Good day everyone!
I hope that DEV's alot some time for my request.
My request is all about the android keyboard's missing feature that enables you to switch Smiley key into "Next key" or Enter key.
I look all over the forums and I found a modded ICS android keyboard, BUT its intended for NEXUS. I also want to ask if its possible for my ace to use this modded keyboard. Thanks!
why don't you use swype ?? It's better and is upto your requirements also

This doesn't help him at all.
Try digging the APK from the CyanogenMod ROMs.. It has Android AOSP Gingerbread Keyboard

Would you mind if i ask 1 more thing? How can u make it as a SYSTEM App?? I also can't seem to find the keyboard app in my lewa rom, because I have read in some posts that you can overwrite the system app with your desired app then just change the Permission.

Use root explorer to paste the apk file in /system/app folder.. Then long press the apk, go to permissions, change it to rw-r--r-- and then reboot

Could someone please upload(/give me the link to) the default keypad (Keyboard App) that comes with Samsung phones [AxT9IME.apk]? I had it on Froyo and I recently upgraded my phone (I5801) to CM7 (2.3.5). And now I terribly miss it!

Here's the one from the Epic 4G. It's possible that it's device locked, but I'm not sure. It'll probably work if you edit your phone's build.prop.

You should try to push it to your system/app before giving up. Although it may require twframework or it's device locked (as stated, build.prop edit may be necessary).

I too am looking for this old style Samsung Keyboard. I prefer it cause the keys are bigger and used to the layout.

I have replaced the old keyboard apk and add it to the system.
it clears.
I move a 3x4 keyboard apk from samsung official rom android 2.3.x firmware into the system I use, I use a custom rom. and was successfully

Hello I also would like the keyboard as the handwriting recognition part has a line to write on and it looks better to me . Tried to install it but it said it was corrupt. Pls help . Am using a Samsung Note 5. Thanks

If any one want touchwiz launcher for cm7
download attachmant
put touchwiz30launcher.apk in system/app/
twframwork-res.apk in systen/framwork/
and libglcanvas.so in system/lib/
and give permission rw-r-r to all
and reboot
may this many thing is not required
and only app can do but i not want to take chance so i changed all this thing and after reboot touchwiz launcher work !!!
I gave here transparent touchwiz launcher which work for me
if you want black one than extract any rom you downloaded and try that launcher

Just fill name and apn only and in authentication choose none and keep as it is other things

Here I am providing the Enter key Enabled Stock Keyboard...
Hope It helps many people out here.....
Steps To Install:
Download the below attached apk file......
Delete the mms.apk in /system/app using ROOT EXPLORER(also mms.odex if on Odexed CM7)
place the Mms.apk file in /system/app
change the permission of it to rw-r-r-- ....
that's it .....Reboot and Enjoy.......
NOTE : After reboot..open the messaging app and then goto.....Settings>extra settings>untick the option saying "send on enter"......NJOY..

Stock CM7 MMS app don't have a 160 characters Polish support.
In Froyo Samsung mms.apk was function to change Unicode alphabet to GSM alphabet. Without that I have only 70 characters in sms.
It is a possibility to add that function?
I want to say that I'm not only person which miss that option/function.
Can you add it?

Use Handcent SMS or other apk. I'm using HC SMS, it have support for polish characters

The best way is port TouchWizz mms app to cm7

This is the mms file from Kyorarom 0.5.0
the newer 0.5.1 version is nice too (without smily key) but the old one looked very nice, except for that irritating smily.
Edit: I just saw my mms.apk also has another problem. It does not show the Recent - Contacts - Groups options while in the compose mode. Can you enable that too? it's ok if you don't have time. Thanks

I got tired of seeing the white and grey keyboard and didnt wanna use the Gingerbread keyboard cause of the small buttons. So I themed the stock one a little bit. Thought I would share it with the community.
Using root explorer, copy to /system/app. Change permissions to rw-r-r, reboot to xrecovery, clear cache and dalvik cache, Reboot, Enjoy

added odexed version - not a flashable zip. Use same method from above

Change the name of it to the name of your keyboard before you move it and it will over write.

try deleting LatinIME.odex
Edit: don't have to rename the textinput-tng to the existing keyboard since the package name is different anyway... (?)
Oh he is using an odexed rom. I dont why I didnt think of that. Ok I will odex this apk and post it as well for anyone using odexed ROMs.

Well most phones already have the stock Eclair keyboard or GIngerbread keyboard. My rom is Gingerbread 2.3.7. So I know this will work if anyone already has either keyboard in their ROM. Ive swapped around to all three keyboards. All worked. and I know the icons are hdpi. They look a lot better on my phone then mdpi. And they get resized by android anyways. I left the characters bigger so they can be seen better. Only notice two characters that hang over a litte bit. Neither causes any issues though. BUT, I guess I could change the icons to mdpi and resize the characters if anyone wants it done.

Can you make some glasses? I mean transparent 75% maybe.
I will definitely try. I been thinking about a transparent one for a few days now. Cant find icons for it. So I will have to make or convert some. Might take me a day or so but I will get it done

Shows up as "com.google.android.inputmethod.latin" in TB on my phone. Uninstalled it and all is good.

Looks the same to me. If this one stays in the market (unlike the last), that might be a better option for people who want it via .apk and not via flashing.

If you already have LatinIME or GoogleLatinIME you may have to delete it and move the new one and fix permissions and reboot.

I think we was talking about 4.2 Keyboard, this is not a question about my setup (i put my config parameters for help to understand my situation), this is a question about the android 4.2 keyboard, I told about the xperia S if one has an idea about it, but if that's any inconvenience, sorry for the question if inappropiate.
