How to access sprint voicemail? Number is busy, nothing in visual voicemail. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was flashing a bunch of roms and in the mean time I didn't have sprint voicemail on my phone. Well some people left me a voicemail (I got a text about it), and normally it will filter this text and it will pop up in voicemail.
But I didn't have voicemail loaded, so I just thought I could go back later and get it. But my visual voicemail doesnt show anything. When I call the number, I get a busy signal.
Any ideas?

False voicemail notification on boot?

Hello folks,
Running sc2.9.1v with the eb16 kernel.
I have google voice configured for voicemail, and it's working like it should when new voicemail actually arrives...
The notification I'm talking about isn't the google voice notification, but rather it's the envelope + tape reel icon that when tapped actually dials my voicemail number (where I'm told I have no voicemail).
Is it stuck on or does it go away? If its stuck on dial into your vzw voicemail leave a message and hang up.call back in listen and delete the message then press * a few times til the call ends
right - thanks. It occurred to me as I posted this query that it may be my vzw vmail (rather than google voice). notification never clears, but that's likely because the dial action calls my google voice number, not vzw.
Now if I can just remember my vzw vmail pin...it's been a long time...
Silly me! An actual voice mail had snuck in to my vzw vmail box while I was rebuilding my phone (after a data wipe before flashing sc2.9v). I guess it defaults to carrier vmail until it's changed back to google voice.
Thanks again...

Dial *38 then your gv number to fully disable gv, then your sprint vvm should work

Conditional Call forwarding active

Hello all!
Whenever i make an outgoing call on my new ATT Note, i get a message that pops up saying "Conditional Call Forwarding Active"
I have never seen this before and i just was wondering if it was normal.
Thanks!
I've never seen that on mine. Perhaps check the call options?
I believe it has to do with using voicemail other than the ATT built in voicemail. If you use you mail, or googlevoice for your mail, this has to be activated. You dial a code in, get confirmation, then your messages go to your voicemail provider. There is a reversal code to dial in to stop the call being forwarded to a different voicemail provider.
Well. I come from an iphone 4s. I had visual vmail and when i upgraded today at the store they didn't switch my vmail over. So i called in and told them i had no voicemail and she added It for me and ever since then the message has popped up every time i make a call.
Voicemail does work though.

How to get back voicemail notification like in the old voicemail system b4 vvm?

I successfully converted Sprint EVO 3D to virgin mobile. Everything works 3G, MMS, text, phone call, EXCEPT voicemail notification. I bet it related to my grandpa $25 plan doesn't support visual voicemail. Visual voicemail cannot be setup properly, I'm still in the old voicemail system. I doesn't receive voicemail notification even I received new voicemail. Is there any way I can enable the good old time voicemail notifier which doesn't depend on the visual voicemail services/app?

[Q] No Verizon voicemail notification

Hi. I'm running CM 10.1-20130117 nightly on my Fascinate. For the most part it works great as a daily driver. The only major issue I have is I don't get voicemail notification.
It acts as if it only checks for voicemail once when it powers on.
If I have voicemail when I reboot the phone, I get the notification, and it stays on even after the message is cleared. If I reboot the phone again the notification goes away, but doesn't come back on if I receive new voicemail.
I've had this issue across multiple nightly builds. Other notifications such as email and text work correctly.
In settings, I've tried selecting and deselecting message wait indicator. Service is set to My Carrier, and voicemail number is *86. I haven't loaded any voicemail apps, and I've also cleared out all voice messages.
Can someone help me out?
This is a common issue for 4.2.2 ROMs on older Android phones. There is no known fix and I have experienced it on both a Droid Incredible and Samsung Fascinate on Page Plus (a Verizon MVNO).

Maybe you should install a voicemail app... I wouldn't go with verizon's visual voicemail since you gotta pay a monthly fee to access your messages. Go with Google Voice. It's free, easy to set up, allows access from the app/web, works with messages same as you would with emails, transcribes recordings... did i mention its free? Went with google voice a long time ago n never looked back... verizon's a joke.
I know it's an old post, but AOKP worked for me for the VM notification.
