I did several restores and now my SMS messages are sorted in a weird way (stock messaging apparently). Before the restore the messages were staggered - those that I sent were on the right side of the screen and received messages were on the left - sent, received, sent, received, and so forth.
Now all of a sudden they are grouped - received messages are still on the left but grouped together so I need to scroll all the way up to read the received message. It is no longer at the bottom if the screen underneath the last one that I sent.
Any way to fix that?

I have not been receiving some text messages lately, or I've only just noticed it. I've had some friends show me texts I never received. I've noticed that I sometimes get the noled notification but when I go into messaging, there aren't any new text messages.
Anyone else missing incoming texts? Is there a fix?
Thanks in advance.

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
No changes. It's stock 2.3.4.
Open messages and go to settings. Make sure auto retrieve is checked.

Ok, not sure if anybody can help me....
Apps like gmail still vibrate the phone when I get am email even during a call... This is very annoying since the vibrate is pretty strong. Any way to prevent this through some changes to framework or whatever? Maybe configurable?
Or maybe there is already a setting???
Thanks!
Really nobody any idea?

I really need this myself, I usually talk on speaker while I mess around my phone.
The other person on the line usually gets annoyed.
Have you gone to settings/call/call alert? There's an option to turn on and off alerts on call.

I've seen threads for many devices started but no responses so I'm wondering if it's a bug in Android or not. I use MAP to see texts on my Toyota Camry. It's supposed to be able to read email as well. However, there are times where the MAP settings aren't saving and the look actually changes. In one instance I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
With this screen the settings won't save and messages can't be read. If I reset the phone, however, and go back to the MAP settings it will sometimes change to this:
With the setting screen like this, the car can access text messages but not emails. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

The setting likely means enable/disable the Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) and not the email app. Their e-mail app probably doesn't even export the data, never mind implementing a bridge to the MAP.
Hey guys.
I'm having problems with snap chat crashing on my VZW GS4, running HyperDrive RLS15.
Basically when I open the app, I get the camera for about two seconds (it is responsive) then it freezes, and just closes.
When going to send a bug report through the whole "report" button thing, I went through the logs which held a lot of stuff I didn't understand BUT. It did say it was an exception with something having to do with SQLite.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated, because believe it or not I actually conduct some business through snap chat.
Thank you guys.

Apparently this is account specific?
as making a new account and signing in held no error.
Any ideas?

Since getting my p9000 I've noticed an issue when people send me long text messages. The parts come through with up to an hour between them. I initially thought it to be a network problem but it only happens on this phone. If I put my SIM in another phone it's fine and if I put my wife's SIM in the p9000 she gets the same issue.
This caused an issue last week as I replied to an SMS with "that sounds great", only to get the second part of the message 30 minutes later informing me of the death of a relative. The sender had no idea the messages had come through delayed and found my response inappropriate.
It happens regardless of which SMS app I use.
Anyone else experiencing it?
Here you can see an example of the time between messages.
