Bugs??:
KNOWN ISSUES:
Videocamera : Use VideoCam Illusion
Slight Lag possible on screen transitions
USB tether
The graphics related issues are due to not having proper drivers to use for this. Don't ask for an ETA on a fix. Moto won't be giving us the drivers, so there is no fix
If you need to report a NEW bug, report it once, and the next TWO people VERIFY it. I don't need everyone reporting same bug 20 times. I you can, provide me the following information:
Version you're using
What type of fwipe you did and what ROM you came from
Have you restored any data from something like Titanium Backup
What app is misbehaving and what you were doing when it started
Logcats<--THIS IS PREFERRED.
If you don't know how to logcat, go HERE and learn. This really nice guy took the time to write out a good how to
When you have a LOGCAT and would like to post it, please go to pastebin and post it in there, then LINK that location in this thread...I don't want to see them posted directly in here.

Cool!! Good stuff and loving the MIUI for the Photon!!
Any links or anyplace I can look up info, explaining each item/option we have to choose from in the custom install. I know a few of the apps are a no brainier but some of the other options I click blindly and still have no clue what exactly they do nor the benefit.

Also.....the links you provided for download do not have 2.5.25. I know you just made the OP, maybe they are uploading as I speak. Only place i saw and received 2.5.25 was jokersax. < Will delete to dismiss confusion when I see 2.5.25 up as listed.

I am updating the other info in post 2. MIUI.us asked me to make a thread with a standardized OP. I would love to keep my official status, so I obliged

Looks pretty cool to me..Thanks for your contribution .

Thanks TheBill!!! All of your work is very much appreciated and you have more than proven yourself to be a high value asset to XDA as well as to all of us wannabes in the MOPHO and Android community!!

Nice, big thanks.. I loved using MIUI when I had my OG Evo, its running like a champ on the Photon.

[ROM][PORT][UNOFFICIAL]Alien Build #4 X2-BETA **WIFI FIXED[UPDATED 9-23-11]

By popular demand I have ported over Alien build #4 to the X2.
Thanks to navenedrob to make the porting possible (and helping me some) and to kennethpenn for making the ROM in the first place!
ALIEN BUILD #4 X2-BETA NOW WITH WIFI FIX!
This ROM is 99% kennethpenn's over on the ATRIX 4G forums, this is merely a port of his ROM with some tweaks to make it run on the X2. Please support him and thank him for creating this ROM.
There are two flashable zips included. One is the actual ROM and the other is the THEME that extends the ROM to it's full glory. (Personally, I recommend using both). Without the theme, you basically have a really fast BLUR (yeah didn't think it existed either). With the theme you can have some of the updates listed below.
You MUST flash the actual ROM. The THEME is optional.
FEATURES:
This is a list of features available over at the ROM's initial forum, but slightly tweaked.
Code:
-Rooted
-Deodexed
-Busybox'd
-SQLite3
-PNG Optimized
-Zipaligned (system and data apps)
-Sideloading default
-SIP not WiFi only [COLOR="Red"](SEE BUGS BELOW)[/COLOR]
-Tethering
-Some bloat removed
-Skip blur setup option (SEE BELOW)
-1080p Droid 3 camera [COLOR="Red"]NO 1080p[/COLOR]
-WidgetPicker
-Battery fix
-Network select menu open [COLOR="Red"](SEE BUGS BELOW)[/COLOR]
-APN menu opened
-Menu button lockscreen bypass (when unsecured)
-Touchscreen MOD (5 fingers)
-Google Talk video over 3G
-AGPS option
-Entitlement check disabled
-Dock Settings
-HDMI Settings
-Full IMEI Settings
-Modded stock Android Launcher for speed and Blur widget compatibility
-Inverted applications and Settings
-FuguTweaks
-Juwe11 optimizations (modded for Atrix) [COLOR="Red"](not sure if this works on the X2)[/COLOR]
-Superuser Beta
-Proximity sensor hack on build.prop
-GPU hack on build.prop
-WiFi battery saving hack on build.prop
-Google Android 2.3.5 application framework
-Videos for root app
For a full features list and more information please head over to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186537 where the ATRIX ROM is at. (Please note that there are a few changes and bugs listed below.)
FIXES FOR THE X2:
added 2nd-init to make it work (duh)
added camera/camcorder support
Swype updated from stock GB to work on ROM
ERI Banner updated for Verizon's Network
Initial BLUR Setup Skip (when on the theme, you can just select "Launcher" upon initial setup to bypass entirely, else you get only an accounts setup on non-themed)
Updated system model numbers, etc. for X2
KNOWN ISSUES (in order of priority):
Some Apps (Especially Google Apps) do not show up in market and are "incompatible"
Camera/Camcorder app randomly crashes (not all the time) upon switching between 6MP Widescreen and 8MP and won't startup again. You must delete /data/data/com.motorola.Camera and it should be fixed. But might happen again.
Mobile networks setting crashes com.android.phone (i might just remove the option later)
THEME has a framework-res problem that doesn't change the background of some menu lists to black and it's text to white while working on others (SEE THE LAST IMAGE)
On non themed version, 3G shows up as HPSA
com.google.talk crashes on boot (maybe only on 1st boot)
Please post more if you find any!
OTHER TODOS:
include recovery by default
remove webtop apps/settings
remove more BLUR **
add more AOSP **
** NOTE: This is whether or not I find it a big deal. Most apps that can be removed/replaced on the X2 will be fine on this ROM.

To be honest, I don't know. The build.prop tells it to include the 1080p, but I can't seem to get it to unlock it (if we even can).

Hmm well either way 720 is still fine. Do you think the hardware on this phone should be able to record 720 @ 60fps?
Thank you for this port. I won't flash until some of the bugs are fixed and it's more polished, but if you intend to put the work into this, I plan on this being my main ROM.
Will definitely be trying this soon.

There are some things that I cannot test simply because I am not in the situation that require them. I don't need or use an exchange server, therefore I don't have one to test with. But any help getting this ROM up and knowing what works and doesn't would be helpful.

I believe there is something wrong with the build.prop....I cannot find google plus in the market, and on the web market it says not compatible with device.

Full Size Screenshots here.
Hello! This my ROM UR/EVO 4G LTE (pronounced: 'Your EVO' (or 'You Are EVO' if you like that). ROM 'creation' is definitely a new thing to me. Please be gentle. This ROM is different than other's that you've seen. It does have a few "Unique" things that differentiate it from others.
Based on the 2.13.651.1 OTA.
Video!
Huge thank you to wwjoshdew for doing a First Look video of the R2 version of the ROM! Make sure to check it out!
So, what is the aim of this ROM?
Create a VERY light (small) ROM that allows for YOU to customize it (make this the way you want it; not the way I want it).
Keep the ROM <400MB.
Apps take up just two pages in the app drawer.
ADB Anywhere. Included inside the package is my customized ADB/Fastboot "virtual CD." Plug the phone in to see what I'm talking about.
By stripping out all of the "extra" Sense apps, the size of the ROM goes down a lot. The memory footprint also should go down quite a bit.

Thank you! The remap menu mod should not do anything to the tweaks in the ROM. Full disclosure, I can't say for sure though. The one that it might touch is the auto-brightness values (I might have that wrong...). That shouldn't be a huge problem. If you can link me to the files, I'll go ahead and test it for you. It may be runandhide05's mod here.

Thanks. Humm... The pictures not showing is something I've noticed with the new XDA 2013 Theme (I've been testing it longer than the full rollout). I thought it was just me. If you select XDA 2010 from the theme dropdown at the bottom of the page, they should display fine. Then, you can switch back after you are done.
Honestly, I have just added the ro.tether.denied=false to my build.prop. I haven't actually tested it. You might try this here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28555834&postcount=111). I'm sorry.

At least I feel better using this name. A lot of times I would post and then after a while, people would go... OH! I didn't realize you were wwjoshdew. lol. I created this account around the time that I was starting to use my global username. Back when I had a PPC 6700 windows mobile "Smart Phone".

I'm gonna give this rom a go while I wait for venom to come out. I like the idea of a debloated rom that still has rosie. By the way does this have 4 in 1 reboot menu?

Sweet, gonna try it out now!!
Thanks guys.
I hope (with a little help) camera and 3g won't be broken very long. What I really need now is someone I could lean on to help me get this thing back to at least the same functionality of the base ROM.
You crazy mad scientist....
This looks very interesting and frightening!!
Can't wait!

Well, not only 3g but I broke mobile network period. I had it earlier today but it was when I was on another version. I've been working on this all day so I'm done for tonight but I'll look into mobile network first, then camera.
This has a lot of potential! I want to try it, but I'll wait till camera and data is working. Thanks for bringing this to the 3d!
Downloading now...I'll flash and see if I can't take a look at cam for you.

that would be great! I'm trying to find why I've lost data. Do you know if that is controlled in the framework, because i've narrowed it down to there but every file size in system/framework is different than in the base, so I'm looking at some time and trial & error to find the problem unless I get a hint on where to start
I would guess camera problem is in there too...

What did you change in between the versions that potentially killed cam and 3g?
Kinda cool!
Flashed fine for me. Did 4EXT wipe all partitions except SD and flashed the ROM only. The gapps were already there.
Tablet mode for the home screen is a little strange with the status bar at the bottom and the app drawer icon at the top, but I guess that's the way it's supposed to be. My tablet is still running HoneyComb so I'm not familiar with ICS on a tablet.
Definitely has promise and can add some sizzle to Devil Toast if you can work out the remaining problems.

Apearantly left out some stuff from the build.prop. Mobiledata/3g is working now. Camera still won't start but it hasn't worked for me yet so hopefully digital can help with that.

I know right? I was going to quit hours ago but I just couldn't. I wanted to at least get data working. now I can go to bed, lol.
Chrome Beta is working in .41, and I guess Wifi Tether just doesn't work as a system app because it's working fine as user app.

I have been told this may be a kernel issue...for now you can find the file you want and choose player option from the pop-up toast as you open the file and it will work.It appears that in his haste to release this for us Taimur may have inadvertantly posted the changelog for his I9100 version. Look for an update to that soon. What's "written" in the OP outside of the change log is more accurate kernel/recovery wise.
Gallery seems to be missing lol

Yes Xam, he removed the gallery. You'll have to install a third party app. Also to the developer, it says in the OP there are screen shots in the second post. But there's no screen shots. Just a heads up.

Oh alright, if it's the official MIUI kernel then it should be great. I just see "CM" in the kernel title and assume it's slow lol. Haven't had very performance oriented experiences with CM kernel in the past. Appreciate the port and smart thinking. I'll be daily driving this probably for the next month or so unless I encounter problems. Looking forward to updates

Mines been working fine! I actually have had from what I can tell, better than average battery life. Haven't been on a MIUI rom since mid-ICS but the battery life definitely seems better. I'd say it's at least no par with TW roms so far. I didn't have to do any tweaks or anything though, so might've been a janky install for you. Not sure.
I'll admit, I'm very picky when it comes to performance, but I have noticed a few situations where the UI will lag (quick scrolling, animation following quick scroll, etc.) but it's probably cus of the early development. Whenever STI Kernel updates to include this (if it does - I'm assuming he will) I'll flash that, and it'll probably help with those situations. It's nothing that annoys me so far

Hahah you're pickier than me man. V4 pissed me off too much for me to go back to it. It took them literally until the end of it's development to get it from being irritable. Performance was so bad in terms of general fluidity. It was probably because it was built on Samsung base for the first time, I'm assuming. cMIUI was the only bearable V4 I had found. Although Asnet is pretty good now, but now V5 is out lol.
I'm gonna try the Deutsch/English build again (Remove all the bloat that guy put in....like 20 apps). The english in this version is very crudely done. Voice assistant is still chinese, various things in chinese, my texts on lock screen are European time format, etc. German/English one has better english/formatting. Do you mind uploading the kernel you used for this?

You're talking bout the notch in the top left corner? Seems good enough to me. Try taking off "rounded corners" which is under developer settings.

I just realized that turning off rounded corners only works for certain things like the home screen status bar, and apps like facebook, etc. It does not change the settings menu, or messaging, etc. So you might have to deal with the weird looking dpi. Or stick with default
