Bluetooth music question - HTC Rezound

I have paired with my wife's Camry and can successfully stream music through the stock radio. However, the bass is WAY to high. I have cut the bass down on the radio's eq and its still way more than usual. The headphone icon pops up on the notification bar when connected. Does my phone think her car is a Bluetooth headset? If so, is there a way to change it to a "car speaker" setting on my phone? I'm running Clean Rom 4.5.

If you're running PowerAmp music player, you can shut off Beats EQ by selecting EQ, Volume/Balance, and deselecting Beats.
Otherwise it sounds to me as if you may have the Beats EQ mod applied to all sources, ie: Pandora, Stock, etc. Do you recall flashing that?

I haven't flashed the beats zip and I haven't tried poweramp.

Playing music through bluetooth?

I've read a few threads where People are playing their music and sounds thru Bluetooth. I've tired changing the output in the stock music app, but it doesn't stick, the sound still comes out of the phone speakers. I don't see anything Under settings. Am i missing something?

Are you already paired with the BT device?
What ROM are you running, there is a known bug in the currant ICS releases.
Matt
I'm paired, calls work fine. I'm running GB, clean rom 1.6.5 sp1. I haven't tried an ICS ROM yet.

I remember having selected output at some point when I was getting it going. Now it selects it on its own. So when I connect in the car and it's paired it automatically plays the music through the car stereo, when it's not paire it plays through the phone speakers. Of course, I do have to select BT for my music input in the car. Could it be as simple as having overlooked that option on the paired device?
Pairing for phone and pairing for audio are two separate things. Make sure you are paired for audio.

Yeah... that's it. I had to also connect the phone as a portable music player for the car in addition to pairing it.
I'm using btmono by bedoig from the marketplace. I use the free version and it works great on infellibis 1.1.

What are you trying to push music too? Whatever it is, it must support A2DP.
I have a Sony BT head in my truck and stream Pandora from my phone to it. I also have a set of BT stereo over the ear headphones. Both devices boost the Rez's music stream...fantastic audio quality.
Check out "btmono" on the market....it might work for you.

Beats audio not working???

So after reading some posts I see that there is supposed to be a red B in the task bar when playing music to signify beats audio is working... Well I have never seen this no matter what song I play or what music player I use. Any suggestions on why it's not working???

Only when the Audio Jack is in play. (I.e. earbuds, car, Bluetooth headphones)

It only shows when you have an audio output device connected, like headphones or Bluetooth devices.

I have a different device but I figure it may apply to beats in general. Mine just plain doesn't work. It's installed, I tried a redownload and reflash and it doesn't work at all. There's no icon, and when I change settings the sound doesn't do so.

Beats audio

Does anyone know where or if we can get beats audio for the photon? I know there used to be one to download but they took that one off..

I didn't notice a difference either till I was in my sisters car and she commented on how much nicer my phone sounded that hers through aux. I didn't notice a difference in my car because I have subs and in car speaker performance isn't noticeable when you have subs blaring lol. We played a song in her car with my phone (same Google music app, equalizer turned off on both phones) then same song with her phone and mine was much cleaner and the bass hit a bit harder through her standard car speakers. It definitely made a difference. Eventually I put the same beats files on her phone and she loves it. She said before she couldn't turn it up too loud because it distorted her speakers. I believe it has more of an effect the louder you go and the quality of the speaker

But we have almost the same thing in settings - sound - media audio effects.
Or is it still better comparing with these? Or with equaliser in power amp for example?
I never tried it and don't believe it much.
Beats is overrated and just a name. Musicfx, dspmanager, and any other application equalizer does the exact same thing.

I agree, I finely got it to work with no fc and it is just the same on photon cm9 0.7.0 and I got really good head phones that I tried it on..

It is basically an background equalizer. And is nice for people who don't like messing with an equalizer or if my sister, who doesn't understand how an equalizer works. Its a good alternative and really only makes a difference at clearing the sound at high volumes. That's really its only benefit for an average user. Some market equalizers don't do this.
I also found a site once that deeply explain how the beats "driver" worked or compared and it was interesting. Not mind changing but it didn't explain how it is pretty much an equalizer but with a few built-in features only for beats. I'll look it up and post it.

I have the beats installed from the Rocco ROM i use. I also use win amp pro that has an eq so the sound quality is great.. I am sure with just the eq from the win amp it would sound great just the same.

is it any good
is this Beats really makes any difference, or it's just like any equalizer?

Its a hands free equalizer for people who don't know how to work an equalizer.

I have been saying this for years now and no one listens. I use free "Equalizer" app from the Market, everyone loves it. And I have my $9.99 SkullCandy headphones and they are great!
Does anyone that flashed the beats audio know if the beats headphones with inline control work once flashed because i was looking at a set and didn't buy them because when i tried them the controls didnt work but when i plugged them into a phone with beats they worked.

Beats Audio with Spotify Issue - Liquid ICS *MR2V7*

Is anyone else having an issue where Beats Audio has NO effect on Spotify on the Liquid ICS Rom? Is there a possible fix on it other than installing another EQ.
Maybe try reflashing

It doesn't work with slacker either. No big deal. It'll get fixed eventually.
Sent from my Thunderbolt using Tapatalk 2
I've reflashed it a few times.
Anyway, for some odd reason when I installed an equalizer app, the beats audio started working with Spotify... seems a bit weird there :/

The equalizer app may have added a lib that spotify needs. What eq did you install?

It's called Music Volume EQ:

Did you uninstall this eq and it still worked? I think this eq took over where beats wasn't working and you're just thinking that beats is working.

I've had the sound cut out all together in Spotify. A reboot fixed. I've had a few other things wack out like chrome always freezing. I'm going to wipe and reflash. I'll let you know if that helped

awesome beats won't work with pandora either.
I was under the impression that beats only worked with the stock music player, but then that might be a stock limitation and not really matter when it comes to custom roms <.<

Awesome beats is just what they decided to call the dsp manager for cm9/cm10. It should integrate with and music app like it did on cm7.

Nope. I actually started enabling and disabling beats features while the song was playing, such as increasing bass etc and it was functioning. I didn't uninstall the the EQ, but I did close it by holding the power button down for an extended period of time.
I'll try your method again. I've tried several others but none of them work. So far volume + has worked the best.

Bluetooth audio settings

Currently using rooted s3 with aokp jb with siyah 1.8.with stweaks, and playing with the audio settings whilst playing music streaming over Bluetooth to my Bose soundlink, I cannot notice any difference?
I've since found out Bluetooth bypasses the dac, so doesn't effect it, how do I manage them to have an effect over Bluetooth?
Cheers in advance.

Are you streaming bluetooth audio through a headset or to a pc ? If there is a option .. does changes you apply from the recipent bluetooth device affect the audio ? O:
It's streaming to a Bose Soundlink speaker. It's got no options to set sound on it.
It needs to be done on device streaming the music... bah.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Did you try connecting directly through a cable or something ?
Maybe the application only applies effect on the device and it doesn't change the orginal defaults of the music .
Yeah, it's because Bluetooth streamed music bypasses any dac within the kernel unlike headphones or speaker on phone.
I was hoping there may be an app which can intercept the Bluetooth transmission and amend with audio presets.
