Flash the gapp zip....
CM can't include google apps in rom because some issue with google, so flash separately
i can't install google maps on my phone...market doesn't show it...and i also can't install through gapps...the market on phone says it is not compatible with my phone... i have kyrillos rom v10.4...that is happening since v10 (cm7.2)...on v9 i didn't have this problem (froyo)
Try flashing latest gapps from bambolis.
it's in first post of cm7.2 by marcellusbe

that's only google play or market...tried it but it's all the same
Why dont you try installing the apk
google for the link
If you are unable to install it you might need to go to settings>apps>all>maps and wipe data or remove existing maps via root explorer
(Google maps may not be shown in the launcher)
i have same problem with cm7 8.1 dont have maps, and i install a lot package gapps but same.

Edited: You need to remove existing apk in the system apps directory or else it won't install
Try installing apk after you delete apk and odex

Hello, I'm running the latest CM7 rom (CM7.2) and using the Glitch v13.1 kernel. I am having a problem with the Play Store. On some apps it says "Your device is not compatible with this version." or something to that effect. How can I fix this issue? Thanks!

Its a ROM issue, not market issue. You need market unlocker, or download free apk from anywhere else, and install manually
Hi,
My daughter has the HP touchpad, I've already loaded CM7 using moboot method so she keeps webos. I can see now that many stable versions of CM9 exist and want to upgrade to one of the many ROMs available. Can I do this straight from clockwork mod or do I need to flash additional zip files in order for it to work properly. I have searched lots of forums and some are suggesting to use acme installer 2 but I have titanium backup so cannot see the point in this method. Any help is much appreciated.

Err what's the question .
Q:can I upgrade to CM9 from CM7 through clockwork recovery?
A:don't remember where I saw it but I do remember that it could not flash properly and result in bugs....
So its best to do a clean install using ur PC and following this

Look for a video from reverend kyle on youtube, its a pretty good explanation and tells you the files you need. The CM9 build will be outdated in the video so just use the latest gapps and CM9 build. Everything else will be the same. Basically you'll need to use you computer and ACMEInstaller2. If you ever want to install CM10 you'll want to use ACMEInstaller3.
Many thanks for the responses, I will see how I get on.

Might want to consider what was posted above, skip cm9, use acme uninstaller to start clean, then acmeinstaller3 and put one of the jellybean builds on.
JB takes up more system space, which acmeinstaller3 provides

just wondering has anyone tried to download google chrome beta to their nook and was successful at it? I try and get "parse error: there is a problem parsing the package." any ideas on how to resolve this?

I installed it on CM10 a few weeks back, no problem installing, but was underwhelmed with the performance. Did you try installing from Play or download from elsewhere?
I tried installing from play store directly and had also downloaded to. Y phone and then tried to swap memory cards and down load that way as well.

You need to be running Android 4 or above (CM9 or CM10) to run Chrome, I'm surprised Play store even showed it for a CM7 device.
Is cm9 or cm10 in stable modes now?

Look in my NC SD installation thread linked in my signature. You do not have to install these to SD, it just has the links for the ROMs.
