Sorry I don't use apktool or any decompile etc etc. I use Winrar and gimp. This is not totally my work. Pulled from foreign rom. I've only made minor changes to it. Don't ask for original source as I won't promote Roms from external websites.

Yeah i can see, missed the "share" and thought that you compiled it yourself thanks

Hello all. =)
I'm having a bit of trouble trying to create an update.zip using the Android Kitchen, I can create one, the problem is it doesn't work. I've created a working folder from the system.img and a blank boot.img file I created with notepad, no errors, I've changed the wipe status to wipe with no errors.
But when I go to create the ROM using 99 I get...

}
So when I install it it says it's installed ok when I reboot it's bricking the phone so I have to do a full reflash because it's obviously set to wipe so xRecovery no longer works.
What am I missing?
Anyone help?

No problem, I don't like pming the devs as I'm sure they have enough to do, but know there are one or two other members that might know what I'm doing wrong or could provide suggestions.
Hey XperiaX10iuser I was fooling around the Android Market and I found an application capable of build update.zip files from within the phone... it's named zipthemer and below you'll find a link to the official XDA thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888171
Probably you'll find it useful since most of your work is related to themes...
Cheers.

Hi there,
Terribly n00bish question, I am aware of this, but I couldn't find anything around.
How hard would it be to port the stock GB theme to the Arc? I love it to bits but the blue app background kinda ruins having any theme other than a blue one, and looks messier than the normal black background.
I know I'm being picky but it seems something that may go down well. Even better would be a port of the blue GB themes so you have the clean look of GB but consistency with the SE apps.
I'm pathetic at Android development so I will gladly help in any way I can, but as it is, I'm hopeless at it so doing it myself is a lost cause >.<
Read here...
Talking about stock theme,
Also has anyone noticed that the connection does not change color when IE: from white to green, when connected to google services,
After all this is gingerbread
Also anyone tried this yet

Did you only change that battery ?
Did you upload your framework-res.apk or another file ?
Also how did you flash it, or did you just replace the framework-res.apk in /system/app/
Questions i know, but dont really fancy a boot loop lol
Is it possible to use this to build up a stock theme or is it only certain mods that it can do?
Well...if its something I (and many people) dont like of MIUI its that there is no appdrawer.
The solution all give me its to put all the apps in a folder and use it like a drawer...but its not the solution for me.

I wonder if someone can edit the launcher1.apk to do this:
This:
Or maybe this:
I cant decompile the apk...so I cant do nothing...please help me....
As far as I know all MIUI code is closed source therefore I'm afraid it's not possible to decompile and make it work. I'm also one of those guys which miss the app drawer, that's why I've installed a different launcher (ADW).

It's evolving rapidly - another new version out today - so might be worth trying again. It works great on my HTC Desire, first open takes about about 3 seconds, after that it's instantaneous. And you can just drag and drop it onto the dock. It's what makes MIUI work for me.
hello everyone.

This isn't "Answers R Us". You asked a "different" question (which is good in a away), compared to the same 10 or so questions we normally get in I9100 Q&A from n00bs who can't read.
Be patient, I'm sure someone will come up with answer sooner or later
Its quite possible that apktool doesn't work correctly on ics yet.
Also, are you trying to apply a gingerbread mod onto a ics framework.

Hello,
I'm trying to edit SystemUI.apk. After some problems with decompiling I finally did it. I've changed the things I wanted and now I can't get it compiled.
That's an error I get:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I attach decompiled SystemUI.apk and already modded but not compiled SystemUI.apk.
Could You please try to help me, try to compile it or give any hint?
Not decompiled and not modded SystemUI.apk
Decompiled SystemUI.apk. Just unpack it with WinRar << That's what I want to compile
PS. This even happens when I want to compile unmodded .apk
Ha ha , same happened me many times (it was on Linux, but same issuses).
I happens if you try to mod any part of SE apps. They are build around specific framework and if you include it for apktool, it simply doesnt work or mostly causes this huge crash.
Tried a lot of mods,few others frameworks and nothing helped. Still want to find a solution, because I worked on stock launcher to support landscape and with other icons layout....
