Hello,
the playstore does not show many apps... for example: when I look at the games categorie -successful- (in german under -Erfolgreichste-) it just shows 8 apps/games. It is similar in all other categories. In the settings I have set to show all apps.
I do not know since when this problem exists, but I know that it was different...
I have the Archos 80 g9 with the new rooted firmware from Surdu.

You will need to edit your build.prop to make the play store think you have a different device. Search this forum and you will find something
hmm, ok.
I tried this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1528899
But it did not work. After restart the screen was black after the first ARCHOS screen and no boot. I had to reinstall firmwares.
maybe try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=25063634&postcount=12
Tried it, but does not work.

Have you changed your dpi?
Sent from my ARCHOS 80G9 using XDA Premium HD app
Yes, I played around with LCDDensity... Now it is set to 140.
Is this the problem? Which settings should I use? I do not know what was default.

There's your issue. You either need to change it back or get a nodded market. I use a nodded one, from the app "LCD Density Modder Pro", which is a paid app

Hi there.
I bought 9mm some days ago and it works great. I had to reinstall my SGS2 and now I can't install 9mm anymore, it says with the market web ui that the app is not compatible. Any idea ?
Have you changed your phone's DPI?

No idea how to solve this issue ?
I flash the #119 CM nightly and I found a few more apps (Paper camera, GTA3) but still no 9mm. That's better
So wanted to make a thread where we can post applications that are built for tablets and work with CM7. I haven't been able to find any but please post them here if you have any.

If it is a tablet application for Honeycomb, you will not get it to work.

thats 100% correct, GB and HC have different API's, so tablet apps arent gonna happen till ICS releases and devs update apps with new APIs
What browser are you guys using? I'm using dolphin and although great on my phone I feel its lacking things for the tablet .. any way to get the tablet dolphin version? Or is there a better browser?
Set the screen density to 160 and a lot more apps will work from the android market.

An app called lcddenisty for root in the app market, set the density to 160 and reboot.

The yahoo fantasy one works great.

As the title says, I need if its possible to a way to spoof you phones DPI.
Mainly I need it for the market because I'm sick and tired of being told that my DPI is not supported when in fact the app works fine....
Thanks in advance.

Change it in your Build.prop inside the system folder. this is with me assuming the DPI is the same as lcd density inside the build.prop. I do know if you change it on my hone to something not stock you get told no on some apps in the market.
Changing that could work but it makes my phone unusable because the UI is huge.

i have a similar issue. i have an sgs2 and use lcddensity to increase from 240 to 160 but apps on market say they won't work. i either reboot back to normal dpi, install, then reboot via lcddensity to the desired dpi - or download the apk manually and sideload it.
would be nice to get around this and just lie to the market app what the res is
Bump?

Maybe a advanced dev knows but would it be possible to decompile the market app, look for the bit that tells it where to look for build.prop and change it to look for lets say market build.prop, compile it, resign it then install with a lets say galaxy nexus build.prop?
I can't test this as I don't have a PC at home

Most apps are built for HDPI devices and up, the Wildfire is a low end MDPI device and most apps won't be compatible. It may seem to run fine if you alveolar the apk but Android has to force the application to work on your device. As for the Galaxy Nexus, the new 720p screen in Android is fairly new, and Market doesn't know much about the new resolution and will show apps as unsupported. The dev just has to make a quick update. That, or sideload.
Like the title says. Changed from 320 to 280. Now I can't get access to all apps.

I can't say for sure on the note, but I had a similar problem with my NookColor after changing dpi. You may want to try one of the "standard" dpi's like 240. Apply and reboot. May have to clean the market (Google play store) cash too.
Sent from my NookColor using Tapatalk 2
There are a few roms that have the multidpi fix especially if useful if you are running tablet mode.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I717 using XDA
I am having the same problem as well. Currently still looking for a fix to this problem as I am not able to have access to all my applications. I'm pretty sure, as of now, the only ROM that has the DPI-FIX implemented into it, is the hybrid_rc_IV. but i'm not running that rom...any help would be appreciated also!
yes this works for the note, install then goto fix marketplace and it will download the market and the framework and install, then reboot, u can even change the density also, this works for me. u need to move to ur sdcard and install using a file explorer and make sure under settings->Security and unknown sources is checked so u can install the apk.
download: LCD Density Modder Pro.apk
Yes
There is a way you can change it. Theres a couple of apps, but some of them do not work. And will cause you to re-flash your rom if your phone is rooted!

I don't have a sgs3 yet, still waiting. But I know when I got my ICS tablet, there were a bunch of apps I had on my Gingerbread phone, that were not available on ICS. Many of those apps were subsequently updated to be compatible with ICS and then were available in the Play store on my ICS tablet. I can't speak to those specific apps you mention.

Try changing it to 320 with the build prop editor - seems there is a bug in build prop tweaks which doesn't let you return to stock density values.
Failing that, reflash with full wipe.
Should sort it.
