So I am running cleanrom 1.7 on the rezound and i have a jvc kw-xr810 car stereo. Now the question is to display the audio via Bluetooth on my jvc unit from my rezound, I need the rom to support avrcp 1.3. I understand cm7/9 have this included, which indeed works, because my touchpad with cm9 works great with it! So is there a solution to this?

I own a Sony MW600 that I used to connect to a SonyEricsson Android 1.6. recently I upgraded to the HTC Desire Z (A2.2) and what a surprise to realize that even if some information are sent the name of the caller or the title of the song played are not sent to the receiver.
It seems this problem is due to the fact that Google downgraded the version of the AVRCP in 2.X to 1.0 while it was 1.3 in A1.6
Is there a way to create a custom ROM or include in the CM Roms the latest version of the AVRCP libraries to allow full data exchange between bluetooth devices (like a remote, a watch, a car stereo...)

Does anyone has an idea how to install the newer AVRCP version?

Has anyone tried this with the Note? I'm running the latest ICS Objection. I already pair my phone with my audio deck (a2dp and headset) and I'm wondering if I should also be able to pair to the Cobra iRadar at the same time? Thoughts?
Apparently AVRCP 1.3 support doesn't come with the stock ROM? Our 2012 Prius IV can stream audio just fine, but it doesn't have artist/album/track info, and you can't use the touch screen to pick different music / browse through music.
From my research this means that the EVO 4G LTE must not have AVRCP 1.3 enabled by default.
Is there anything I can do? Do any of the ROM's available now make this happen? Am I just missing a setting somewhere?

The only ROM I know of that supports AVRCP 1.3 (Metadata) is CM9. So once we get a solid port of that it would be worth checking into.

I've read that CM9 has implemented this profile into the ROM. I'm now using a stock based rom (jellysandwich 6.2.5) and I would like to know if it's possible to implement the avrcp 1.3 protocol into that rom.
Does anyone know this?

I've been making tests and I managed to have AVRCP 1.3 protocol into a modified stock rom (Gin2Jellybean), you can check the version of AVRCP in the console. But it seems that there must be tweaked something more because I can see AVRCP 1.3 but the apps cannot send any track information (I'm using PowerAMP which supports it). It seems that nobody here is able to achieve this..

I did a search, and it seems all the CM10/CM9 variants do HDMI video, but no audio (which I need).
I don't care about working data, just need wi-fi.

i have the same issue as you, i tried sotmax but it doesn't work
i think it could be kernel related...
you can still get audio out of the 3.5, and any monitor/TV that actually has decent speakers has an external audio input for one of the HDMI ports anyway.
if you absolutely MUST have audio over the HDMI connection and ICS/JB, just get one of these http://www.cypeurope.com/Audience/AU-11CA-HDMI-Audio-Embedder-with-built-in-Repeater.html and a 3.5mm to stereo RCA cable. done and done.
