Hello,
Yesterday I tried to install the update 6.0.B.3.162 using Sony PC Companion, but while it was updating the electric power was turned off.
Now I have no operating system. When I turn on my Xperia P only appears the logo of Sony.
I tried to connect my phone to my computer using Flastool for reinstall the OS manually but don't recognized it.
What I can do?
Thank you very much!

Thanks for your answer. I tried to do that but it is not working.
After three vibrations the phone turns off. When I turn on appears the logo of Sony and no more.

It doesn't work, cause the guide is for phones with hardware buttons (2011 Xperias), You should hold Volume Down button while connecting yours phone - I'm writing it with my U already ICSed
And btw, if you are getting problems immediately after flashtool starts doing its job (especially during the flashing of partition-image.sin), open ftf with WinRAR etc. and delete partition-image.sin - it's not necessary for SW to work and probably it will solve all of your problems

Hi. When it asks to connect the phone, switch your phone off, press the volume down (-) button and connect the usb cable. Also be sure to install the flashtool drivers from the flashtool installation directory first

Yesterday i received an update to my ICS 4.1.B.0.587...
My phone is not rooted...
However everything goes well when i try to update it via sony pc companion as well as sony update centre..
But when it tells me to press and hold back button on my phone while inserting USB cable into my phone during update..i hold it for as long as 5 minutes but there is no update..
Why is it so ? Is anybody facing same sort of problem ?? kindly help me out with this..!!!
You don't need to hold it for 5 min lolz
Just hold that button and simultaneously insert USB cable to pc
And follow screen prompts!
Also wrong section mate! This is reserved for Development!
Someone using Pc
Just report it so that Mod can move it to general section!

not a really big one. this is because of you've installed cwm that has replaced off-charging boot
to solve just reflash ur rom, or if u want press & hold power after sony logo disappears (to power on ur phone).

Search xda for cwm offline charge. In ray forum there was a solution for that, but only if you can power on the phone

Just use this, there's no need to reflash the rom. Just replace them as explained in the thread
Hi folks
Here is how to root any 2011 Xperia running any of the 4.1.B.0.587 4.1.B.0.431 / 4.1.A.0.562 and 4.0.2.A.0.62 firmware . No need to downgrade kernels or anything, just root it straight away
Rooting
Go to settings > Security > Mark "Unknown sources"
Settings > Developer options > Mark USB debugging
Settings > Xperia > connectivity > USB connection mode > select MSC mode
PC Companion installed on your PC.
1) Connect your phone to PC ( IMPORTANT > Skip PC Companion installation pop up on your phone.) and wait for the adb drivers to be installed. If these drivers don't get installed, phone would not be detected by Eroot.
Make sure nothing else ( specially flashtool ) is running on your PC in the background.
2) Download this rooting toolkit. Google Drive /// MediaFire /// 4-Shared and run it. If any downloading starts, cancel it by clicking the green button. Don't let the eroot download anything.
It should now detect your phone and show an option to "-root". Just click on it, wait till it finishes
3)Rooting done ( For confirmation see if any Super User app has been installed )
4) If by chance it fails for the first time, give it another go. it won't harm your phone in any way. If you still face problem, click on show content below
Go to your C:/ Drive / User/Username/AppData/Roaming/ folder and delete the eRoot folder.
If it says cannot be deleted then open up task manager on your PC and kill bec.exe . Then delete eroot folder.
Still not working ? used the archived method to root 2011 Xperia here below the animated Xperia picture.

Well rooting shouldn't wipe user data....but still make sure you have any kind of backup incase it does format!

Hi. I have the same problem with Xperia Tablet S (sorry I know - wrong forum).
Did you find any solution by flashing with SD card or so ???
I can't find the firmware for Android 4.1.1 for the tablet.
Thanx.
It didn't boot with keys, so SD is not useful.
