Hi ... could any one help me how to stop the vibration when receiving calls on galaxy nexus ...

Sound Settings or Call Settings I guess...

Settings --> Sound --> Uncheck vibrate and ring

Thanks for the answers but it didn't work ...

try to reset your device --> format it
maybe there is something wrong with it

Thank you for the answering but i did that also the vibration not stooping .. I tried every thing

are you using custom ROM ?
maybe you activated something with the built in apps in the ROM
and that's what make it vibrate
btw what would you disable it???

i just don't the phone to vibrate when i answer any calls

Try updating to 4.0.4
It may work with you

I think he means that he wants to disable the single acknowledgement vibration that comes when you press answer on an incoming call. No idea though. In ROMs based on AOKP there is an option in ROM Control to disable this.

[Q] Why no dialer key sounds?

Hello all,
I searched on the forum and the closest anyone had to my problem was having no phone audio at all.
The issue I am having is my key presses in the dialer make no noise when placing the call and no noise while on the call.
Example is I call at&t and I press 1 for this or 0 for that and the keys make no noise so Im not sure if the autophone system is registering my choices.
I am on stock rooted rom and shouldn't have any apps that effect the dialer.
I have checked in the settings and the options are checked for it to make sounds and vibrate on keypress.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
Make sure your system volume is up and that "Audible touch tones" is checked.
This is my fourth android phone btw. I've checked all the obvious stuff for why I wouldn't be hearing it. All the other keys in every other app work as they should.
Well the only reasons you wouldn't be hearing the keytones on a stock ROM is either the setting is unchecked or that the volume for system sounds is off. I am on a custom ROM and the sounds are working. So this would mean the issue is one of those, or for some reason files got corrupted. Back up your stuff, and try restoring your phone to factory settings.
So I switched my keyboard from the stock samsung to the stock android and now it works without having changed anything else. This is weird.
I have always found it annoying that I am not able to hear tones dialed while in a call on the GS2.
On my Captivate this was an option, and it actually worked.
On the GS2 there is an option for audible touch tones, but it must only control tones when dialing a number, but not while in a call (ie. when using an automated system etc).

[Q] Notifications NOT VIBRATING?!

I've googled everything. Can't seem to find a viable solution.
I'm running ICS XXLPB (not rooted) and the only thing that basically vibrates while on normal mode (silent mode vibrations do work fine) are incoming calls. No type of notifications seem to vibrate.
I've checked in-app settings and sound settings and everything seems to be set correctly, but for some odd reason the phone doesn't vibrate on notifications and it's very annoying :'(
Any help appreciated, thanks in advance!

To get vibration when you receive a message, you have to set 'vibrate always' in message settings
Thank me if I helped

I'm on the S II (T989) as well running ICS 4.0.3 and I've had the same annoying problem. Interesting that you don't see the question being asked or information on it in too many places. I factory reset my phone before I found this answer. Installed SoundManager V2 and immediately the vibration mode for notifications was available and now works.
Hard to believe such a core feature problem wouldn't have been fixed in a firmware update?!
Next step is that I'm going to root it and go to Cyanogen Mod!!! Can't wait!!!
Appreciate the post!:good:

End Call / In-Call Phone Screen

Sorry if this is a really noob question - I searched and couldn't find anything.
Is it seriously possible that if you leave the in-call screen during a call the only way to get back/end a call is from the notification bar?!
(Obviously without making the power button end calls etc.. - purely from the phone app).
Is there something that I'm missing/not enabling - or is it Samsung's ingenious foresight to not enable you to return to a call by simply pressing the phone app again?!? (Which is a real pain in the ass and a crappy user experience that I still can't get accustomed to after nearly a year with this phone).
On AOKP ROM there is choice between dial pad, return to call and add new call when you press phone app icon during call.
Nothing like this on official ROM as far as I know.

Actually, on stock ROMs, there IS an option to end calls with the power button in the call settings.
Edit: ah, I went back and re-read. Sorry, I misunderstood. Yes, the only way back to the phone app during a call if you leave it on stock ROMs is via the notification bar. I personally find it pretty convenient, but everyone has their own opinions.
Thanks
I guess having an Android with a stock ROM is the antithesis of the OS. I seriously need to flash my phone - except my phone is from work. I'm just afraid that if I flash I won't be able to revert to stock if I need to.

[Q] XWLS8 stock vibrate during call?

Hi All,
I´ve flashed deodexed XWLS8 stock from here and I am experiencing vibration during call when a new message comes in.
I am not able to disable it even if I have turned off notifications during call.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
The only way to turn off the vibration completely is to select the message app then menu/settings and scroll down towards the bottom till you find "vibrate" butonce you untick it you wont have vibration at all.
I think it vibrates anyway when you have it turned on.
thanks but I don´t think that is right. The setting you are suggesting WILL turn off vibration for that app completely.
I don´t think it should be vibrating when I am speaking to someone else, its very annoying.
Thanks!
If its set to vibrate in settings it will vibrate no matter what.In the latest firmware releases Samsung have changed the system.UI so this could also change the behaviour of things compared to previous firmwares.

Vibration with notification tone!!!

Hi everyone, I'm new here but I follow forum since long ago. I do not know if it is the right place to post it (sorry, newbie)...
I'm from Brazil and will try to explain my issue... it is driving me insane!!!
I had a SGS3 with Android 4.3JB and everything used to work like a charm, the way I would it to be!
Then I decided to retire my old S3 and I bought a Moto X 2nd generation (XT1097) with LP 5.1 (now it is MM 6.0).
The hardware/software are GREAT but my problems with sounds and notifications started!
Whatsapp vibration is OFF and NOTIFICATION SOUND is ON, so if phone has sound enabled, he does not vibrate and play a bip sound (like I want).
But when I put the phone into vibrate mode, even with the VIBRATION set to OFF it vibrates!
For this not vibrate, I have to set "notification tone" to none under the settings > sound and notifications, but with that, I loose the bip sound when phone is not in vibration mode!
I little bit confuse, but searching in Google I found this: "When your device's ring volume is turned all the way down to vibrate mode, notifications that are set to play a sound will vibrate instead."
My question is: Is there a way to prevent the system to trigger this kind of vibration? I do not want the OS to "convert" sound into vibration.... any app, Xposed Module or anything else???
Sorry about my english... Thanks guys!
Same as you
can any one answer .....?I have same problem ...
nothing?
No one can help us?
...
