Port LewaOS - Nook Color Android Development

Using this instruction i am make port for Nook color.
Download

Flashed this for fun and, just an FYI, it works!
Use gingerbread Gapps of course.
It is similar to MIUI and needs some tweaking for sure.. but hey it's something new to play with.
Issues:
-Top left hand corner of of status bar has an empty black space.
-Bootanimation needs to be looped. (easy fix in desc.txt in bootanimation.zip)
-Lockscreen is small (doesn't take up whole screen)
-Some system apps are in chinese. (eg. Calendar)
-SDManager keeps crashing on me
-And some other stuff for sure, havent' gone through it extensively yet. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that it won't bork ur system or anything.

Awesome! How difficult was it to do following that guide? Would it be possible to port joyos over the same way and get an android ipad?

I've been trying to port JoyOS for the last couple days with no luck. I finally got it to get to the boot screen last night but that is about it. I'm pretty sure that I'm screwing something up myself but at this point I'm not sure if it can be done by someone with such limited skills as myself.

in step 3-9 need only copy files from LewaOS rom in CM rom without replace.

Port
What device did you port from?

I would like to see the JOY OS. Running it on my Atrix and it is pretty good. I like it better that Lewa. Hope you can get it ported.

NookieJoyOS port
Well with the directions the OP linked to I was able to port JOYOS to our nook color. Did this for fun, i'm not too much a fan of the iOS look on our Nooks, but I ported it anyways. And I think i'll call it NookieJoyOS
However the icons and sizing of the layouts are a kinda off. It's probably because I used the wrong JOYOS rom to port over. I believe our device is mdpi, i dunno, correct me if I'm wrong. I used the Defy JOYOS version for the port and using Mirage's CM7 as a base.
Screenshots so ya'll don't think i'm BS'ing

EDIT: Well it looks like it was because lcd-density was at 160, changed it to 240, now all looks fine. This port was based on JOYOS v1.1.9. I"m gonna go ahead and try to port over the latest one which is 1.2.2. Will let you all know how it goes once it's done.

/me wants this so much!

Please start new thread and post. Using it on my Atrix and it is a great Rom. Thanks!

Yes, definitely start a new thread so this JoyOS ported doesn't get overlooked or lost in the LeWaOS thread! And definitely post the rom you have now!

Are you all still interested in CM7 - Tron Edition?

So i'm not getting that many dl's and will kill the thread if you guys aren't interested in it...
The reason I say this is because i'm not getting any feedback and not getting many dl's.
If you are, I'm more than happy to continue. If not, no worries, i'll still continue the project for myself, but I just won't waste time posting it on xda...
so lets hear your voice!

doesn't seem like people are interested...nobody is voting...which just takes a single click...
It doesn't really seem like we 5 roms based on the same thing, especially when the tron rom is more of just a theme. That is probably why.
If you made it a theme Chooser compatible theme, more people might want it.

Maybe it can be becauase the vibrant is getting old the galaxy s 2 is out now and these newer phones perso.ally i never used cm7 but if I were you and nobody appreciates your work, which I do be ause your putting in your time and effort for free to provide this rom to people, I would just develop for my self or just pursue a different project all together but I will try your rom out tomorrow and give you feedback on it. Thanks for your contribution to xda and giving back to the community
If you make this theme for the theme chooser, you will actually reach more people. CM7 is available for almost 30 devices. If you post your themed .apk in the General apps and Themes section for android you're bound to get more downloads.

it's in the dev section i would love to hear your thoughts about it. though the last update i seem to be getting a lot of fc's on the framework...not sure if others have had this problem or not, as nobody has really said anything, so it could just be me...but i doubt it.
I'm going to try and update it asap but i have a lot of other stuff i'm doing besides a full time job, and this falls to the wayside...

Hello everyone,
Here is team d3rps AOSP rom, This was originally going to be a heavily modified version of KM's beta, but i decided to keep it pretty stock except for a few changes.
Whats not working:
3D
Wimax
Disclaimer: I have been doing this a while but i am no magician, this has been working rather well for me but my 3vo is not my primary phone at the time of writing this
Screenies:
The goods:
-KM 7.5 beta as a base
-MIUI Kernel baked in so camera flash works
-Changed font
- Evergreen wallpaper pack (kinda thrown together)
- qHD keyboard mod
- Project evergreen theme turned on by default (this can be changed in the theme chooser, this made my mods a lot lighter)
- Gray scale lock screen
- D3rpy welcome
- new boot anim
All credit goes where credit is due, a lot of this was done by me this time around, but it would not be possible without everyone who made their contributions
Download

I went to his site and literally can't read the changelog, it's like font size .0000000001 lol. I thought it was only the kernel switch as you had suggested? I can pull the mod link if you think I should.

Exporting Keyboard

Hello all,
There is a CM7 theme Called GingerBlurB that has a KB in it that I just love.
I would like to have this ava for say Eclipse... I looked through the the files but I haven't a clue which ones are for the KB. If anyone could be of assistance on this I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
If you were going to do that you would have to get into the images and transfer them over to your ROM and replace the images for the keyboard. I would think thats how it would get done anyway. My suggestion is to look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1241742
They have some nice keyboards. Maybe one you will like more. And you can just flash it to your phone.
I was looking through them and there was a gingerblur one in there not sure if that's the one that's being reffered to or not

You know, actually, if you took the .apk of the theme and extracted it, there might be a LatinIME.apk inside there. You could probably just put that in your system/app folder, change permissions and restart. I would have to look at the .apk though.
EDIT: Nevermind. It didnt work. There are nothing but images in the theme apk. Unless you want to go through the process of creating your own keyboard out of those images, which might not even be that hard if you know what you are doing, I'd go with the flashable keyboards in the link above.
Thanks for the replies, the Red Linear is the closet one in apperance but the key layout is different as well as the color...
Here is the one I want.

You will probably need to decompile the themed keyboard, then replace the theme in the keyboard on eclipse, and make sure your key mappings are correct

Think I could pull this off with Theme-Pro?
Thanks for the help!
Ok, after doing some reading, thinking and etc... If I am understand this correctly, the KB I want is in a "theme" which is for "CM7". That means I would have to use the KB from CM7 and the Skin from the theme. Now with that being said, I don't think it would be possible to install on my DX2 as it's running stock ROM??
Thanks for all the help.

[Theme]newRUNNY_ICSTheme-B1[7/15/12]

ICS theme in progress for newRUNNY ROM only.
this isnt finished by any means but its a good start so far. me and one_love have been fiddling with for the last couple months. the sense weather wall paper force closes but if you turn off animations when you unlock your phone it seems to stop the force closes. honestly, im not going to look into it because i use fancy widgets and i probably wouldnt know how to fix it anyways. but here it is the ics theme with one_love_420's modified rosie (i have images i made for it, i have to find the folder then ill upload that too for different looks).

Yes the White Version was really Crisp and Clean looking.
It may be a long shot but could you update this to support infamous 2.2 or release a similiar theme for that?
Sent from my PG06100 using xda app-developers app
I used newRUNNY as the base for Legendary-Infamous so it may already work. Just be sure to do a nandroid before trying anything incase something goes wrong.
I was just worried the rosie wouldnt work. My current rom is actually your ported nrg rom then I removed sense myself and added a launcher similar to apex (the name escapes me but it was built to run on froyo n gingerbread) with all jellybean theming. I may reflash this just to see if it works.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Well after some thought i gave it a shot, then realized i needed to reflash to cwm, because twrp wont install this. After installing with cwm, it works... But, the rosie is changed, lots of other stuff just doesnt look right... Sticking with nrg and holo launcher for now, unless i take a stab at modding the sense rosie. I really like the htc apps, sense i could go either way with. Took me a while to find a good replacement for go launcher though, too many ads now...
Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk 2
Out of curiosity, why does some stuff not flash with cwm and some stuff not work with twrp? This theme doesnt work in twrp, and my gfs gs3 had cwm on it and her theme had built in downloadable mods, wouldnt flash w.o going to twrp..

Good news. I made a CM10 theme template.... I know theres like 3 or 4 templates floating around, but 2 of them don't work. And the others have the wrong size images... So, I created my own. I'll be posting it on here in a new post and on Rootz tomorrow
How do I install these thems one my pics vibrant
Sent from my SGH-T959 using xda premium
^^^ Well first of all you'd need to be running the ICZen rom. Which can be found on RootzWiki here... http://rootzwiki.com/index.php?/top...l-of-Zen-----7-12-12--[Deficient-Development]. However there is one issue. This theme is meant for ICZen 1.7, while the current version of ICZen is 1.8.5. That means this theme is incompatible with the latest ICZen and this theme would need to be updated to work properly. In other words, until it is updated, I suggest you don't install it... Unless you're running ICZen 1.7. In that case you'd simply reboot into recovery, go to install from SD card, locate the theme .zip, install it, reboot, and enjoy Annex's superb gold theme.
Although those aren't very detailed instructions, they should be enough for you to figure it out. Keep in mind that you install a theme just like any other flashable .zip. It's really a rather simple process.
