Sprint doesn't care about EVO 3D users.
Assuming they do announce it, they would release it till June or so. Too bad, because the One X is current and top-gen now. Who knows what will be out in 3-4 months.

This won't happen.... What will happen is an announcement of a new sprint htc device.... Which is pretty obvious.

You think so? I'm kinda fuzzy on the specs, so I was just making a gross assumption. I don't feel like looking them up. What sort of specs are we looking at with Sprint's One X?

No doubt, but I guess that the S4 beat out the Tegra 3. So this chipset will suit me just fine.
http://phandroid.com/2012/03/25/att...proof-of-snapdragon-s4-outperforming-tegra-3/
the processor beat the tegra3, but the gpu is years behind, its the same gpu the evo 3d has just slightly faster. lame.
You never know with Sprint....could be the Kyocera quad screen!

So your saying tegra 3 is a better fit for gamers?
My honest opinion we should all just wait for the gs3.
It'll probably be the CDMA variant of the One X with the S4 processor, and one of the first LTE phones. Might even be a "World Phone." You won't have to worry about it being out of date by any other HTC phones since HTC is putting their eggs in the Quality, not Quantity basket. I'd be happy to see another 3D phone, but I'll live with the next phone in line. I don't hardly use the 3D anymore, but every now and again, it's nice to have.

I wouldn't really speak for everyone else in your opinion. Sure, they might have different specs that may or may not be better than the next EVO, but there are still some people out there VERY loyal to HTC, myself included.
I understand the dual core keeps up with its quad core cousin overseas, but why a downgrade in the screen too?
I really was hoping htc would follow the galaxy line and just basically change the name depending on the provider (plus a few other small changes) . Forget upgrades, as we all know about samsung and their upgrades.
I'm glad to see kickstand back, but it looks like a plastic pos. It has already been stated that sprints version will not be their big dog. I can't say for sure, as I have not played with it, but htc does not appear to be picking up their game when they need to.
Any thoughts...

the insides r identical just a different shell bigger battery, kickstand, and micro sd on the evo might not be as aesthetically pleasing but ill take it over the one x. espiecally the fact that with what theyve added to it, it is still just about as thin..
I have my eyes on the Evo Lte but..kinda worried guys this phone will get outdated soon?
How long will the Evo Lte last in till it gets owned by some other phone?
I just hope its not like last year.
you guys remember the Evo 3d last year?
2-3 months after its release Galaxy S2 came out with better specs making the Evo 3d look out dated.
Now lets fast forward to today.
LG has a rumored device coming to sprint.
look at these amazing spec guys:
4.67-inch (1280×768) LCD TFT display,
1.5 GHz Qualcomm quad-core Krait processor
Adreno 320 GPU
2GB of RAM
2100 mAh battery
13-megapixel camera
NFC
Damn. wowsers is right.
http://briefmobile.com/lg-ls970-eclipse-coming-with-1-5-ghz-quad-core-krait-cpu
Rumors say its coming this year?!
So I guess my question is the Evo Lte good enough (Future proof) to compete for the rest of the year?
That's technology bud. Everything gets bested eventually. In the end the biggest factor is user experience, and if you're a flashaholic like most people here, the development community. As far as the rumored LG phone goes, based on the specs alone, I would probably get it. However, LG isn't exactly known for timely updates.

They may not be dual core just because of LTE. It's still a krait processor. I thought I read somewhere that all of the new krait processors have LTE built in. I could be wrong but I thought I read that somewhere.

MacBooks are pretty expensive, so I'd say a decent system with something like:
i7 or phenom quad/octacore
at least 4GB of ram
500GB/1TB or so HDD
GPU of at least HD capacity
17.3 inch or so display would be great or something smaller if that's what you want
Something along that line would be decent, I probably missed a few specs, but it's been a while since I serious looked at hardware on a pc.

N7000 has no LTE, physical button dual core Exynos 4 1.4GHz and a Mali-400 MP4 GPU. the dedicated GPU is pretty much the only hook over the i717 other than that, the exynos 4 and Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8660 are pretty much on par from a lot of tests I've seen.
