Hello everyone,
Within the past week, I have gotten a "Sending..." notification at the bottom of my screen when I turn my phone on. Also, my phone gets a bit warm and the battery doesn't last a half a day. I use Handcent and have cleared the cache and the "unsent messages". I don't know what other program is sending things. It sucks. Help me out?

I have been getting this notification also.
My device is staying cool and there is no noticeable change in battery life or performance.
If anyone can offer any input it would be greatly appreciated as I find this highly disconcerting.

I just bought my Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant variant and I already have a serious issue where the display does not shut off after receiving a text message. I understand the display is supposed to turn on to notify me that I have a text message but then the screen stays on and does not return to stand by. I already experienced this today when my phone was in my pocket during a meeting and did not notice a problem until after the meeting and a good portion of my phone has drained. I have tried a factory reset as well as troubleshooting all the battery saver options. Has anyone else had an issue like this? And if it is a known issue or if someone can help me out I would appreciate it.
Go into settings and enable puzzle piece lock or pattern lock. It's kind of a glitch and these are the only known workarounds so far.

Ugh that is such garbage. I turned that puzzle lock off because it is useless and hated the aesthetics of it. Good job Samsung
Hi, I just flashed to ICS Euphoria last night and so far I'm loving it but I have one thing I can't figure out. Is there a way to make the screen illuminate briefly when receiving notifications (specifcally e-mail or SMS)? I would love for it to light up and show a message received but I can't find a setting to make this happen, if it's even possible. I did manage to turn off the softkeys lighting up through the "pulse notification" setting to save battery life.
Thanks in advance!
I'v got a couple of things really winding me up with my S3 I wonder if anyone has a solution.
1) The stock SMS app doesn't seem to honour the vibrate style setting I have, I set it to heartbeat but text messages still use the looong horrible vibrate.
2) Why does the damn notifications toggles scroll EVERY time i open it? I'm used to very quickly swiping this and hitting wifi or bluetooth on or off and now I miss them cause it starts sliding to show me the other buttons that I already know are there!
I'm not interested in flashing non-stock roms and I'd prefer to stick with Stock SMS so just wondered if anyone had found solutions to these yet?
I am running the Jelly Bean 3.15.651.16 stock deodexed rooted ROM and have been experiencing some issues as of late. Every now and then when I send a text message, it just sits in the sending status for an hour or more and never actually sends. I try and update my profile and reboot the phone and it doesn't seem to fix it, idk how to fix it actually, sometimes it just works after messing around for a whie, either way it is a P.I.A. Also, sometimes the clock in the notification bar freezes on some random time but my clock widget display the correct time, again this fixes itself at times. Is anybody else experiencing this? It is really annoying me.
I have hunted and hunted, but can't figure this one out. On my Note 2 I could go to the stock Samsung calendar settings and turn off "Notifications While the Screen Is Off." However, on the S4 I do not see the option to turn these notifications off. I have tried different roms, etc.
I need to keep notifications on so that they sit in my notification bar when I turn the screen on (so, I can't completely turn off notifications). However, I don't want my screen turning on every 15 minutes that I have an appointment (this drains the battery pretty quick).
Anyone know what I'm talking about or what to do about it? By the way, I would go with the stock Google calendar, but like Samsung's much more.
Thanks in advance for any help.
One more try ... anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a lot.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem. I get the notification, but it keeps the screen on until I acknowledge. I don't usually notice until my pocket gets really warm, then I realize the screen's been on the whole time.
