Asking which kernel/ROM/etc is best is against the rules and also it's lazy.

actually it depends of your own use of the device...
the best answer i thing it´s: test it and judge by your self..
both kernels are really great..
i´m using ninphetamine because speedmod still hasn´t BLN support and the battery drain its good...
but some times i spend it in two hours playing asphalt 6 lol
EDIT: also u can use SET CPU to changue the cpu freq, the user profile (conservative for example) and undervolt your device for better battery usage..
If I remember correctly, only ninphetamine support overlock rite ?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
The answer is that their is not a proper answer .You have to try them all .
Kernel is not the answer to battery drain thats user apps .
Install one kernel test it for a week and so on is the only way otherwise its just rumour and poor testing .

IMO Chainfire kernel is the best, because it's SIMPLE.

Hi guys...
I recently install the cm9 4/4 rom
And its amazing! So far I dident get any bugs..
But I do have one problem, the battery is so weak.. Like every six hours I need to rechargh it.
So what I wanted to know is what karnel that supperts the cm9 well will give me better battery results?
Thnx alot!

I peronally like cm9 stock kernel best, better check what services/apps are running in the background that consume much power!
I'm using the original karnel that I got with my sgs2..
Is there a stock Room for the cm9?
Can you give me a link please?

Mate until you do some research, don't flash anything. Unfortunately you don't understand what you are talking about

I did allot of research , its just the English is bit hard for me...
Now for my question... Its there or isn't a karnel thats supperts the cm9 perfectly and will improve the battery results?
Thnx

Mate battery life won't magically improve by flashing an alternate kernel / ROM. There are tons of reasons which may affect battery life on a ROM, and you must first determine what that is before you move on and experiment. Before moving onto a new kernel, determine what is causing battery drain using apps like CPU Spy (Can determine if your phone is entering deep sleep or not) and BetterBatteryStats (Can determine kernel wakelocks which prevent the phone from going into deep sleep). Also, what is your usage pattern? On extremely heavy usage patterns, 6-8 hours is below par, but not unbelievable.
Unfortunately I would agree with mattisfaction at this point of time. Stock ROM for CM9? When you install CM9, you get the CM9 Stock kernel. Not what came with your phone.
Well...
I see I got much more to learn :-/
Well thnx anyway, ill come back after some more research =)

Plz share your experience which kernel is good for healthy battery life ?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2
There's no such thing. So many variables determine battery life, and everyone will have a slightly different (at least) experience with a particular kernel because everyone has their phone setup/uses their phone differently.
Given how easy it is to flash kernels, backup & restore with CWM/Recovery, try some kernels out & see how they work for you.

Try dark knight kernel. But as everyone else has been saying, creating a "what is the best" thread is against the rules

Hi I'm using currently cm9 on my device.. its fine except for 2 problems.. first one wifi doesn't work properly.. second battery holds on little longer than original rom but it still drains too fast.. !
Is there any better rom for battery life?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda app-developers app
I will recomend sensation rom.. Or maybe you can try neatrom. In my opinon, battery life is better in samsung base rom.

do a search and pay attention to the forum stickies.
DO NOT POST A "What's the best ROM/Kernel/Theme?" THREAD!

I use a CM rom and recently switched to dorimanx kernel.
Since then I have seen that mobile standby is using a lot of battery something that had not been happening using CM stock kernel.
Any advice?

Its normal to have battery issues for a day or two after flashing a different kernel. Give it another day and see what happens. :good:
P.S. Next time you flash a kernel, use a kernel cleaning script before flashing. And also mention which versions of CM and Dorimanx you have now. That will help us help u better.
Yeah it happens with me as well. With 8.38,battery life was very good but with 8.39,it drains fast in standby.I'm using it for 4 days but battery life is same.

Let's not turn this into a 'best kernel' type thread.
I will however say that I have great battery (up to 5.5 hour screen time over 14 hours total) with dorimanx + 4.2.2 ROM.

Not directed to you :good: or really anyone in particular. Just saying let's not turn the thread into 'x kernel sucks, this one is much better'. Both you and I know that dori is fine for battery, and I think we can leave it at that now
