our Galaxy Players and I'm pretty shure that the porting methods are the same. Thanks in advance, peace.

Im pretty sure your supposed to flash the kernel after because the rom contains the wrong kernel. On my Galaxy s2 I always flash a particular kernel after because the rom contains a different one.

Yep here's the link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1623464 Although this only ports the ROM over. You will need to remove apps, edit buid prop, add tweaks e.g. init.d and remove junk like phone service.

Have you tried flashing Entropys kernel after flashing the ROM.

Yeah, I just noticed the big "AOSP" on the title, haha.
EDIT: I wiped everything, flash the ROM, then Entropy's kernel and it doesn't boot.

Ok thanks fir trying, ive just made a new ROM that i Think should work for the USA version. Heres the download link: http://www.mediafire.com/?tfsykmm80zqymgo
Try booting straight after flashing the ROM and if that does not work try flashing the kernel after flashing the ROM. Please get back to me on how it works thanks.
Note that the version i am asking you to flash is not final, e.g. it does not have tweaks etc.

Cm7 uses a different initramfs than stock, so you can't use entropy's kernel since this is based off of cm7. You have to stick with the kernel included with this rom.

E:Error in /sdcard/LeWa_ROM_v1.USA.VERSION.zip

When I reinstalled the first version you uploaded without Entropy's kernel, it booted, but to tell you the truth, it has many cellphone related visual features for my taste.
I hope it helps.

Theme-ing!:
This package was created by eep2378, Neo3000, and Checkrom Kitchen, Thanks a lot guys, This will open our rom up and continue to have great speed and compatibility system wide!
Flash-able Stock theme.zip
Just flash this over your current installation and then you should have stock rom, when flashing any other theme, do the following.
1. Flash the stock theme.zip provided above. (Recovery, install zip)
(This should give you a stock theme after, it's normal, First reboot will take a while! This is normal.)
2. Go into Titanium Backup and uninstall Deluxe Settings (Jkay mod)
3. Go to the i9100 section of the board and check under themes&apps to find which one you like, almost all of them should work.
(this right here is the main reason why I started this thread, to help YOU!)
4. Enjoy! Jkay should be installed with any theme automatically. I tried ICS Dom and it works great! Any questions, feel free to ask!

All these roms are already out guys. The only change is entropy's hellraiser is being dropped into it. It's kinda weird that multiple threads are needed for one rom. Especially when the original rom Creator has a dedicated thread for the perspective rom.
Don't take any of what I said as an attack guys. I'm sure you can understand what I'm trying to say.

Yeah totally. Everything will work just fine with the i9100 roms as long as their hellraised. Most all the bugs and reports are all in the respective i9100 threads though. I think I might just get a sticky thread going will all of the i9100 roms hellraised and links to the original threads so that they can all just be in one place for everyone to grab easily.

Never said there was anything wrong with it bro. Just said that this rom already has a thread. Not much work into it. All that has to be done is. Flash i9100 rom (like usual), then flash hellraiser. Done.

+1 Hell raiser has been out for a while now so we(I777 users) have had this from as an option for a while. Its a simple rom flash and hell raiser flash on top and your done. Nothing really new here and there are over 10,000 posts in the foxhound thread I'm sure if anyone has any problems you can find the answer there
Sent from Wernicke's Area
people will more than likely flash this rom now that its here, than if it were only in the 9100 section. Either people are too lazy to venture over to the 9100 section or people are afraid to use hellraiser (or dont know how to use it because they dont read).
Alright! Just got permission from original dev and will be linking him to my post as soon as it's finished! Should be soon as it's already more than half done.
Reason by making this is so I can help other romaholics flash this and get the results they want. I plan on making this a help thread as well, possibly posting some stuff to help others use this rom with themes. (It doesn't quite work out of the box, since its i9100, BUT there is a way to use themes with this rom!)
Uploading the rom's first release to my dropbox (can't find anything else that will let me upload 300mbs... lol. At least drop is fast xD
Anyways, As previously stated, this rom is to allow people to get comfortable with our SGH-i777 User base and get in to touch with those who might be afraid to use hellraiser like I used to. Also to get some life in our forum!
Anyways, Here it goes! Foxhound agogo baby!

Properly Patched installer: for people coming from a Rom with a build.prop that says SGH-I777.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/qtewk8
The flash-aholic installer does not complete the process. On top of that after just getting it to boot, the build.prop still needs to be modified to say SGH-I777 instead of GT-I9100. Also my previously installed rom was a CM nightly
Update 2: New link with patched build.prop also otherwise you would not be able to flash the rom a 2nd time for install
ha my bad didnt see that. thx for this sky. imma try it out later. how do u like it compared to miui?

It's not that, its that it makes it difficult to flash back to other roms.

this thing is blazing, i also really like the minimalist theme
Also took an antutu test (even though benchmarks aren't usually my thing) and got 7521with everything set to performance. Around 6511 at my normal settings

(It doesn't matter what rom you are on, it doesn't matter if you are already running my rom!!! Follow the install instructions exactly as they are written!!!)
YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE DooMLorDs CUSTOM RECOVERY AND KERNEL IN ORDER TO FLASH THIS ROM!!! IF YOU DON'T HAVE THOSE TWO THINGS THEN DON'T FLASH THIS ROM!!!
If you want to use Stock Kernel Follow the directions below after flashing this ROM and booting it up first!!!
1) Put Galaxy Task ROM on your Tablet
2) Backup all the apps you want to keep with Titanium Backup
3) Make a Nandroid Backup in CWM
4) Wipe Cache Partition, Wipe Dalvik Cache (In Advanced), & Wipe Data/Factory Reset
5) Choose install zip
6) Done!!! REBOOT!!!
To use Stock Kernel follow these directions only after following all the steps above!!!
1) After the above steps and reboot move on to step #2
2) Download both of these files and put the wifi modules zip onto your tab ( http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/HTC_Jetstream/stockjetstreamboot.img) (http://goo-inside.me/devs/task650/HTC_Jetstream/Stock_wifi_modules.zip )
3) flash the stockjetstreamboot.img with fastboot
4) Then in CWM recovery flash the wifi modules.
5) Done!!! You should have working wifi with stock kernel
(You MUST be on V2 to flash V3!!! Just wipe cache & dalvik cache to update to the latest release)

not much yet. couldnt get ICS working on this tab. Had to send it in twice to get it fixed after trying. but this seems a lot better then stock.
@ EVERYONE
sorry about how long this has taken me to get going. with my daughter being diagnosed with cancer and everything that comes along with that I sort of lost my mind for a while. but i have a little bit more patience for development now and I'm going to try my best to make this rom as great as my Galaxy Tab 10.1 rom.
first of all - thank you!!
secondly, what android version is this based upon? 3.1? 3.2? not that it matters too much.
and most importantly - do we really must have doomlord's kernel? quite a few devices here are suffering from stability issues with that kernel, mine included.
Thank you for your contribution. Hope your daughter has a quick recovery.
Sent from my HTC PG09410 using XDA
well,
downloaded and installed.
looks awesome! and in the first few minutes it feels nice and smooth.
first thing that cought my eye - the pen icon still has the 3.x look..grey. the other premenant icons are now blue, i know it sounds silly but that bothers me a bit.
i hope that the kernel will remain stable with this version.

Can this be flashed and maintain the factory kernel by removing any kernel related files like the wifi module if that DoomLord kernel does not work well on our device?

Not sure what you guys are finding unstable with it. But that's your choice to use whatever kernel you wish. But I'm not supporting other kernels or problems that stem from them at this time. So any issues that arise when using stock kernel shouldn't be brought up in this thread. The install instructions say it all.
I've been running his kernel with no issues at all for a while.
I must agree with Task. I've been using DooM's kernel since I got my tablet and I've never had any issues it runs so much better then stock kernel.

Glad it's working out for you guys. For many of us it creates stability issues and daily reboots. So I'm sure some of us would like to be able to use a custom ROM
and the factory kernel over no decent ROM at all.

To be honest, this is not tablet mode at all, it has nothing to do with silly build.prop hacks. This is the first and only Android rom to feature true Hybrid mode. This rom lets you scale and project every app, every widget, even systemcomponents individually. Remember, android is modular, everything is an app: Lockscreen, navigationbar, dialogs, popups, keyboards, widgets, and your regular apps of course. Apps have the capability to switch into various designs or layouts according to the device they run on. This can result in a complete new experience as many apps will transform to the better.
Now for every element that you like chose a mode (PhoneUI, Phablet/Nexus-7UI, TabletUI) and/or a size. You are 100% independent of the system DPI which runs nicely in whatever value it has been assigned to. You do not need to boot your phone into a certain DPI. Neither will most of the changes you apply require a reboot. You will not suffer from the myriads of troubles which normally haunt you under build.prop tablet mode. Your market, phone, etc. will all work, apps won't shrink on you unless you shrink them yourself. This project will entirely transform your device, but retain the aesthetics and the feel of your phone.

If you have an issue and you want to call our attention, here's what you do:
Try everything you can, find solutions for yourself. Wipe caches, revert all your settings you have made, go back to your stock Kernel, factory reset if you have to or reflash the rom. Assume that the issue is on your side and try your best to isolate it.
Search this thread and Cyanogenmods aswell (its our base) for possible reoccurences of your issue and hopefully solutions that may have come up.
If you think the issue is important enough that we should cease our work and look into it, post your issue, BUT ...
... stay friendly, do not demand anything, do not threaten
... explain your issue as precise as you can, name the exact apps and conditions that cause trouble, help us to replicate the issue right away. If we can't there's no way we can fix it and your post will simply clutter the thread
... collect evidence, keep in mind this is a developer thread so even if you are not one, do us the favor and research how to record logcat. logcat is the single most important help you can give us to resolve your issue.

Thanx, so far everything works fine, there's just a couple of things:
1) I had to manually copy the wifi modules to /system/lib on LuPuS kernel in order for WiFi to work.
2) SuperSU can't update the SU binary, I also tried to reinstall SuperSU via CWM and it said that there was no SU binary, so maybe there are some problems with that.
Everything else is great, will report later regarding battery performance and the like.

The WiFi modules are a non-issue and only happen on kernels other than the included one, so there's no need to include them in the ROM.
I'm gonna try some stuff regarding the SuperSU issue and report back.

The SuperSU issue on my phone was from a bad install, I reinstalled everything, flashed SuperSU via CWM and everything works just fine.

This ROM is dedicated to Scott (scrosler-scottsroms.com) for all his help and support.
PLEASE READ AT LEAST THE "THIS ROM?" BELOW
What is ProjectOdex?
- ProjectOdex has has a few different series currently. There is a Stock
Rooted ROM that includes all of the new deodexed extras (ported over), and a
RallyStock (RS) ROM that is a stripped down/bare bones ROM that has all of the
deodexed extras (ported over) included or as a separate flashable zip.
- ProjectOdex is a project that is dedicated to making odexed ROMs with all the
extras that deodexed ROMs have and with all the speed that odex has to offer.
- ...and GREAT BATTERY LIFE

This ROM?
- This ROM is a stripped-down barebones ROM. It only includes the
absolute essentials and was made to LACK many things. I could simply build a
ROM that is stripped-down with all of the things that I want still included, but
everyone is different.
- LIST OF REMOVED ITEMS HERE (Currently 761 Files and 71 Directories)
- Stericson's NEW and UNRELEASED BusyBox 1.21.1 comes pre-installed and
is properly configured for init.d and is located in both /system/xbin and
/system/bin.
- This ROM (VRUAMDK) includes a COMPLETLEY Unsecure (or Insecure) Kernel (or boot.img).
- This ROM (VRUAMDK) has a loki'd boot. You can find it in the ROM (if you UnZip it). It is called
"boot.lok" and is 7.9MB
- This ROM (VRUAMDK) also has REAL WORKING init.d support. You can literally drag and
drop your scripts into the folder, and it will work right out of the box.
- This ROM also has Infinite Scrolling enabled in the TW Launcher. So you can scroll
through all the HomeScreens Infinitely.
- The ROM, by default has a script in the init.d script in it that underclocks the
CPU to 1674MHz. It is just as snappy with this script. Odex makes everything
run so much smoother and I personally think the CPU is overkill for most things.
- If you dont want the CPU underclocked, just go into your init.d folder with a
file explorer that has root privelages ( "/etc/init.d" ), and delete it.
- The stock restore file (firmware) for this device (SCH-I545) is currently around
2.5GB. I always use my own sources when building ROMs. Meaning that I return
the device to stock, then root it, and then pull/create my own images
(.img's/ext4's) from them. Then I use them as my basis for the ROMs I build.
- The size of this firmware is ALOT compared to the Note2 and the S3. As I was
able to get those ROMs down pretty small, this one was a great task and the
hardest one o have had to work with. I literally removed around 2GB of extra
stuff that was on this device.
- This ROM isn't for everyone. If you enjoy all of the extra bloat and options on
your device, than this ROM isn't for you. UNLESS, you know how to add and
remove apps without downloading them from Google Play.
- I am happy to take requests for flashable zips (to restore things that have
been removed) and to help in anyway possible in aiding you to make this ROM
exactly how you want it.
- This ROM contains init.d scripts. It is always a good idea to remove any and
all init.d scripts when changing to and from ANY ROM (not just ProjectOdex).
Init.d scripts can cause issues when changing to and from ROMs. So just
make sure to wipe out all of your init.d scripts before you flash over this ROM
(or flash this ROM from any other ROM with init.d scripts).
- This ROM is bare, and the idea is for you to have a solid (but small)
foundation to build from. It was made so you can start from scratch and add
only what you want.

Does this ROM still have the notification toggles and TW camera? If so, that's all I need and this sounds like my kinda ROM! Just the fact that you were able to get this down so small is awesome! If you could make a flashable zip that included the AOSP dialer with this (and notification toggles and TW camera, if those are removed as well), I'd be in heaven.
So like a super naked TW?

This ROM does have those both, except for the camera. The camera is fully-functional, except for that the only working modes are "Automatic". The other modes are still shown in the camera, but will FC if used.

Perfect! Is there anyway to add in the other modes? This ROM sounds awesome and I will be flashing it as soon as it's up.

There will be. If you know how to add the apks yourself, you can add them as they are actually separate apps.

That's what I thought. If you'd like, I can make a flashable zip of all the different modes for those that want them. Save you a bit of time and effort. :good:
Also, I'm downloading the beta right now and will let everyone know how it is. Pumped to try out this ROM.

That would be great! Any and all help is welcome and would help me out a lot. I wanted to release this ROM last week, but I still I'm the process of moving and I don't know when I will be done, so I made some time to get it going.
This is an opensource project as well, so feel free to customize and tweak what you would like (and share it too)

No link yet. The beta builds don't have links. You can find them at AFH under my name.

will add to roms list
Thanks, found it.
Don't want to cross the line but if you plan on releasing the stable build today, I'd probably wait on the beta.
If it's going to be a couple of days, I'm going to try this when I finish my meetings later.
Any clue?
thanks in advance

did you get a chance to flash this yet?
I have one more meeting and then I was going to try the beta or perhaps wait for the stable if it's coming soon.

Sorry, I re-read my last reply to you, and didn't mean to come off like that. I just meant that o didn't post the links because I wanted to stay withing the Thread/Posting Guidelines. And since my source wants up yet, I didn't want to post any links.

Yep, it's running great! Seems very stable! I put together a few flashables.
Zip to add all camera modes: Click Here.
Zip to remove ongoing wifi notification: Click Here.
Zip to add 4 way reboot menu: Click Here.
Zip to add AOSP ringtones and notification sounds: Click Here.
(I didn't make all of these flashables, I just had them on my PC from flashing other ROM's and tried them with this one and they worked fine, but I can't remember who made them so sorry for not giving credit!). All of these have been tested and work fine with this ROM.
OP, you can add these to the OP so whoever else is interested can find them easier.
I also flashed KToonz's latest kernel to go along with this ROM and so far this ROM is running super smooth and cool. TouchWiz is instantly so much nicer without all the Samsung crap.
All the motion and sensor related features are removed, right?

Nope, they still work just fine. Just tested them to make sure and they're all working fine.
