Hi guys,
To those of you that got the free blue gel case, have you tried using the phone with the thing on? I just tried to update my voicemail message and when I played it back, it sounded like I was driving through a tunnel. I took off the case and recorded a message and it sounded great.
Just an FYI if anyone is getting pissed over the sound quality of your phone. At least for my phone, the free Sprint case screws up the call quality big time.
I'm curious if anyone else has this issue with their free case. Try it out by changing your voicemail message.
I tried to return it to a Sprint store yesterday. They wouldn't take it. Did offer to exchange it, but the cases they had were are crappy. Going case-less for now. Will get a sub-$10 TPU in a couple weeks, perhaps, when the selection is better.
I got the gray one and I think I may just ebay it.. anyways didn't you get a Diztronic? Mine seems to work well with it on.. even though the hole isn't perfectly in the center..

I returned mine and got half off an otterbox defender. I had to call customer service first and have them notate the account, before the store would exchange it. Hope that helps man.

Yeah I got a Diztronic. I just put the blue one on until I get my cases in the mail. It's always good to wear protection.

I got my cases free from Sprint like a lot of people did. I ordered some TPU cases online. I won't bother going to a Sprint store or Best Buy for a case. They are way overpriced.

They are overpriced, but twenty seven dollars and some change out the door, for an otterbox defender case, I'm sold.
And the slot for the kickstand makes for a very good finger grip.

I bought the otter box defender also. After using a otter box with my OG EVO I will never be without one again.
Honestly I got the case and I love it. It's a nice minimal silicone case and looks really good on the phone. (mine was blue) It doesn't add any bulk at all and it's most certainly not cheaply made like most silicone cases. And also it was free. Stop complaining.

This isn't a complaint. I'm glad the case works for you but it doesn't for me. Call quality matters to me. If anyone was having call quality issues, it might not dawn on them to check out the case.
Also, if you read my other posts you would see I appreciated the gesture.
Finally, I hope you speak to people in person differently than you do here. Most strangers would tell you to shove it if you told them what to do.

I don't get what you mean by call quality issue... Mine sounds just the same with and without the case.

I think OtterBox may be the only exception. They seem to protect their retailers by charging a similiar price for it online.

Are you guys serious? The OP isnt complaining, hes just saying that the case makes his voice sound differently. Hes letting us know that if your friends tell you that you sound weird over the phone then it might just be the case and not your nice new evo. Its a heads up so people dont go blaming their phones over poor sound quality. I for one never thought a case could make you sound different so I would instantly blame the phone. Thanks to the OP, now I wont.
Yea, I don't know why everyone is so happy and like "thank you" when this case is garbage. I didn't even want to put it on. I was like "wtf" and like "aww...... come on" when I got mine.

Hey guys,
So here's the deal, I've been waiting and waiting for Otterbox to release a case for the Amaze and I've been disappointed up to this point. Today I went to their website to again browse the HTC devices with Otterbox cases and was astounded at the fact that both the Vivid and the Rhyme have Otterbox cases now...they pretty much just came out, especially the Vivid (this past weekend). Even more frustrating, it seems like every HTC device *besides* the Amaze is supported. I e-mailed them regarding availability, but we'll see if I get a useful answer. Anyone else have any other ideas regarding other cases I can look at getting outside of Otterbox of similar quality? Thanks...
The Samsung Vibrant took about 2 months. It depends on its specifications and how many are to be sold as to how quickly the box is made. If the dimensions are the same or similar to other models it can be farely quickly. Also if its a wider spread device (global rather then just regional) it will be quicker too. Be patient, im sure it will come.
Thanks for the response. I got an answer from Otterbox themselves that said there is nothing in the works as of right now, but I'm sure you're right, it'll just take time.

Yes in fact I Emailed Trident about a case and they said they will make one available later this month while otterbox said they did not have any plans on making one as of right now and if they were they still couldnt comment on how long it would take till they released it.

I love the D30 as well... I have had Otterbox in the past. Always added heft. I like this d30 because it doesn't feel like that. I will also say I like the texture of the material for whatever reason. Feels like quality.

Agreed, nice case. Strong and shock absorbent. Just make sure to get the one with the hard shell on the back.

Yall should check out trident case it has two types out for the phone I just ordered my kraken AMS from them this morning and it was worth the wait a strong protection like otterbox with a built in kick stand on the case you can't get any better

any one has a real life picture of this casE?
If you look under the trident aegis case thread a few people ordered the both types of trident cases. Someone said they will get the kraken one tomorrow and post pictures. There are pictures of the aegis case next to the d30 and Incipio case.
I sent OtterBox an email this week and this was the response on 01/11/2012:

Yes that is the exact case I have it has been great so far, also if you turn the phone facing the other way the audio jack is mostly uncovered. I think you would still need to cut it out just a little but not near as much.

I've actually found that with this holster if I push the phone up a little bit from the bottom I can use the headphone jack.
The phone would be in the holster WITH the cover closed and basically just not touching the bottom of the holster.
But I don't know if the only reason that works is because I have a bulky (d3o) case.
Other cases or just the bare phone might cause the phone to slide down and sit on the bottom anyway.
Also was just on T-mobiles site and I noticed a D3o pouch as well

Just checked it out after you mentioned it, looks like that holster has d3o technology built in.
However I don't think it would hold the phone with a case on it.
Looks pretty slim.
And definitely does not cost 4.57 with free shipping lol.
Duracell makes one that's large enough for the amaze with the tmobile case on it. Sorry, don't know the model number. Bought mine at Frys electronics...

That style is the way I like. I don't like the flap covering up the whole phone.
So yesterday in the mail I finally recieved my Cruzerlite Persona Cases that took 3 weeks to ship after they told me it would only be a couple of days longer on pre-order. To be honest navigating through the website was slow and sluggish on my phone or my comp. But back to the cases we go.
I was shocked when my GF told me they came in the male and looked terrible. I thought she may have been being picky or something but was left horrified when i got home. These cases don't look as nice as they do on their website. The inside of all the cases are not painted and are white, which shows on the outside with big contrasting bold white lines around every hole from the power button to the mic hole. The paint and case feel nice but the paint isn't just missing in some places, it's also rippling in small places across the phone. Looks like the phone has wrinkles.
I ordered 3 cases. They're all like this. One of them actually leaves a flap open right under the kickstand and also makes it so that the power button gets stuck. I would recommend going with another case even their own Androidified cases, but they did a terrible job on these cases for the price.
i got 3 yesterday in the mail. the unpainted white inside is not a problem at ALL. you dont see it once its on the phone. these are the 3 i got...
I don't know if you got free cases to say that or something but you can see the white right there on the last case and it shows just the same when you put it on cause i own the same one.
the white near the kick stand doesnt show once its on my phone though.
BUT, once you said how the paint looked unfishined on some of the cases i noticed on my yellow case that on the front its not painted fully =/
im going to contact them about this =/

Good luck with their customer support. I was PROMISED a refund on an order, to no avail. 15 something emails, and months later, nothing. Won't waste my money on this company again, and have been making as many people aware of them and their ways as I can.
Tried the sharpie. Cases are a matte finish sharpie is shiny looks terrible. Wiped off.
I bought the Rorschach and I was equally disappointed in the quality of the printing. The color is way off and sloppy compared to the pic on the website. I'm asking for a refund right now but they are being super slow at responding to me.

i contacted them the other day and sent them pictures of the cases. they gave me a gift card for 60 bucks to the site =p. ill just wait to use it until they make better cases.

FYI, Tried this and the guy told me he didn't work there anymore...still no joy on a refund.
EDIT: Rejoice! I have received a refund and they didn't even ask for the stupid POS case back - who would? it surely cost them only pennies to make, more costly to restock than toss it out.
I like to buy from this type of companies that care about the costumer. I'll be getting a case from them for sure.

I ordered the androfied cruzerlite case in clear. I wish I would have got a solid color because it looks discolored . But other than the color it is an awesome case . Fits nicely and good quality .

Stay away from cruzerlite. The paint on my Persona case from them is chipping and turning ugly real fast.

i think it should be common sense to anyone that if you buy a flexible rubber/tpu/material product with ink printing, its gonna chip off... until manufacturers develop a method of inking the flexible material in an embedded state.

I also had very bad experience with customer service @ Cruzerlite . There was a problem with my order, was supposed to be fixed. I was promised a refund, then never got another response. I emailed them over and over, NOT EVEN A SINGLE RESPONSE. The case I got from them I use on my phone at work, because I don't want to ruin any of the decent cases I have. I also suggest as do previous posts, DO NOT waste your time with a company that has such piss poor customer service. I've also heard other people having issues receiving/using gift cards - DO NOT waste your time/money buying those for friends/family either ..... IMO.

anyways I have the Diztronic.. and I love it.. The only thing I do not like about it is the volume cut out. It seems like the small TPU piece flexes to much. I'm starting to think I wish I would have just gotten a cheap one that had the buttons covered..

I don't have the EVO but I ordered the Incipio NGP for my S3. Both the volume rocker and power button are covered.

I felt the same way so I bought another TPU case from ebay, and liked it better but it didn't protect the camera enough(camera stuck out past the case). I just recently bought one of the S-line TPU cases on ebay for $4.75 shipped and it's my favorite one yet. I felt the same way so I bought another TPU case from ebay, and liked it better but it didn't protect the camera enough(camera stuck out past the case). I just recently bought one of the S-line TPU cases on ebay for $4.75 shipped and it's my favorite one yet. The Incipio NGP has me curious, though. I think I would probably like it even more, but I'm hesitant to spend $20+ on a case that I might not like as much as my $5 case.

Obviously not a Hardcore case or a Otterbox but do you feel that these are better then then the Diztronic cases at drop protection?

So far, I haven't dropped mine, but my guess would be that they would perform the same. They seem to be about the same thickness. The s-line covers the buttons, but they work very well. Well worth the money and the wait (about 10 days). I ended up buying all four colors (white, black, purple and smoke). The smoke and the purple are transparent so the HTC logo and the aluminium sides show through.

I would probably say it would be better for drop protection than the Diztronic only because it covers the buttons and seems to stick out a little bit further past the screen around the edges.

Have you tried calling Otterbox? Their customer service is pretty good... 855-688-7269, we have been through a handful of them at work, Otterbox has never bulked at all to replacing them, just a phone call and they sent one it's way.

Thanks again for this tip, I called Otterbox up and they are sending out a whole new case and belt clip. All I wanted was the clip :good:
