Today i was flashing my device with mobile odin and also i did it on pc ...while flashing both mobile and pc version of odin gives me error ...that md5 sum ...verification failed ...
I thought there are some problem with the .tra file...
But ...But...But
Here comes the story...after all those things again i started flashing it via mobile odin but this time i skipped md5 sum check...and all things done perfectly ....
So any idea what...is wrong with...rom package ...it still saying md5 sum verification failed ...flashing aborted ...???
Thanks...
Sam
And sorry for my bad English....

Really you want explanation?
It means the md5 checksum doesn't match. You should not be using the file, yes it doesn't matter now, but for future flashing re download the file
As what atifsh said, you shouldn't have flashed it since md5sum was a mismatch. You should've downloaded it again because some of the files or something might be missing.

I downloaded one of the leaked custom roms of LSJ (Simplistic and Wanamlite). I flashed it, but the problem is it gets stuck with the boot logo. What seems to be the problem here? I have wiped everything. From data to cache. I came from CM10 nightlies, dorimanx kernel.
All replies will be much appreciated.
I believe the mask might be the problem because jb is new file structure. It may strip all mods from your phone.
Yu may have to wait until the offical version has been out for a while before flashing it.

Quite a possibility that the file you have download it may be corrupted so download it once again and check the md5 checksum and then flash it.. Also don't forget to wipe data and cache partition

The file was not corrupt because if it was corrupt, I cannot open it via winrar. Quite strange. I have also did a full wipe in data and cache.
Thank you for your response.

Download this cwm zip http://download.chainfire.eu/267/SuperSU/CWM-SuperSU-v0.97.zip after you download it. Rename it to update.zip, place it to your external sd, reboot to recovery(volume up,home button, power button)wait until you see the greendroid, flash update external storage. Reboot!and your rooted. you can now flash http://www.mediafire.com/?cjf1znoisrwafjdphils kernel for better instability flash it via odin just add it to pda.

Your script is checking for a different device in your build.prop add a safety precaution.
You need to edit it to church for this device.

Ok so I plan on rooting my phone tomorrow and I have a few quick questions.
1. I downloaded all the files needed and im wondering do I need to unzip them, and by that I mean odin and motochopper.
2. Should I run a md5 checker on the kernels I downloaded?
3. This pertains to the md5. My kernel files say .tar.tar not .tar.md5 how do I fix this?? This got me when I tried to root my s3 and bricked it. Ive got a few pics to show.
Thanks.

I hear sometimes the all in one may lock up. I'll just play it safe and do it manually. Follow this guide and redownload the files if unsure.

Hi guys, i'm trying to restore my S3 to stock so I can sell it, however after trying to use Odin around 5 times to install stock frimware, I either end up in a boot loop or constant boot-up. I've tried 3 different versions of Odin and still no luck. It passes every time.
Any idea's anyone? I did notice I only ever have one file to put into Odin, which is a PDA compatible file, none of the others. I'm not sure if this is just due to bad downloads or what.
Any ideas anyone?

Not entirely sure what you're trying to do but you should be able to find that pretty quick.
http://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-80200/
If it's not in there then you can Google it.
Not hard to find.
And I don't think it's a good idea.
Odin should fix you no problem.

What happens when you flash with Odin?
Fails?
if so have you flashed with Odin using the PIT file?
This is needed in order to repartition the device due to the botched recovery install i believe.
After it gets pass "aboot" it says fail " auth"

Odin should work.
I have had problems with cables, usb ports and had to use the PIT file before also.
do you have another pc you can try as well?
Try a new cable using the pit file or a different pc. These make all the difference

Another good quality usb cable?
I've recently had to get a new one bc my original cable doesn't work with Odin anymore
It would always stop at hidden partition then eventually get worse stopping at earlier partitions.
