So I just noticed I can get the notification bar to pull down while the screen is on lock screen.....is that a major security issue I found ?

If you can do it if you have lock then yes.

Well then great....HTC made a major issue again

you can pull it down, but you cant do anything till you unlock it. if oyu enable pin you probably cant pull it done. its working as intended.
I just put a screen lock on and you can't do it so there is no problem.

Itl open settings and goto home if you tap it. Just hope noone I know knows xD

It's not really a security issue and this is a feature of ICS, not an HTC implementation. If you have a password/code/pattern set you cannot actually get into the phone.

I notice when I bring my phone out of sleep I am nearly constantly seeing my 3g uploading or downloading data. I have tried the droid firewall but still not much success. How cant I fix this?
Did you set a widget to update each time after unlocking the screen?
That could be the reason.

Nope. Using no widgets

Every other time I power on phone to see time I see the weather on unlock screen and half the time at night it will say some form of thunderstorms. Now if I unlock and tap on widget and bring it up it corrects itself. Is this normal?

I have the same going on with mine. I'll just have to remove and put back on to see what happens.

Yea sae thing here..

Been watching it all day.
it seems to keep defaulting to 80 degrees with thunderstorms...something is definitely off
Mine was doing the same.

Try changing the settings so it updates every hour and the weather will be spot on. Worked w mine anyways.

I wonder if since this was a customer initiated ota if HTC is keeping an eye on our phones to find out the problems. We can't turn off the check by HTC and the real date was in January for the ota to be automatically pushed? This ota of jb has way too many bugs. They even list our device as a test device if we are rooted. I wonder if people's phones who aren't rooted get the same prompt saying tell HTC cannot be disabled? Any input is helpful.

I'm 100% stock and I can disable it if I want, but I always leave that on anyways.

If you are referring to the send report to HTC in settings, I can turn it off. I'm completely stock.
Sent from my EVO LTE using Tapatalk 2
Fully stock. I can turn mine off.

We did ask for JB , an that's what they gave us . We should've asked for a working version of JB , though it probably would've been a longer delay .

Mine says I can't turn it off, but I can uncheck it. That doesn't mean it is of though. I'm rooted and s-off.

I'm guessing if you get rid of the red developer text on bootup youll be able to turn it off.
I can't remove my lock screen , anyone know why.
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2
Not sure why that isn't selectable, but there is an app called No Lock you could try.

Click to collapse
It looks like you have an app or something that is an admin on your phone and it prevents it from being selected

Have you set a password or pin or pattern security lock? If so, I would guess that you need to disable that first. It looks like those options are still accessible. Otherwise, I really don't know (never seen it before).
Good luck!

It looks like you have your phone encrypted.
Having your phone encrypted requires you to have a lockscreen, otherwise the encryption means nothing.
I didn't encrypt it though.... I'm wonder if it is an admin app what would do it. I'm going tosee if I can disable the lock
What would happen if I cleared credentials?
Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2
i cleared them...hope it wasnt a bad idea. i fixed it though. the issue was my college network profile cert
Edit they came back. All fixed
