Hi,
What settings are you using to get the optimal results? Coz if i select high bit rate and other stuff, the video is not playable and the lgcamera itself gets stuck ( the current display of camera gets stuck all the others button respond including the recording stop)

I tried to record some real time data on some equipment's panel screen today (at work place) using the sgs2 stock camera app video recording..
Many had told me the video recording suppose to have auto focus but the wordings are very blur and I can't identify each words at all during recording and also when playback.
At the end I have to borrow my colleague's iPhone 4 to get the job done, it focus immediately on the screen wordings and appeared clearly..
Normally I never use video recording but now I'm bugged by it lol
Am I doing anything wrong here? I'm using Checkrom 3.1.1 though I doubt they have tweaked anything on the camera app, it looks the same as the stock one.
I flashed MiniCm7 2.2.0 recently and there is something weird going on with camera app. When I start recording a video it goes on fine for a while then randomly the recording freezes for a second and will resume the recording. During the play back.. right after the part where recording freezes the entire audio will be out of the sync. Tried lgCamera same problem.. unless I reduce the bitrate to 100k
The second is with auto brightness. If I start capturing video at a well lit area.. it adjusts the brightness correctly.. but it sticks to that level. If I come to a poor lit area, it does not adjust itself. I have to stop the video recording and should start again fresh in order for camera to adjust.
Third.. Flash. During video recording, if I set the flash to ON. It stays on, even though when I am not recording and when I start the video recording, the flash gets turned off.
The problem was almost identical with 2.1.9. And now.. the same with 2.2.0. I tried camera.apk in cm7pro v21. Still the same result.
I am suing nAa's 2.6.29.6-nAa-11 kernel.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
What I mean is ... let's say I am using Skype for a video call. At the moment of connecting to the camera, what is the way it does this? What code is used? What part of the camera is accessed? When I open the camera app of the device, and trigger between photo/video - I get 2 absolutely different images of the preview ( the viewfinder ). The photo preview is on a low fps, if there is enough light, if I reduce the brighness, the preview fps gets smoother.
But when I swicth to video , I get a very clear image, with a high fps, little noisy and clear. Though, the preview of the photo camera is blury ( noise reducted ) and low on frame rate.
So, the calls in Skype has the exactly same image type like the photo preview, blury and fps low.
Is there any way to drive Skype using the camera type of the video viewfinder? It is a very huge difference in quality, and it is very weird, video calling apps use the worst part of the camera, when there's actually obvious the sensor is a high end one, showing it actually can offer a good quality of the image ( while in video mode ).
Please help, I want to try to develope something related to this. How does an app choose how to use phone's camera?
Hi! I have a problem with the slow motion videos of my Huawei Mate 10. When I recorded a video in slow motion in my Mate 10 in HD quality resolution (1080p) it happens that when I SAVE my final slow motion video after editing with the bar (three dots --> saving slow motion video -with the selected "slow motion" part), it saves with a resolution of 1072p! Why is that? Anyone has the same problem? Thank you.
TL;DR: Saving a HD slow motion video changes the resolution to 1072p.

Hi. Update: my mother has the SAME phone and it also happens with the one she has. It seems like it's a Huawei problem, not a problem of my specific device. Have you tried to do what I said? Please anyone try it and tell me if it happens to you as well. I bought my device in Colombia.
Hey guys, my vids stutter when I export from phone regardless of what Player I use. WhatsApp vids are also sent in a very laggy and stuttering manner
It's the fps that the camera app records in. It's a not so common frame rate just under 30/60 fps. Try playing with the camera setting. Change fps and remove things like high efficiency mode
