Help! Ace stuck with Beats with sense!!! - Galaxy Ace S5830 General

Hello everyone. I had previously installed 'Beats with Smooth sense' on my Ace, which worked like a charm, when I flashed 'XperiaTized v9.1' it still goes back to 'Beats with Smooth sense'
I wiped everything and installed from SD card and rebooted and it goes back again to the beats with smooth sense.. please help, I really want to try out 'XperiaTized'

Flash a stock ROM first using ODIN, then flash the ROM of your choice.

Backup your app. then go to CWM and and wipe System, Data, Cache, DalCache. If you have a option to erase boot don't do it- hard brick. Then flash the ROM you choose.

thanks, I had previously read somewhere about flashing stock ROM before going for a second ROM.. will try that and tell you

I don't have option to erase boot and the idea of bricking my phone scares the **** out of me :O

Hey thanks everyone, I did reflash to stock and try out XperiaTized, all I actually want is an Ace with a 10 hour battery backup xP I guess I'll underclock my phone in stock since I've reflashed to stock again :3

I have been through bootloops at least 5-6 times. This has never worked for me. Always had to factory reset to make it work.
To maker of this thread:
Try having Nandroid backup once in a while. And don't worry, this seems to be your first time as you're freaking out too much. Bootloops aren't hard brick. Resetting to factory defaults or restoring Nandroid backups or flashing totally another custom ROM should work.

If that is the case, what you said could be followed
And yes I also followed SuperAce609 method for freeing memory and damn it works

How did I keep everything after flashing?

So I soft bricked my phone using LCD Density Modder, luckily I was rooted with recovery. I downloaded a stock ROM and installed it through Odin. I thought I was going to loose everything and have to start fresh but after the install when my phone rebooted it was like nothing ever happend, it was the same phone as right before I bricked it. How can this be? I thought flashing the ROM would bring me back to stock. Is this the case when installed any ROM on the SIII or did I get lucky??
I used to have a Droid 2 and when ever I installed ROMs on it I would always have to start fresh.
Thanks!

Odin doesn't wipe data, it just flashes the stock boot, recovery and system image.

Oh, ok. Is there any way to tell if they are non-wipe, should it say in the description somewhere? Is it normally stock ROMs that are non-wipe?

[Q] Need Help

guys i have a funny issue wonder if i can get some help. I flashed FlappJaxx Beta 3 and had a bad down load or something so anyway tons of reboots and nothing just the non stop vibrate.. well i i finally got it back to the down load screen after pulling the battery several times. and got it Odin back to unrooted and turn on followed the unroot instruction well i left it stock and have had same issue where i click something and it flashes and just vibrates over and over until i pull battery.. well is this phone dead is there a fix?
I odin back again and same thing im going to odin back to stock again then do a stock root and flash another room but its doing the stupid reboot over and over vibrate thing even with the non-rooted stock rom. i just can't seem to find any direction on how to fix this or is it just a lost cause. wanted it to hold on till Note 2 hit shelves but looks like a s3 in my futures.
OK didnt work still FC and boot looping this time i installed Kies and put in download mode and updated the firmware and im getting same thing. GOSH DOGGIT hahaha.. Yea i need some advise i tried everything ive read i must be missing something somewhere.
i guess no one has ever had this before? still no solution i have tried everything format the internal disc but want to know if i do that will i be able to flash odin back to stock any help there?

First of all, I'm no pro at this stuff but I feel your pain.
It sounds like you are getting stuck in a boot loop of sorts.
What I would do if I was you, after flashing a rom, go back into Recovery mode on the phone and clear out the cache partion, wipe Dalvik cache, and then wipe data/factory reset. After that, reboot your phone - it should start up normally. This is what I do to my phone to get it to function as it should.
Hope that helps
i went in to the advance tab and formatted everything hahah.. it juts wiped and odin back to stock again bout to wipe it and try to odin root see if i can get it done. worth a try ive tried to much stuff im bout to take phone out get my 338 tape to a zombie target and have some fun!

Agreed ...
When returning to stock via Odin ...you must reboot into your recovery and wipe data and factory reset the device prior to rebooting.
Even though you wiped prior to flashing the stock Odin .tar image.
These devices stay dirty even after wiping data on occasion ...g

oh really? wow i didnt even think about that im wiping again and flashing odin to stock but this time after it boots i will wipe factory reset. then root factory reset and fix permissions. thank for the help!
Always welcome ....
Fixing permissions is overlooked a lot ...
And the wrong permissions will cause FC's all over the build ..
I always fix permissions after any flash or modification ....it's just a good habit to get into ...IMHO ...g

Oh No...

My 2nd topic in about 20 mins!
I've just flashed Siyah Kernal but made a mistake and flashed an older version accidently (I flashed 1.3 instead of 1.7)
Now my phone doesn't boot, it gets to the loading screen where it displays model etc and then stops. I can boot into recovery, I was thinking I can just flash the other kernal but I don't have it on my storage.
I wiped cache then davlik cache and then installed the old version and rebooted and now I'm stuck
I'm thinking just wipe data and reflash ROM but I've never messed around with kernals before so I don't know if it's any different
Help is GREATLY appreciated!
If you have an external SD, transfer the updated 1.7rc1 syiah to that, and flash it from recovery.
Should solve the problem.
If it doesnt, wiping and reflashing the rom, then the corect kernel should work as well.

I would start with that.. if any problems occur, then go to wiping.
I would wipe delvic and cache
Update Syiah myself a few times without a wipe. Although I am sure some would recommend a wipe.
I've just put my external SD into its adapter so that my laptop can read it and I get write protection errors.
Can I just wipe data/factory reset and reflash the ROM to gain access to my phone again and then flash the kernal?

first off is the switch on ur adapter set to lock?
Yes if you factory reset and wipe, then install rom, then you can flash the kernel and enjoy all the benefits!:victory:
aaaaand I'm back!
I noticed the little slidy thing on the adaptger and put it the other way and it worked, having that "lock" is pretty ridiculous if you ask me.
I'm all sorted now, I would be useless if it wasn't for the people on this forum
Thank you all so much for the help, whenever stuff like this happens I overact and instantly assume my device is bricked
Thanks to you all!

[Q] Stuck in CWM! Samsung Galaxy GT-i9100

I tried factory resetting and other things but it still goes to CWM after rebooting.
Please help me cause i dont know what to do anymore and i would really appreciate it if someone could help me.
Have you tried factory reset in recovery. How did you flash the rom. What wipes did you do before install?

Yes i tried factory reset in recovery. i wanted android 4.4 kitkat on my phone and i googled and searched how to do it.
So i followed these steps from this website:galaxys2root.com (srry but i can't place any links cause im new)
First i needed to root my phone so i did that following these steps: galaxys2root.com and when it was done i got CWM Recovery v6.0.2.7 and it was good so far but i also wanted to clear my usb storage and after all that i formatted my usb storage. So now i was ready to put android 4.4 on my phone but they recommended to have a higher version of the CWM recovery by installing cm11: galaxys2root.com
I tried to install CM11 on my phone in recovery mode and it said: 'installation aborted' so i thought, ok maybe it just doesn't work and i rebooted and i was in CWM again. I rebooted a couple of times but it was stuck in CWM. I tried factory reset after i was stuck in CWM but it didn't help.
just flash phill or siyah kernel with odin and then flash pound rom or other 4.4 rom you prpbably have ome with bad recovery
Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
So did you try and install on that recovery or did you update before the flash? You need to update to latest cwm recovery before you flash cm11 unofficial.

No you should install cwm latest first. As for it won't boot any more... try pulling the battery out and then hold download combo keys down and put the battery bk in. May boot you're phone and defo worth a try.
sorry for late response but yeah i forgot that in these 4.4 roms that was disabled if i have time i wil check or i can change it that it wil work on every recovery

Don't know but i've had this problem before when my phone worked fine.
After half a day i tried to charge it and when i put the micro-usb in it i saw the battery logo for 1 sec and it disappeared.
after a day i tried to charge it again and it worked.
so i tried to charge it an hour ago and i saw the battery logo for a sec so it will maybe boot again.
I think something is wrong with my battery i also wanted to replace the battery cause it runs out fast.
Oh and what do i do after it boots? Go in download mode and flash something with odin?

Could well be a bad battery. Best bet is take it to a shop and test a battery but saying that if it runs out of charge quickly then battery will be on its way out. Yes flash stock with Odin then reroot ect ect. When you test the battery don't buy it right away just incase you end up wasting money on a dead phone. Check and make sure it works first then buy it.

haha that was exactly what i was planning on to do. btw there are a lot of different stock kernels which one do i need to flash?
For stock kernel with root and cwm you can't really beat Philz. Get the zip and put it on ext SD and flash it as the update in stock recovery 3e.

You can use Odin to flash this. You can get either zip or tar file of this kernel.
I am new on i9100 but I think that phillz and siyah kernel is designed for 4.1 not 4.4 android.
My best advice is to flash a stock rom and after you have the certitude that all are ok you can make an efs backup and then follow an XDA instructions to flash a 4.4 ROM. Read all posts from the thread of the rom that you what to install.
My think is that you need a full battery to flash. A new battery is not relevant in your case because the new battery can be empty and it will not charge during the kernel problem.
