Rezound on Tmobile USA - HTC Rezound

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421341&highlight=gsm
I looked at this thread...
Can anyone point me in the right direction to how I can get TMOUSA working on the rezound? I might buy this phone in a week...
Is there a specific rom I need to flash to get TMOUSA to work? Or is it Flash once, done?

Either install JoelZ's Sense 4.0 rom and use the GSM patch and then just toss your sim in.

Is it possible to use any rom, and use the GSMPatch?
The reason I'm getting this phone it's because it can work with TMOUSA, and it has a 720P display..
Also, I can't find any OC kernels... Is there any kernel for rezound that OC to around 1.7/1.8Ghz?

No stable GB kernels that overclock and there are overclock ICS kernels if you search. The rezound is really fast at stock clocks though. There isn't much reason to OC.
Not sure why you are so opposed to using the roms I mentioned. Joel's sense 4.0 rom which the GSM patch is meant for is by far the best rom.

Oh, I love his roms, I'm just wondering if I can use other roms.
Sorry, I'm new...
I'm from the LG G2X, thinking of getting rezound.
Is it hard to S-Off? On a scale of 10 what is it out of?
Can I flash any kernel/any rom using the HTCDev method(S-ON)?
Just to confirm, the GSMFix is 100%, SMS, Data, Call. Right?
Sorry for many questions, I want to make sure of everything before I buy this phone.

LOL any phone would be an upgrade from the G2X.
S-OFF is probably a 2 on a scale of 10. It looks WAY harder than it is.
You can flash any kernel/rom with S-ON, but it is not a convenient. I recomment S-OFF immediately. It makes it much easier to recover your phone too if any issues arise.
GSM Fix is 100%. You will get T-Mobile 3G, texts, calls, etc.
However, since you are on tmobile, I would recommend a One series since you are a GSM user.

I don't want the One S, Pentile display, battery, no SD.
The one X is too expensive. ( Rezound is about $300, One S is about $425, One X is about $550)
So this will work with TMOUSA 3G, or is it just EDGE?
With S-Off, I can just flash kernel, and roms with CWM right?
^^ Can't I flash roms and kernel with S-On on CWM?

Don't use CWM. Use AmonRa or TWRP.
Don't worry about what S-OFF allows you to do. Just S-OFF the device. 3G should work fine as well as edge.

The only thing I'm reluctant about the rezound is the thickness.. :|

The thickness isn't really that bad, it's a beautiful phone IMO.

You want thickness get the extended battery for all day power users. With an extra extended battery you can pretty much go anywhere and not worry about losing power. The phone still fits in your pocket and chicks dig it

Don't worry about an OC kernel. You won't be able to control the scaling properly. In my use leaving kernel as is provides the best battery life.

The phone didn't come till November. Gb was basically dead at that point. Stupid to make kernels for it. We still haven't received the ics kernel source from HTC. So our options are limited until that happens.

the one s is not pentile display and from what reviewers have said, it has the best QHD screen right now. Just remember that a 720p screen sucks way more battery than a QHD. I would do the one s personally instead of trying to rig a verizon phone on t-mobile. Pretty sure the one s is hspa 42 (at least 21).

[Q] whats The best Evo 3d CDMA rom?

Hello xda!
ive just upgraded from the evo shift to a evo 3d i unlocked the hboot 1.5
i know that i have to use fastboot to flash roms/kernels
im just wondering what everyones best setup is?im looking for something with good battery life and alot of tweaks.I dont really really care for eye candy or themes lol they would be nice but i noticed the themed roms ive tried have bad battery drain.ive tried pretty all of the recent ones on xda but im wondering if there are any older ones or something that are stable and have tweaks with good battery life?
let me know what you guys use as a everyday rom
im tired off always flashing new roms lol
Scrosler's CleanRom if you like your stock rom, but want a few enhancements, cleaned up, and much better battery life.
Do what I did, flash all of em and find ure fav

ViperRom by far. Super fast, stable, and smooth and has every mod you could want out of a sense rom minus beats. (but who really cares)
I prefer Virus' "infectedROM Eternity™" best one I've used so far... (love Cyanogenmod, too)
Deck's 1.0 for compatibility and battery life. Synergy for blazing speed and near stock feel.

i tried synergy but it went from 58% too 34% WHILE I WAS ASLEEP this is what i meant ive tried alot of roms and most of them dont sleep!!!
oh yeah and i know what u mean about the beats lol its just a little eq u need
I've tested almost all of them, and I'd have to recommend either InfectedROM Eternity or Warm TwoPointThree. Those two offer the best stability and speed without sacrificing battery life.
Or do like others have and spend some time testing all of them.

you can't go wrong with either warm 2.3, eternity, or clean rom. I jump between those 3 roms. if you are looking to overclock I suggest mwalt2's bcblend however I personally run with the stock kernal as my daily. my phone is the in house dj at my work so run pandora all day long connected to wifi. I average between 12-16 hours of battery.

What's the best ICS Rom available

Mwakious has the biggest fanbase right now and can be considered as a good dev with a good rom, though I'm not quite happy with the battery drainage when the screen is on. Somebody else was complaining about the same issue, but again, every phone reacts differently, so maybe you won't even have that issue ukno..

Most of the roms have both cores enabled which will cause that battery issue.
IMO if you're going to go with an ICS ROM, Cool ICS is the best. No dual core nonsense, the right amount of tweaks, and just a good normal ROM.

Ugh not again.
First we need to know if you are GSM or CDMA.
And second, there is no "best" rom. All roms are created differently, for people with different wants and needs. And every rom will run differently on every phone. So just flash one, try it out for a day or two, and if you don't like it, try another.

Don't know if you were leaving it open to all, but I'll answer anyway. Rom is great, but in an effort to increase performance, the battery life isn't there for me. I think Mikey was in the process of balancing battery and performance when the lte came out. Since he is waiting until the ota to update, I'll try it again then.

I am using the mikey's meanrom v2.4 and it has been real stable. I also used the zr3 rom, but it did not have polaris office build into it, and I needed that since I get emails with documents attached. Didn't see any reason to purchase something that is in the mean rom. The zr3 rom is more customized, where meanrom appears to be more stock to me, but that is just my opinion.
I had no performance issues with either.
Have fun!

Depends on if you like sense or de-sensed roms.
For sense I like CONROM and the OTA ICS plus rom from micromod777.
For de-sensed I like both of Neo's roms (fast as hell) or CONROM with the desense option in aroma installer.

Big fan of Neo's latest Adrenaline here, including battery life, it also appears smoother than 1.6 and below but it does appear to be more sluggish than Venom. Having said that however my battery life with the Venom rom was horrible and my phone heated up a lot..never have the latter issue with Neo's rom or Nils' Business Sense 3.6 v5.7 rom for that matter (highly recommend giving that a shot too)
I highly recommend using ElipticRez by hawknest

Need a stable ics rom

OK guys, I have finally gotten approval from my wife to root her rezound because she is on her 6th one and having issues. She has been saying no to rooting BC of small bugs in the roms I run.
Now that I have the approval, what is the most stable ics rom out? She likes sense mainly for the picture upload to Facebook. We both had cm7 for the Aria and she liked it... But I think that was because it was so stable. JB is out of the question because she takes/watches videos of/with our son everyday.
I haven't ran a sense rom in about six months now so I don't if the performance and battery life has gotten better either.
Thanks.

Before this phone it was signal loss, reboots, etc.. I always told her if she was rooted I could fix a lot of the main things.

Tbh I would be calling Verizon again to get another replacement... Since those all seem to be hardware related issues, especially the overheating.
I still love CyanogenMod 9.

I have thought about calling Verizon, but I am tired of having to go through the whole troubleshooting thing.
I am not too worried about the overheating because I am sure it only happens when she is on it for long periods. She hasn't said anything about it always doing it.

To get to t2 right away just tell them that you've done battery pull, factory reset etc. Make sure that you get the point across to them that the phone is having hardware issues that cannot be resolved. You could be more dramatic about the over heating issue and they will take that seriously, as sadly is is a widespread known issue with the Rezzy. Chances are you will be able to get to Tier 2 within 5 minutes and another CLNR Rezound will be sent out to you.

Mine is running to 55 degree celscius last day. Im with venomrez 1.0.3
Sent From Rezound S-off rooted VenomRez ROM
Don't mess with the other roms. Just go with venom Rom. There's a reason it hasn't been updated in a year. Not a single bug, issue, or anything. The Rom is perfect. And if you use the developers kernel also (bamf kernel), you'll get about 40% bump in battery life
Trust me. Start with venom.

Is that a sense rom?
Sent from my Rezound using xda app-developers app
Can't go wrong with Ineffabilis Deus v1.2 if you want a Sense 3.6 rom (same as stock for the WAF). You do need to install the global RUU with it to update to the latest firmware but that's common with a lot of roms now.
Venom is Sense 4 based and also a good rom.

I put that on my Wife's Rez because she uses it for her business calls and she needed something super stable. She's been using it for months and has not had a complaint about it. She tethers to her laptop when she's out at meetings and loves it! Nils is the Man!

Trickdroid vs android revolution hd

Hey everyone, I'm kind of new to flashing roms and I want to know which Rom works better on sense 5 on the HTC One. What advantages these two have?

Trickdroid has a lot of features, tweaks and so on, revolution is closer to stock. Both are great from what I hear. Just the devs may do different things. Flash both to see which you prefer

I tried android revolution hd and I love it. I think I'm gonna stick with it.
I've been running ARHD for the last couple days and I have to say that surprisingly enough, the AT&T stock ROM seems faster (as in: more responsive) to me.
Any other thoughts on this? I'd also like to add in the Renovate ROM to the discussion as well.
I'm running trickdroid and I like it much better. I have used ARHD as a daily driver too so my opinion comes with experience in both ROMs, it is still obviously an opinion, buy I prefer to customize and tweak my ROMs... You might as well stick to stock if you're gonna go with ARHD since it is just an optimised stock. If you're looking for custom, trickdroid is the way to go...

I've been running ARHD the past few hours, and so far I agree 100% with your views on it. It's a stable, responsive and clean ROM though.
I installed ARHD 7.1 today and the only niggle I have is that voice dialing on Bluetooth is not as good - different voice and different procedure.
I really like renovate. You download the ROM once on your phone and with any update, it just downloads the changed files. You can do all this on your phone. Have never seen anything like this before. It is not all automatic though, you have to enter some commands in terminal emulator. It also has NFC on when phone is off, so I don't have to turn the phone on to have it read tectiles.
so I have been using this ROM called Maximus7 5.0.0 for sense 5 and I absolutely love it. In my opinion it is the closest to stock ROM from the other Roms that I have tried out so far. It also let's you do OTA updates.

If you have an AT&T One then ARHD is far better than stock.

As I said... it is an OPTIMIZED stock. But nonetheless a stock experience. If customization is what someone is looking for, trickdroid is the way to go.

I agree. There are some updates in the newest International base that aren't in the AT&T stock base tho. That's what I meant mostly.

I'll agree, arhd is far better then stock. that's all I've been running. I've tried cleanrom and the rest of the international roms. I just keep coming back to arhd.

I have been using Maximus7 for a couple of weeks and honestly I can't tell the difference between ARHD and Maximus7 the only difference is that Maximus7 let's you do OTA updates and ARHD doesn't.

ARHD is the way to go.I've used Trickdroid and the customization is great but the battery life was killing me.
ARHD is solid and great battery wise for now till CM comes out.

I've been playing with the AT&T install of ARHD 9.0 for a few days (haven't had the chance to upgrade to 9.1 yet). My impression is that it's a bit faster than stock (not sure by how much, but feels "zippier" to me).
Overall, I'm pretty happy with the Sense UI so a ROM like this which provides a "fairly close to stock experience" was what I was looking for. It's not perfect (I understand that the WiFi password issue was fixed in 9.1 though), but it's very good. The only little thing that I haven't been able to find in 9.0 as of yet is the LinkedIn Blinkfeed connector... I know that Blinkfeed isn't something that everybody necessarily loves, but I do find it handy to have something to look at when waiting in line for a few minutes or even glancing at the screen when stopped at a red light. (Any suggestions on what I need to do to get the LinkedIn connector up and running again would be appreciated.)
Just out of curiousity, I also downloaded TrickDroid and have been waiting to try it out. Maybe I'll install that today and play around with it for a bit too, now that ARHD has set the standard for me and can be used as a point of reference.
