I think you might wish to avoid doing any of this.
e.g. Samsung bootloader is not locked...
Everything you need to know is already around too.

you dowloaded cwm after rooting?
better you stay away from rom manager, root with CF-root, you will get the app CWM manager with similar functions to Rom manager, will work withall the custom kernels for SGS2
Cf root

You've been given more than enough links.
See rule #1.
Don't be lazy.
EDIT to add: I should clarify - Not I nor anyone else can tell you what you should do next to your phone. If you want to root it or otherwise modify it, the links already provided to you will (eventually) lead you to the information you seek.
You seem to be asking what people here should advise you to do to your phone. How should we know? We don't know what you want to do, or what your tastes are. Everyone likes different things. Someone's idea of a cool modification may not be my idea of a cool modification. Or yours. Understand?
you can do wat you want with it wipe your ass with it for all we care haha

And ifso wich guide and files to use?
Member since 2009, 102 posts, yet skipped the stickies and FAQ?
Yes, it's possible, and you've got several choices. Good luck finding them.
I've searched already but did'nt found exactly what to do and i dont want to risk taking the wrong path.

Seriously, you didn't even need to search. Q&A section. Fifth sticky. (SERIOUSLY. Like 3 inches below the "NEW THREAD" button you used to start this thread)
Roots any i9100 that has 2.3.5 or earlier.

Well i've read it already and been reading a lot about it but i did not asked it if i knew what to use!
Maybe to you it's easy but i can't seem to find the answer that gives me the certain things to do/use.
Hopefully someone will give me the helpful/right answer (as i did in some posts) because when you take the time to reply it might as well be usefull.

Read post #4 of that thread. It has a WORKING link to the "[04/Jan][ROOTING/UNROOTING] DooMLoRD's Easy Rooting Toolkit [v4.0](zergRush Exploit)
" thread. (I say working because post #1 has NONworking link to the same page. Thread author didn't link it properly)
If you can't understand this and think it's not helpful, I would suggest you not root your phone. No offense.
Thnx i've got it.
I'm not a noob but there is so much info and it's sometimes difficult to read the correct things because of the language.

I think he's fine. He's in the Netherlands, according to his profile, so T-Mobile Europe, not T-Mobile USA... so he SHOULD have an I9100(and does, going by the screen shot of his "About Phone" screen in post #1), not an SGH-T989.

You could have flashed a custom ROM withOUT rooting. Indeed, there are several custom ROMs that come already rooted.
EDIT: Sorry, ignore the above sentence. I'm mistaken. You need root. My bad.
Sorry, but in my opinion, you went backwards on this. You rooted for the sake of rooting, then wondered "what can I do now that I have root?", instead of rooting because you needed to do something that required root. But I digress, and I'll get off my soapbox now.
That said, several apps that require root that I like are DroidWall (control what apps can access the internet via 3g and/or wifi), SixAxis Controller (use a ps3 controller on your phone - great for emulators), AdAway (ad blocker), Chainfire 3D (for Tegra only compatible games), Root Explorer (essential for tweaking files in system folders), Startup manager (control what apps are allowed to start when the phone boots), Titanium Backup (backup/restore applications and their data, freeze apps), and SetCPU (undervolt/overclock/change governors/etc).
First of all i rooted for the apps that need rooting like titanium and some other apps.
Second, indeed for flashing because i always thought it was essential. (saw your edit)
Third, i read some things about security issues (dataleaks fe.)and thought i had to root to solve them.
Maybe i'm totally wrong but as i said before there is so much info that its hard to pick the right things out of the topics.
Thanx for your help. Learning more everyday

Flashing roms two methods ODIN or CWM and now MOBILE ODIN .
If you want to flash a custom rom you read that roms install instructions no more and no less .
Most but not all custom roms are flashed via CWM
CWM requires root and CWM install .
Root + CWM .

OK getting further and further every minute
Now know that with the actual root i can't flash.
Do i need to unroot this root before Root CWM?
So i read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399 and took Odin.
Now wondering wich CF Root to take.
My kernelversion says: [email protected]#2
Wich kernel i need to take:
this one: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEF_KJ2-v4.4-CWM4.zip
or this one: CF-Root-SGS2_XW_XEF_KJ2-v5.0-CWM5.zip
Or am i reading it wrong?
KJ2 might as well take v5 CWM
jje
And what about the unroot part? Do i need to unroot first and then CF-root?

Two threads in eleven minutes from two different users asking the same, unbelievably basic question. Asking of which is clear admittance of breaking the rules (rule 1). So to ensure I'm in adherence to the rules (rule 10), I post the below to be helpful.

It's not possible. Many skillful developers are working hard to crack it, but Samsung's protection is just too hard to crack, it seems. If you somehow still find people, saying that it's possible, don't believe them, they are trying to trick you. All the existing "working" methods are just going to break your phone.
Ok, now on a serious note, it's possible, but I really wouldn't advise you to do that, regarding your... erm... "mental capabilities" in challenging situations.
being a bit helpful here
why do you want to root do you know why you are rooting ???
Please understand rooting voids your warranty .

maybe its noob ,, but if i want to install ICS on my galaxy s2 .. do i have to flash a new kernel ??

before installing the ICS i want to backup the current ROM thats is Stock rom "company rom"
so i think i need to flash a kernel with cwm first then do a backup .. then flash ICS kernel then installing the ICS rom ??

Root is not needed kernel is part of the firmware .
Flash a stock Samsung rom from Stock rom thread or from posted ICS roms in General via Odin .
Alternative wait for your phones upgrade via KIES or use Checkfus to download firmware .
Root is only required if you are flashing a custom firmware that requires CWM and Root and most do .

After installing kies ,,, a frimware update show up ,,
now i think its better to update the frimeware throw kies right ??
and is it possible to install ics with kies ??? or i need to flash costume kernel with CWM recovery !!
thanks in advance
ok
personally I would look at Chainfire topic on easy rooting etc, or you could use SuperOneClickRoot & then install any number of custom roms from the I9100 android development section here at XDA

Ask your "mum" or your "little sister" to do it for you.
But they must remember how to unlock "your" phone.

Hello!
I'm new in Android system, my phone is SGS2 G, today after long triyng finally i could root my Phone,
here is my questions:
1- what did mean of Rom? is this just like a theme or just a new style for my phone and some more tools with it?
2-I wanr to add some Rom or a Rom for my Phone and I'm really a new user and have no idea, i read some posts but there was not clean and specialy for some one like me, i want really some simply steps to add a Rom for my Phone.
3- what is the most important tools or app to user that simply rootet his Phone so far?
With My Best Regards,
Matin, Germany
My recommendation is that you should ask in the correct thread. Look the pined threads at the top of the page.
You will find the Q&A thread.
Btw: you can make a fast search on google.
I'm sure that you will find the answers there or try doing what I said before.
Good luck dude!

Before you install anything, you will require to install CWM and root. Install CF-kernel from the link below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1103399
There is a installation guide in it. Read through carefully before you do something you dont understand.
By definition a room has to have walls, floor and a point of entrance otherwise it is not a room.
hope this helps with your issue with What should I do ? what is Room? lmfao
Rom = full firmware kernel OS modem and applications .
There are no simple steps simple instructions yes .
Odin and CWM are the rom flashing tools of choice .

2) All important info can be found in General > Sticky roll-up thread. Believe it or not, you're not the first person to ask this question
