Does anyone know a good rom kernal combo to score around 3500+ on quadrant? Preferably ICS?
Derp...what was the deciding factor for needing to post this in the dev section? The Aokp discussion thread would of been a great place for this topic.
I don't always base my ROM choice on synthetic benchmarks but when I do I choose Quadrant.
Just for giggles, I updated Quadrant and ran it. On 35.1, glitched, at 110% OC, mine did 1400.
I think that's the first one I've ran since voodoo was inflating the scores and making our phones look really fast.

Whats everyone's favorite rom for the evo 3d which has great battery and is smooth? Also, is it odexed or deodexed? Any nonworking features? ( i like my 4g and 3d )

Take this question to the ROM information thread and give us more details about your current configuration and what else you are looking for, and someone should be able to give you suggestions.
BTW, questions generally belong in the Q&A forum unless you ask them in existing informational threads.

What is best rom and kernal for performance?

THIS ONE
As per the linked thread above. There is no best ROM, it's all highly variable so best to just try them out for yourself. Benchmarks are also a special topic as you can tell so thread closed so it goes no further off topic and for becoming a best ROM thread.
Thanks

So I am curious as to what my options are in either-
A: Restoring to factory
B: Flashing new/more stable kernels and roms on for slim stock feel.
If I get comfortable doing this, I would look into rooting my S5.
TIA

B
Option B! Try SlimKat or HellyBean. HellyBean with the Devil kernel was really stable for me. I recently put SlimKat on my Vibrant though and it has been pretty good, although not quite as stable with certain apps.
Since many ask about benchmarks, I figured "why not start a thread". You're welcome to post your own benchmarks here. Please state rom and kernel version and methodology used
