Guys i have researched all topics,words,ideas,thoughts,views but nothing helped me to get rooted my xperia neo.
İ m using flash tool to root but it does not work as well im really sad,helpless,hopeless,sad no word express my thoughts right now plzz help me in this painful process to root my phone.
My phone:Sony ericsson xperia neo MT15i
2.3.4
4.0.2.A.0.62
i have heard that in order to root my phone i must downgrade and make older versions but i dont even make up.
Plzz inform me on this issue i really need your helps.
i have researched all topics but no result.
Please tell me what did you research and what did you find? I'm curious, how you didn't find sticky roll-up/FAQ thread in this section..

Is ur phone rooted...if not use Flash tool to do so and install xrecovery aft that follow installation guide of cm7 thread

How to use custom roms
Hi.
Search for flashtool in this forum... it will help you root your phone and get xrecovery and busybox installed. You will need that to install custom roms.
Custom roms will also be found in this forum, so a little search will help.
Keep in mind that GB for X10 does not have full camera implemented. I have Froyo (MIUI) which works like a charm for me.

To be fair I tryed using the search function yesterday numerous times and it didn't work. Kept saying come back in 20 minutes.

If you have 62 firmware and locked bootloader it will be pretty hard to root your phone put CWM on and find a decent rom
In this thread i try to gather all information (links) needed with a simple guide to root your phone put cwm on and have a good rom.
I do this because i find it so hard looking for everything i need to root a locked bootloader xperia neo, so with people help we will bring all the stuff we need on one thread for LOCKED BOOTLOADER 62 FIRMWARE 2.3.4 XPERIA NEO.
Please if you find rom that work with lock bootloader please post on here.

i was going to get all info and links and post a easy 123 step method for locked bootloader 2.3.4 neo with 62 fw.
like this. (just example idk what comes first or what to do yet)
1) download this (*****)
2) download that (*****)
3)put (***) in the folder named (*****)
4) connect phone in flash mode
5)flash this and that
6) done. you can now put roms on and you have full root access..
i suggest use pandemics answer thank him and grant him best wishes with his work maybe donate him.
i will also post a list of roms that work with locked bootloader, maybe an ics version or 2

It's not hard to understand, but just you are lazy to try understand.
How can: flash .42, root, OTA (optionally flash .62 kernel) be hard to understand? What can be more simpler/noob prof than this?
Things aren't complicated, it just need to take some free time to TRY understanding them.
If all this is to complicated, only 1,2,3 which I can suggest is:
1)turn on phone
2)use it stock
3)turn it off

don't be lazy, go trough dev section and check yourself what rom's are for locked BL's.
it's not hard, actually most of them have word locked or unlocked in their title.
This is not for me i know this. i root my old phone, i am experience enough to cook my own rom on my old phone i also rite simple android apps so i know this. i do this for someone who not had android before i want nice simple instruction for them without the corporate mumbo jumbo

I don't know your earlier experience and knowledge, but based on your questions in this thread, you don't know how to do it, or it's hard for you to understand. (to lazy to quote each of your sentence with question). Maybe I'm wrong, but I just reply on your posts.
Also, making instruction even more simplified(then the one on Pandemic link) we are making zoombies out of people, who don't use their heads to think and try to understand something. People becoming to lazy these days.

He wasn't rude, he was just trying to tell that you didn't give as much info as it was needed.
About your problem, download flashtool and download .ftf (I suggest Nordic region) and flash it. Everything can be found in dev sections, or in sticky thread in general section.

There is even tutorial on how to use flashtool.

What is the filename of the file you are flashing to your phone?
Did flashtool reported any error or everything went well with flashing?

On those instructions I only see how to root your phone, which includes flashing MT11i kernel.
Now hear this. If you said all this info before, you would get your solution by now.
Flashing MT11i kernel on MT15i gives that error. And I would have told you that if you gave all the info you have. And no need to go around the web for instructions, everything you need is here, if you had checked this (sticky) thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690 you would noticed that flashing only kernel cause errors.
For start flash your phone with correct fw, to solve your initial question, then go on next exhibitions

You are out of luck dude.since your bootloader is locked, you can install a limited number of custom roms.

Use google. Search the terms which you don't understand and then post the terms which you can't find the meaning then we'll try to help you (trust me, you will find everything by searching) .

If you unlock your bootloader the official way, you can install a lot of roms around here, but you will loose warranty and the DRM.
There is also a way to unlock it via testpoint method, you don´t loose your DRM
I unlocked my bootloader the offical way, i dont use DRM, and i can install all that wonderfull custom kernels here, many of them make your phone much smoother and safes battery, thats why i unlocked my BL
If you have unlocked bootloader you can flash a kernel only, like KRsH Kernel ICS 3.0, this kernel will root your .587 on first boot easy way to root yout phone, but remember you need unlocked bootloader and this will void your warranty and you will loose DRM (depends on the way you choose to unlock your BL)
For me, i prefer this way rooting my stock FW.

Also its ROM not OS !! OS is Android !!
And btw no need to unlock bootloader now. try out stock based ROMs for now. there are lots of builds that support Locked BL also. for clarity check my signature .Btw thats down below this post !

You are the rude one by acknowledging that there are guides out there and decide to open a thread instead of doing like everyone else did, search, learn, search some more, act. I rooted my phone 3 days after getting it when there was half of the guides out there atm, and with little to no knowledge about android, and i am not some sort of super-genius, i can assure you that.

As a matter of fact you got bashed by pretty much everyone who replied.
The info is all out there, if after all that you still don't underastand what root is or have doubts about it perhaps it's not a path you should follow.
As zeppelinrox says "calling yourself a noob is no excuse, do like everyone else of us did, search and learn, it's all out there", if you encounter problems following root then people will be there to help, but your thread sounds a lot like "guys, how do i power on my phone? i can't be bothered reading the instruction manual" and that is rude, disrespectful and demotivating towards all the people who took time to make the aforementioned guides (btw, i only took the first two sticjkies of this post, and all is explained there, there's no need to search further).

Don't be afraid... If anything goes wrong just download your specific stock firmware from here

Thats pretty much spoon feeding right there. still if u manage to brick your phone dont worry we are here to help. keep in mind that rooting a phone requires a lot of patience, be sure that ur phone is 100% charged before u start and backup your sms and phone contacts before rooting. How to backup sms and contacts u ask ??

You are in Aroma Installer ... Some devs use this Aroma Installation in their ROMs...
Choose your device properly and then choose your language...

i rooted my phone and went to delete some applications and accidentally deleted something important. Now this message comes saying:

i can still use the phone but this keeps popping up with a force close button.I cant even find the firmware for the doubleplay. I was reading about "flashing the rom to stock" but i cant find anything compatible with 2.3.4,
i already resetted it to factory settings with no help. i didnt back it up with nandroid.

I tried to find the stock rom but i cant so i found this rom called Zeus v7. I downloaded it and when i open it opens to three folders:
META-INF
system
boot.img
I have no clue what to do from here on
remeber, i cant access the phone because the error comes up every second
im really stuck here

I don't know about anyone else, but I stopped reading after this part. I didn't even get to the problem. Remember, you messed up your phone. You need others to assist you. Complaining that other people aren't helping you fix your mistake fast enough isn't going to encourage many people to want to try harder to help you.
Edit: I peaked at teh rest of your post. I think it's a fairly simple fix. But I'm not going to respond to your demanding post that is so overtly negative about this community that has helped so many.
If you reask the question nicely I'll be more than happy to try and assist you.

Well I didn't read your post as thoroughly as I should have before saying I thought I had the correct answer.
I missed where you said you were using an LG Doubleplay. This forum is for the HTC Sensation. These are VERY different devices. What would work for the Sensation may not work for an LG device. I don't want to give you bad information.
You are much better off asking your question in the Doubleplay forums where users familiar with the device will be able to assist you.
there isnt a forum for the double play thanks anyways
wait. i downloaded this file called c279.dll thats 89 mb. can i use this with odin to re flash the phone?
You are flashing the wrong ROM...find one for sensation

i rooted my phone and went to delete some applications and accidentally deleted something important. Now this message comes saying:
"Sorry!
The application Home(process com.lge.subdisplay.app.subdisplayhome) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again "
i can still use the phone but this keeps popping up with a force close button.I cant even find the firmware for the doubleplay. I was reading about "flashing the rom to stock" but i cant find anything compatible with 2.3.4,
i already resetted it to factory settings with no help. i didnt back it up with nandroid.
can someone please give my some roms for the lg doubleplay and instructions on how to pleasEEE

Firstly if you try to flash a wrong rom...you risk bricking...specially without backup.. find sensation roms by googling htcsensationroms
The rom you have mentioned is NOT a sensation rom
Dont open the rom you downloaded, connect the phone to ur pc and copy the rom to sd card
Also you need to speciify if you are S-On or S-Off.....
Provide more info abt ur situation (android version, recovery, S-On/Off) ...ill try to help
AND there are some really good devs on these fora...professionals(ask Skipjacks nicely, you should have your problem solved)....but you are going to have to ask NICELY....I'm preety much a noob but can handle rooting a etc

No. You are asking this in the wrong place. You are going to get bad advice here that will likely break your phone even worse. Find an lg forum.
And do not use odin to update an lg phone!
