Just a guess but I would say no. Not without some tweaking.

[Q] Will EVO 3D ROMs work on the Virgin EVO V 4G?

I'm digging around and it appears that the hardware in the EVO V from Virgin is identical to the EVO 3D. Will ROMs for the 3D work on my Virgin Mobile EVO V device?

[Q] Evo V 4g user: are all ROMs "Sprintified"?

I am acquiring this week an Evo V 4g (Virgin Mobile Evo 3d), I'm wondering if all ROMs for the device are for the Sprint version. I notice that many ROMS that are ICS have "Sprintified" in the subject, or something similar.

There are no roms built specifically for the evo v here in xda. You can find roms built for the evo v on android forums and vmroms.

The reason the Roms say Sprintified is because the dev took the Virgin Mobile leak and converted it for use on Sprint. You need one where this has not been done, which is not available here.

Is it possible to unlock Sprint EVO 3D 4G for Virgin Mobile

As Title. I have Sprint Evo 3D 4G, I want to use it for Virgin Mobile. Is it possible of doing so? Will that affect my Virgin Mobile cheap plan? Thanks in advance.

CDMA phones can't be "unlocked" like GSM phones can. CDMA phones are identified by the MEID number, and Sprint has a database of these numbers and what brand they are associated with. So they will see you are trying to activate a Sprint-branded phone and Virgin and reject it. Changing they MEID is possible but is illegal in some jurisdictions (Missouri comes to mind), so I won't go any further.
Or you could call up Sprint and ask very nicely if they'll activate it for you anyway. But don't be surprised if they say no.

Thanks.
Should I finish the esn swap first then flash rom? or the other way round?
I see many of the custom CDMA roms are based on Sprint. Does they also work on Virgin Mobile?
What is the stable daily using ROM you are commending?

I'm on MetroPCS and all the Sprint ROMs work for me, they should all work for you too (provided you're flashing CDMA ROMs)

They work perfectly fine on virgin mobile. If you want to get MMS working your gonna have to flash an HTC EVO V ROM. Not sure i can like to another forum but theres a EVO V forum at android forums. Make sure to back up before you flash. The first time i flashed a ROM the ESN changed back. Just the ESN so it was a quick fix.

[Q] Use HTC Evo V on Sprint

Hi Everyone,
I've been using an HTC Evo 4G for a while now on spring and my mom just bought a new phone to replace her HTC Evo V on virgin mobile. The Evo V is the same as the EVO 3D on sprint, it even has the same spring branding on the top right. I tried to setup the Evo V on my sprint account at home, in a store and by calling customer support. The sprint store said I needed to call support and they could do it but support said it couldn't be done. So I ask you, is it possible to use a virgin mobile HTC Evo V as an HTC Evo 3D on sprint? If so what steps do I need to take in order to have it activate and work either at home, in store or through customer support?
There is only one way to do it, and as far as I know it can't be discussed on xda. So pretty much no.

That is not always true. Check with Sprint and see if they will activate the ESN. Virgin Mobile will not activate any non-VM ESN Phones so that is what cannot be discussed, but some carriers do not care. You can log into your sprint account and see if the ESN is available for activation or go to a store and ask.

Is this to activate the Virgin Mobile Evo V on sprint or to get the sprint Evo 3D working on virgin mobile? I need to get an Evo V from Virgin Mobile activated on sprint. Thanks for your reply!

I would just go to a store and ask if you can.

I already have. I tried to do it on m computer and it didn't recognize the phone when I put in the DEC. I went to the sprint store and they said they couldn't do it there but that if I call support they should be able to take care of it. Called support and they said it couldn't be done which has led me here.

[Q] Is the Virgin Mobile Evo the 3D or V?

I've recently gone through hell trying to root and install ROMs on my friend's HTC Evo for Virgin Mobile. Something I just noticed is that it seems the 3D and V are two variants of the same phone. Is the V the only version of the Evo on Virgin Mobile? If so, does this mean I should look for ROMs/root guides specifically for the V or should the 3D guides be exactly the same? The bootloader shows it as shooter, which means it's a CDMA 3D, but everything referring to Virgin Mobile shows the phone as the V. Can someone clear this up?
The virgin mobile variant of the 3d is the Evo V, only use ROMs from the CDMA dev thread or you will get bootloops

Thanks. I've had a huge headache with my friend's Evo. It got stuck in a bootloop not because I'm not using CDMA ROMs, but because I can't find any ROMs that work with hboot 1.58. And any RUU I use tells me the hboot it's attempting to install is an older version and the update fails, so it's a real mess.
