Ok, I have had troubles with my sd card ever since I went s-off. My phone will not recognise the sd. I tried the adb shell fix to no avail, so I went from clean Rom to rez Rom 2.5. I forgot to flash the old firmware patch since I'm still on gb firmware, and had random reboot problems, but it recognised my sd. When I did a complete wipe then reinstall with the old firmware patch my sd card is unrecognizable once again. I don't want to ruu to the leaked firmware, but will if I absolutely have to. Any ideas? O btw when trying the adb shell fix I got "warning: fdisk something something..." Thanks.
I had to mount mine to my computer through clockwork recovery then reformatted using windows.
Tried. No dice..
What hboot are you on?

juopuntbear. i did the s-off n it flased his. but listen i updated to 3.11, it recognised my sd, then i unlocked the bootloader again and now its gone.. im so frustrated
2.21.0000 I updated firmware, and it seen my sd, but when I unlocked my bootloader again it disappeared.. Im so frustrated
Just flashed Jbears 2.11 No dice. the 2.21 was his as well btw
If your s off your boot loader don't have to be unlocked anymore. I would also just give in and flash the ics firmware.
I am s-off, and on 3.11 ics firmware. And if I am s-off I can leave the bootloader locked? Cause updating the firmware fixed the issue, but unlocking buggered it back again.
EDIT: After hours and hours.. I reflashed Jbears 2.21, and vuala. I have sd! Yay ty guys for putting up with this semi-noob.
Then you boot loader don't need to be unlocked anymore
Curious if you can do a backup and restore?I had SD card issues too. I'm stuck with not being able to restore.
Anyone?
Ya my recovery still was able to read it, but the system couldn't mount it. Turned out to be a bad hboot flash.

the issue I have is that I unlocked the bootloader through HTCdev I flashed AMOnRA recovery worked fine, then I did the s-off with the wire trick and that worked fine, I installed the Jb_hboot for ICS and then I did RUU of the 3.14.605.5 then I wiped and flashed Business_ICS4.0.3_Sense3.6-v4.0 but I get reboots if I go into the dialer and try to dial a number, and I can see my external sd card, but if I flash the GB patch i dont have anymore reboots, but I lose the ability to see and use the sd card when the phone is on. what the heck i`m im doing wrong i have wiped many times and reinstalled many times and no joy, I have used a different rom and it does the same thing.
Have you tried unmounting and formatting the sd card?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
yeah I have tried that, the thing is that without the GB patch flash I see the SDcard ok but I get reboots but with the GB patch flashed I get no more reboots but no sdcard, but I shouldn`t have to flash the GB patch since I have ICS firmaware, driving me crazy I even tried the sdcard fix no workie
When you did the ruu, did you boot into boot loader a second time to let it finish updating? If not, you probably don't have the new radios.

What he said RUU needs to flash twice so you currently have a hybrid firmware. A second flash will install everything.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using XDA
i see I will give that a try
no joy I ended up flash the RUU_Vigor_VERIZON_WWE_2.01.605.11_Radio_RS_0.95.00.1123r_3161E_9K_QMR_release_233635_sign
any went backwards, funny thing is I thought it would relock the bootloader and turn s-on but it left it unlocked and s-off so I will have to reflash the ICS stuff and see what happen
When you flash the ics "ruu" through hboot, it will appear to finish, but it really doesn't. Make sure to re-enter hboot and volume up to update one more time. This finishes the second part of the update, which includes the radios. Let us know if it works out for you.
yeah I tired several times of rebooting the bootloader and flashing the ICS Ruu as PH98img and nothing so I reverted back the stock exe. file like I did before and I flash the business ICS rom and flashed the GB patch and everything is working fine but I can`t figure out why it won`t flash correctly with the ICS RUU all I know it doesn`t reboot on me and I can use my SDcard
Recently bought a mint Rezound that has h-boot 2.10 & CleanRom 4.5 DE.
I want to make it a clone of the setup in my sig, can I just s-off the thing then flash the kernel/ROM setup I'm running now??
yeah s-off... and go nuts!! you can flash anything at that point.
Alright, I'm trying to figure out what Is going wrong here.
If I hook my existing phone to my PC everything works fine.
If I hook the new resound to the PC nothing happens (phone and card is not recognized) and I've tried threee different cables, two batteries etc,
The new phone opens into cleanrom 4.5 DE but immediatelly crashes and restarts before I have a chance to do anything at all.
Anybody?
Can you get to recovery? Amon Ra will allow you to mount the SD card. Put an RUU on it and see if that will recover the phone.

I'm trying to revert as well and I have a question.
I reverted to the stock GB ROM from my clean ICS rom using my nandroid back up.
Obviously I lose the ability to access my sd card.
I have S-off.
1. will installing this over write my backup ed GB ROM?
2. after installing it, will I see the sd card again?
3. I'm trying to send the rezound back to verizon because it is over heating (45Celcius during angry birds XD), having this ruu installed is like having a pure stock phone and I shouldnt worry about verizon saying it was rooted?
4. Do I rename and drop this in the root folder of the internal sd card and then boot to hboot?
thanks!

Installing this puts it back to stock. Over writes everything. You rename it to PH98IMG.ZIP then put it on your ext sd card not in a folder. You'll have to run it twice. Then if you want it totally stock you can turn the secure flag back on by doing what this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t= says

sorry I mean its in root and not in a folder and after renaming that file to ph89img.zip is still wasnt recognized.
I flashed the boot file and rom from scotts roms for the rooted stock.
Does flashing those bring me back to stock radio?
Also, my sd card seems to not be accessible in GB.
Is there a way to fix this?

Search and try installing HTC drivers for the Rezound, usually can install HTC Sync and delete if you don't need the Sync feature, drivers stay behind. Attempt on a clean computer with no other phone drivers too to start, or Uninstalling Device Drivers in Hardware Manager on current PC when Rezound is connected. Then install HTC Sync and reconnect phone.
For booting into the ROM, may be a network bootloop, there is a sticky about it. Try with the backplate off, or even SIM removed if signal is still strong. Try and rule that issue out first.

It is 98, not 89. Case sensitivity may or may not matter, do PH98IMG.zip should solve that part.
Edit: yes, flash the RUU twice and it should reset everything, including radios. Do a factory reset in the boot menu too after all files are off phone, and sure the ROM worked (radios and data, and WiFi are working without error.)
Reset phone to stock for return
Can I use this to reformat the phone from GB s-off / custom (ENG) hboot /
custom recovery / custom rom to stock everything to return for
warranty replacement?
If I followed it correctly, I flash it the RUU twice then hboot factory reset,
then fastboot reset the s-off flag?

I guess then, on the new phone, I have to HTCdev unlock it,
redo the s-off procedure, fastboot flash Amon Ra 3.15 again and
restore my backup to the replacement phone? Then restore
the internal sdcard backup.

yes you can use this. Just s-off, relock your phone, and flash the GB RUU. then run the command in scotty's post to get back to s-on. then on your new phone, i wouldnt even unlock. just straight to s-off. its better then HTC "dev" unlock.

That's what I thought too.
S-off process requires unlocked
state to do its thing.
I had totally wiped the rezound and updated to the Leaked ICS 3.14.605.5 RUU from a locked state to get the new firmware and everything first. That was successful. unlocked phone and re installed amon ra recovery and re rooted after that.
i used controlbear to get s-off on my rezound. bootloader shows s-off, however when i try to reboot the phone it just shows me the juopunutbear screen.
i believe if i flash the backed up boot.img i can get it working, however i don't know the path for using the fastboot flash boot "path" boot.img command.
can anyone help or point me in the right direction? i have been looking over the forum for hours and searching to no avail.
can't use USB toggle for sd card in recovery either, it doesn't allow me to see my ex sd on my computer.so i can't manually add a file, but maybe i can fastboot flash to the card? i need some help!
**EDIT** wow... i tried fastboot flash boot boot.img and it worked, no path, lmao i'll see what happens now

the problem was that it messed up the sdcard so i couldn't put a rom on to flash it, or the ruu, so i had to flash the boot to get it to reboot the stock rom from the RUU i had on it. the phone is working now i just can't get the external sd card fixed and busybox won't install. says it can't find root or su.... trying to flash a rooted rom from a different sd so i can run busybox and fix my sd card. lol if only i had an adapter for sd card with me i could just format it in windows (its empty anyway) grrr

I just did that today myself, but before I went through with the wire trick, I read the instructions.
It says to use the stock rom, maybe that is why you had that problem and I did not, but I am glad you got it going again.

I managed to soft brick my phone or i believe so. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed cwm to the phone, rooted then read that it fails alot with the rezound so i prepped my phone to unroot and remove cwm and install Amon Ra and nodded off to sleep while in the recovery menu... This is where it gets weird... I woke up to my phone like this. I uploaded a picture of the bootloader screen... Its relocked and will not allow me to do jack... Im not the best at development and relatively inexperienced... I desperately need help. Please.

Have you tried to download a complete RUU in PH98IMG.zip form and see if it will install from the bootloader?

Have it named PH98IMG.zip(watch your filenames, be careful not to name it PH98IMG.zip.zip). But first try reunlocking again and see if you get boot. If you at least get boot animation that tells me you have a working boot partition. If not then you would need to reflash a boot.img. If you are adamant about gaining root, you could have just flashed a custom rom after flashing Amon RA + a data wipe along with proper boot.img in fastboot.

Simple steps I used when I was in an HTC boot loop.
1. Relocked and installed the stock ruu.
2. Unlocked and flashed the recovery partition using fast boot flash recovery recovery.img (name of your recovery image you want to use.)
3. Used recovery to install su.
4. Profit.
You can also use fast boot to install asop boot images. But for now if you want root use steps 1-4. It worked for me when I borked the heck out of entire phone. ( I had no recovery even after fastboot flashing the recovery partition.)

Tried flashing via fastboot ..... no good. So I did an RUU by putting a PH98IMG.zip on the external flash. This worked, gave me a stock phone.
Now, when I go into HBOOT to try to load AmonRa3.15, I'm LOCKED, but S-OFF (this should be sufficient, correct?). I flash AmonRa3.15 via flashboot, but when I try to go into recovery, I see the symbol indicating I'm in stock recovery. So my AmonRa flash never "took".
Any suggestions?
