My understanding he is against Sprint. Where he got that much time with EVO 4g lte? Did Sprint release same EVO phones or he got from HTC I don't know.
The only thing I agree with him is with out lte no new phone period. We know Sprint is 3g

As well they should be. The EVO LTE is a freaking beast of a phone. Coupled with LTE, this thing will blow away EVERYTHING on the market right now (those lucky first round souls...)!
he basically casually glossed over most of the features on the phone... but it really gets biased at this point:
That may appeal to some, but to me the convenience isn't worth giving Google my credit information. It's like giving Cookie Monster keys to the Keebler factory. If Google wants that access, it should provide a free phone and wireless service in return.

LOL! Yeah, to buy music...
Another app, called "Media Share," is designed to connect the phone to a Wi-Fi network and share media files. I thought it would be cool to rent a movie from HTC and play it back through my home network, but I couldn't connect the phone. This was probably a user error, but it should be easier.

Haha!! Two things I would like to point out.
1. If this guy can't even figure out how to connect the phone to his home network then he has no business reviewing phones.
2. Like a typical iPhone user, he expects everything on the phone to be designed and executed for people with Down's Syndrome.
Verdict: The LTEvo is too much phone for him.
Edit:
The Evo also has the ballyhooed Google Wallet and NFC capability. Wallet lets you load credit-card info, which is permanently linked to your Google account. Wallet also stores retail-loyalty cards, and Google will use it to send you coupons and offers.
With near-field communications hardware, you can wave the phone near special credit-card readers at some stores to make a payment.

Ive been with Sprint for 6+ years. regardless of there 3g data speeds, for me it has been sufficient with my needs. And with Wifi access everywhere, it really isnt a tremendous loss. Unless of course you like to download ginormous files off 3g. However Sprint plans on even improving it, and with unlimited data, I think thats great.
" The first Evo's battery barely made it past lunchtime. I could use the new one lightly for well over a day without recharging. Sprint claims 7.5 hours of talk time, but the battery is "embedded" and can't be replaced by users."
I thought HTC designed the EVO LTE to have a removable battery...?

Not just HTC, but the device itself. If more people own the E3D there will be a higher demand for more developers to make 3D content (movies, games, and so forth), as well as a higher demand for 3D devices in the future (Next gen. EVO with quadcore processor, 3D once again, more RAM, ROM and so forth ).

I would take this with a grain of salt. I can't see Sprint allowing this to happen. This is going to be like an AndroidCentral article "Update...Looks like we were wrong" We left out a small detail etc etc blah blah. I really love my EVO lte, but the fact it was left out of the upgrade list, when it's the best of the One series, is disconcerting. I've been watching how they handle the 3D upgrade, and it seems to be following the same path.
Even Samsung has figured out the importance of taking care of their flagship device.
Sent from my EVO using xda premium
Who said its out of the upgrade list? Relax fellas. You're getting worked up over nothing.
We'll get it in august kinda like the og evo and froyo
Unlike the one series, which are HTC's flagship, the evo lte is sprints flagship. The update may take slightly longer due to the carriers interference, but the development for the phones will most likely be in parallel. Its not HTC's gig to really announce updates for it months in advance, their Job is to support and develop for it, while sprint takes care of all PR's and announcements.
Sprint would never in a million years not update the evo lte, they're just being quiet because that's how carriers do business. Once they are close, we should hear an announcement
Been playing with Google Now for a few days now on my LTE. It works... but seems a little slow as compared to the search capabilities that came stock. It also keeps on updating me with how long it is going to get home. I guess it wants me to leave work REALLY bad. LOL!

I've been playing with jb and Google now for an hour or so on my Xoom. I'm really digging the voice recognition, but just starting to play with the whole card setup. I think it is going to be a big hit when it finally rolls put to more people.
So I don't know if anyone else is thinking about getting this phone, it has caught my interest. I went to the Sprint site to see what's going on there, and they are advertising it as coming soon. I went to check my upgrade eligibility and then looked at current phones they have. To my surprise the OG Evo is selling higher than the LTE with 2-year contract. To top it off the OG is preowned. That's crazy right?
Anyways, what's everyone think of the new HTC phone?

Yea. Samsung phones have always felt cheaper to me. The interface is definitely nothing compared to sense. The only things that turn me away from the One, is that it doesn't have an expandable sd slot. Then again, neither does my iPod and I never run out of space on that. Then again, it is an Apple product. I'd like to know which developers are going to the One, that could also be a sway. Imagining Viper on it, I think HTC should hire some of our developers to perfect the interface.

Real question is does The One replace the Evo branding. I don't believe HTC would make Sprint or any carrier specific variant of The One. This is exactly what they are trying to get away from. They want 1 device on every carrier that they can market the crap out of(ala galaxy). What do you guys think about that? I love my EVO LTE, I think its superior to the GS3 and I love having a phone that people ask "what the heck is that" because it looks different. Is this the end of the EVO or just going to delay the EVO launch until the luster of The One is over??

As someone that literally buys a new phone every year, I might get this. However, I won't be able to get it until summer, but something new might be available by then, so we'll just have to wait and see. FU Sprint for not bringing LTE to Denver in a reasonable time frame.
Holding off on this phone. I've owned all of the Evos but won't be buying this one. Sprint sucks. I'm waiting until a couple months remain on my contract and then jumping ship to Verizon. Verizon has 4g in my city and have for almost a year and I'm stuck here with Sprint's ****ty 3g service that won't even load a Google search in a decent amount of time.

Oh well I'll just have the LTE and the One. No way in hell I'm giving the LTE up for a 100.00 dollars after I paid 550.00 for it in December.
method1911 Tranquility LTE
Ill mostly find a way to buy the one but, ill probably not let this EVO go for quite a while. This has easily been the best phone I've ever had and I love this phone! I wish it would've had all the crazy development we had with the first EVO. That was so much fun. Everytime you would log on to the forum you never knew what new thing would be there. Which is funny because I almost exclusively ran warm or virus but I read everything. Needless to say, I love this phone and I am excited to see this new one.
I also have to say that the development for this phone is, although not as heavy and as many, I think it is definitely WAY better. Mikey, and superjelly, and these others are really throwing solid builds. I just miss the buzz that used to be here.
Unless the galaxy s4 has something to deter me away then the HTC One it is.
