Silverlight

god morning i'm italian...i have a gs2 with 4.0.3 stock with root...is possible install Silverlight on my galaxy?or a browser that support it?i need to see Premium play programs and Rai web programs...thank you...
No, won't work. And it seems development has stopped on Moonlight so you're probably unlikely to see a version capable of running on an Android phone anytime soon (tho it was demonstrated on Android tablets running Honeycomb ~18 mths ago).
Edit - Slight correction: Apparently it was also demoed on the Nexus S. But it seems it only worked on some Honeycomb devices.

Real Ubuntu (12.04) on Atrix.

I have my Atrix now 1month and searched for a option to flash real ubuntu to our Atrix. I saw videos, threads, mods and many many more but there is no real Ubuntu on the Atrix.
Video how i want to use my Atrix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6eEDZva1W8 (Yeah i know Atrix 2 but there is no real differents to our normal Atrix?)
Nexus 7: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Nexus7/Installation
AC100 (Tegra 2): https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ARM/TEGRA/AC100
I know we need many skilled Devs but i think its possible and would make better use of our Atrix then a webtop 3.0 or normal webtop. I just want to say i want to install my programms (example: Chromium) out of the applications market like the real ubuntu.
What are u guys thinking ? Is it worth to have such "dreams" for our Atrix or is it just hopless that i should just forget it?
Have u ever tried this?

I installed it yesterday, and i'm not mastering it, but it's way better than normal webtop.

Sadly yes. But its not better then other webtop mods. After installinge and setting up it really is the same. Watch the first links from my post and u can see its really works with the latest Ubuntu version with Chromium.
Well a few things.
A) The atrix 2 is quite a bit different from the atrix one
B) saying that it would quite likely be possible to port however there is no source for the Ubuntu for android set up.
C) The nexus 7 is a native set up and would require a lot of changes to be ported to other devices just like all the other native ports.
D) I plan when I have the time to look at improving on the current web top versions of Linux, and of cause always improving our current chroot based method

Okay thanks for the reply. So that means it is only make able with the perfect source? The AC100 is a tegra device its not possible to modifie it?
About the Webtop mods I use some but I can't even use some cheap programs that's my only problem.
Thanks for some great information.

[Q] Navman S50

Hi all.
I have a old stand-alone GPS system with old maps and WinCE 5.0 on it, a Navman S50. I have being searching around and have found a unlocker which enables me to boot my unit into the OS which is cool. But what I'd really like to know is, would it be possible to get android running on this device with the hardware it has? http://gadgets.softpedia.com/gadgets/GPS-RFID/The-Navman-S50-GPS-Navigation-System-6573.html Scrolling to about half way down this page it has the tech specs. If it is possible, and since I know nothing about building android or porting it, would anyone know how to get android running on this?

[Q] Running Android on DevKit8000 ?

Hello.
I've recently begun a school project where we're able to use the DevKit8000, and since it runs Linux, i thought about putting Android on it instead and using self built apps with it.
I've tried to google around a bit, but haven't found confirmation that it can work all that well (found a video with a ICS port that was SUUUUPER laggy), so i'm hoping someone here on this great forum could help me out
Optimally i'd like the highest version of Android that can run semi well, so perhaps 2.1 if i'm lucky? Maybe only 1.6 though..

XBMC on android

Well I got excited when I saw XBMC on android a week ago and I know its been out for awhile but it does not load on my Google TV (Sony GSZ-GT1) surprise surprise. Nothing ever loads on this.
My question is though, I see that it works on almost any android that is above 4.0. I was thinking about buying a little cheap android stick from my Chinese friends over at DX but was curious if anyone saw an issue as to why it wouldn't run on a generic device? The device I am looking at is 4.2.2 so it should run without questions right?
