I am not sure if anyone here cares about the headsets but it looks like they will be gone soon.
I don't use it a lot but is always nice to have an extra bonus with the phone!

I love my Beats earbuds. They sound great. Best earbuds I've ever had. Timing is everything, I guess.

Agreed. I would let them take the bundled micro sd also if it would net me any kind of upgrade to the physical phone (better mic, better speakers, etc).
Only advantage to having the headphones for me was selling them for my first phone and selling them when I got my second phone from insurance due to a cracked screen. It helped me justify the cost. first pair sold for 80, and second pair sold for 60 due to market saturation.
Yes, gorilla glass would be nice to have for sure, however I take anything that is a bonus.
For those eligible, the Rezound it is a steal now, I upgraded my wife's DX last Friday w/a Rezound and mine DX today with another Rezound. I was considering the Razr Maxx and Galaxy as well, but could not pass up this deal!
Her's was $50 and mine was $20 so between the 2 headsets plus 2 bundled 16gb cards the phones were basically free!
Looks like no more of this in the future, but as well mentioned, hopefully they will substitute these "accessories" for more quality materials on the phone.

I haven't actually played with a One X, but from reviews and comparisons to other HTC phones, it seems that quality has gotten better. In my opinion, design has been raised a few bars also.

If it wasn't for the severe ear fatigue I get from listening to them for more than an hour or so at a time, I would use them more often. They really do sound great.
I think this is for the best IMO
I like the "free" headphones, but I'm hoping the phones will be cheaper..
the Rez shouldnt have been $300 for a 2 year contract.
but this is jsut my feelings, as I would prefer to use a set of these headphones, instead of having to pay a little extra for a set id rarely use, but everyone is diff..

The 49 dollar Lumia 900 is making 300 dollar Android phones look really bad. And I threw my Beats away. Literally. In the garbage. I don't want to pay for that crap, and if I wanted them I'd buy them on my own. Give me a cheaper phone, not headphones I probably don't want.
I use mine all the time, but only because the came with the phone and I don't want to spend $50+ on another pair. They're not the best for me since I listen to a lot of heavy metal and the heavy bass gets annoying. HTC must feel like a smacked ass since they spent $300 million for what's essentially and equalizer.
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk
While I'm glad I sold mine as soon as I could and made some of the money back for how much the phone was overpriced to start with, I have a feeling the price for the top of the line phones won't be coming down. With my discount I paid $265 for the rezound on release day. Got $70 out of the beats so that put the phone about where it should have been to start with. I really don't agree with using gimmicks to mark up the price on the phone. If I want overpriced earbuds, I'll go buy the ones I want.
I do use my iBeats everyday too, but mostly just because they came with the phone.. I actually don't like the way they sound at all, to be quite honest, but they ARE extremely well built, and so I use them when I'm riding my bike or some other activities like rock climbing where I want something relatively durable, but when audio quality isn't the primary concern. It is nice to have them. I certainly don't want to be riding my bike with headphones that I actually paid $150 of my own money for.. so some high quality headphones for free was a plus.
However, I still would rather have Gorilla Glass instead of the iBeats. Its the one area of the phone where they cheaped out and its pretty easy to accidentally scratch.

****... I would have taken them from you if you were just going to throw them out. Hell, you could have made at least 50-60 bucks off them just selling them on ebay.
I never realized how much of a better quality they were until they got stolen. Now I'm back to my ****ty skull candy earbuds and there was a significant difference in quality. I especially liked all the bass since I use them for working out. The only issue I really had was the buttons on the headphones. I accidentally hit them when I was working out which would cause the phone to pause.
Does anyone have any other recommendations for any decent headphones for around 60 dollars? I'd get the beats again, but seeing as most people say the price isn't justifiable to the quality; I'd by something better for the same price.
Or if anyone feels like making a donation, I'd appreciate it very much.

LOL, if you like Klipsch buds you definitely won't like the beats.
Those two sets are like complete opposites(I own both the ibeats and the beats tour and the Klipsch x-10 and the Klipsch s4).
The beats have too much bass and the Klipsch have too much high end.

I think China, the employee I'm talking with is in China. I bought a 10000mAh external power bank from them; it's working great, so quality is not an issue at all.
i cast the no vote, because i'm not buying any accessories for this phone, otherwise i'd vote for the largest battery they could make for the cheapest they would sell it.

yeah that is a good price for this phone. it retails at $600 i believe. Will you be getting the beats head phones with it too?
Depends on the quality of the Rezound and if it is rooted or not. It seems fair. I would value a good condition Rezound around $300. If it has all the original components, box, manual and is in perfect condition I would say more around $350.

Some of the online sites are buying for $180, and that's without headphones. Selling the phone outright is $250 ish and up. If the headphones are included, they sell around me for $50 and up to $75 by themselves. Having a Rezound, I don't know what the big bruhah is about the phone. You can only hear the enhancements of the music if you use their music player. So you can't get the benefit of the music enhancements if you're listening to Slacker or any other streaming music.
All in all, the object is worth what you're willing to pay for it. To you, that might mean $285. For me, $150 is too much, even if it came with the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader squad. Then again, I got mine for free because of my Droid Charge issues, but I was hoping for a Nexus. Nice phone, but after having mine for a couple of weeks, I HATE THE INTERFACE. Though I didn't get headphones, I can hear the difference of the music quality while using my own ear buds and using their media player, but honestly, I don't see enough of a difference in any of the classical, rock, Swedish metal, or 80 music I listen to so as to say that is phone would have been a fantastic purchase. Who knows, maybe the Beats headphones really do make the difference.

but the cost of the headphones on VZW invoice says they were $25 and have a 1 year warranty. so people paying that much for them is insane.
Got mine for 298 with 3 extended batteries, battery charger and case
I'd also compare other phones of roughly the same caliber/release time, such as the Galaxy Nexus or the RAZR. If you like what you see and hear about these over the Rezound and can get them for a slight variance in the price, then you could pass. The Beats headphones are nice, but nothing noticeable over a nice $40 pair of Skullcandy headphones I had awhile back. I picked the Rezound because I like Sense, and it seemed like the evolution of my previous phone, the Incredible. For $250, I'd go for it.

I've got the Jaybird bluebuds and they are great. I replaced the tips for some foamy ones and they fit great.
The sound is awesome and I've never had a problem with the battery.

They Jaybird Freedom Sprint has Apt-X. I use this one. It has very crappy battery life at 4.5 hours. But then again it is targeted only for working out and so is more than sufficient for a workout session hell even two days off Strictly workout sessions.
I know a LG representative that has the tones and all bias aside he loves them he's a boxer. When he trains he says they do not move even when he sweats. And they also have phenomenal battery life, but for me I would just use the J birds if I was strictly doing workouts.
If you are looking for something that is to replace your headphones and you want to go wireless all around, then I would recommend the Bluedio R+ bluetooth headphones. They are apt X bluetooth 4 NFC and has a slot for microSD card so if your phone is dead and use a micro SD card for your music you can just pop it in the headphones and be good to go! All of this for under $100. Its roughly under a hundred if you order from China or you can get them on Amazon and ebay for about $120 to $140.
I ordered mine from http://m.aliexpress.com/item/1174967490.html
Mine are on the way so I have not tested it personally but if you read all reviews about them everyone has something good to say about it. They are apparently the best in their class for the money if you like to listen to music with alot of bass.

One thing I forgot to mention about the J bird freedom sprint is that it is the second version the one right before the blue but X. The new ones are horrible in terms of sitting in your ears that is the number one thing you read about them. This sounds post to be excellent and so the battery life at about eight and a half hours but what is the point if they can't even fit in your ears comfortably while you're working out.
However the freedom Sprint version which is roughly 80 dollars, is the most comfortable earphones that I have tried. Even the call mic quality is good. They do not fall out if you use the honeycomb shape inserts, which taper off at the end in the same shape as that little groove in your ear right above the ear hole...and it just clicks right in

Not used any BT 4.0 headphones/receivers yet, but been very happy with the Samsung HS3000 for more than a year now. BT 3.0 but with Apt-X, love the versatility of being able to use different headphones with it - IEM for exercise/when portability is of paramount importance, full-sized cans when wanted, or even connecting to stereos etc via 3.5mm-3.5mm cable. Can be had really pretty cheap now too, around the $30USD mark.

The problem with the Jaybirds is that they care about sound quality, so the openings where the sound comes out are really large for a pair of ear buds. This in turn makes it hard to find comfortable tips that fit in your ears.
The tips that come with the buds are all too large to sit comfortably and they all feel like they are going to fall out (though they never actually have)
I recently went to target and found some foam tips in the bargain bin. I forced them over the tips of the bluebuds and it solved all the problems. They fit great and I never feel like it is going to fall out.

They can be pricey, but the battery lasts up to 8 hours, comes with a lifetime warranty, and they are really quality built.
Even the packaging is impressive. Sweat proof.
I'm telling you, I'd buy them again, and I'm a cheapskate.
you guys are right about the LG Tones+. They are awesome! I forget I'm even wearing them half the time because they're so lightweight. Also, they sound amazing, I don't need BT 4.0 for them to work great, they have AMAZING battery life (rated for 10, not 8 hours for music) and I used them all day at work 2 days in a row, while still having the battery on 'medium'. That was 2 10 hour shifts too.
I didn't think I'd like the design, because I thought it looked clunky, but like I said I barely can tell I'm wearing them. Maybe once my Fiance sees them she'll think otherwise on the styling, which is when I'll probably pick up the ankers, but for now, these work wonderfully and impressed me.
The only gripe I have (and this isn't specific to this headset, it pertains to all BT headsets) is I can only pair with two deices at once, unless I'm mistaken? I want to use this with my new MBP, my iPad and my Note III. My PS3 would be an added bonus, anyone know how to accomplish this or if I'm just being a newb and doing it wrong?

I know those are too expensive for what you actually said but I got them 2 weeks ago and I'm simply blown away. I bought LG-Tone+ 700. I like them alot but they won't be 20 or 30 bucks US. I assume probably Close to 40 or 50. I got mine from Amazon but since I live in Europe, they cost me 55 euros. Best Investment because I've bought 100 Dollar wired headphones that aren't as good as these.
+1 on the LG tone, on sale you can get them for slightly under 40. Haven't had to buy new headphones for over a year now with these things because there aren't any wires to get messed up with prolonged use. Went through so many pairs of headphones where it broke near the 3mm jack. No more problems

I have owned the Lg hbs700 and the 730. Both are excellent bluetooth headphones for the price. I recently purchased a pair of Arctic p311's because I had a $30 giftcard to Tiger Direct and could not find anything else that I wanted from them. I have to say that I am absolutely blown away from the sound that these produce for under $30.
I have a pretty big head and although they don't look like they would be comfortable, they very much are! They also stay in place if you want to use them in the gym. The Lg models always slip off when laying down to do bench pressing.
Here is a link to them from Amazon if you want to check them out.

I have a pair of Jaybird BlueBuds. They have very good fidelity, 8 hours of charge time and VERY light weight obviously. If you're looking for something minimal and not as bulky as over-the-ear units then take a look at these.

I got these are they're pretty nice and not too expensive. They have Bluetooth 4.0 and have APT-X.
The earpieces look bulky but are surprisingly light.

bt headphones
I just need some BT headphones for light exercise, running, etc. Bought these tonight due to the good reviews. Its behind the head style Bluetooth headphones with built in microphone (although reviews say the mic is garbage, it's not why I want it, anyway).

Also, for $10 less (approximately $20, total) you can get one model lower. It has equally good reviews but is said to have a little less sound quality and has no built in microphone.

Sorry about the links. I am a new user (less than ten posts) and the forum won't let me post links. Just copy and paste the links.
Love how people don't read. Anyways, thanks to the ones who did and suggested headphone in my price range, will definitely be looking into some of these.

I bought a pair of these.
Charge by mini USB (not micro, unfortunately).
Cheap and cheerful, but work just fine.
Used mostly for spoken word podcasts and audiobooks as well as phone calls, so high quality for music wasn't necessary.

LG Tone+ HBS-730 is a very good BT headphone. Very lightweight and easy to wear. Like the Note 3 it supports apt-x for CD quality sound.

I'm looking for some decent bluetooth headphones to pair with my dish hopper. I don't want to spend too much, maybe 20-$30. I just want them to watch tv and want them with decent battery life. Any suggestions or anyone own any?

I bought these from Amazon, good price, just out of your price range, but good battery life and pairs really well with the Note 3:

People are offering what they can. How about a thanks to everyone who DID suggest something. Next time, instead of the nasty response, maybe saying, "thanks" would be more in order. Perhaps NO response would have been better.

Thanks for your suggestion. And not trying to start ****, but I would rather get no response than someone suggesting $100 headphones. That is why I asked about cheaper headphones. I want to find some DECENT CHEAP ones. I don't mind some more expensive ones like the ones you and a few others suggested, but some of these responses were way more than I asked for in price range.

It was your response that led me to respond as I did. If you don't appreciate the help you get, don't ask for help at all. People are doing it because they are trying to be HELPFUL. Ignore what doesn't work for you by $20 or so (and, you get what you pay for), and instead look at the cheaper suggestions. Posting a snarky comment about people not reading your EXACT parameters and posting what they did is honestly, NOT going to engender people from helping next time.

Nasty <> Help
Just a suggestion.
These sure seem legit. http://1sale.com/electronics/audio-gaming/backbeat-go2-wireless-earbuds/

Here are some pictures and mini-review I have for the Arctic P311.

Kinivio makes a great affordable headphone
I was notified of this set on slickdeals last week from Newegg.com for 20 bucks, they are fantastic, comfortable and have a great battery life. Right now they are 30 bucks. So I ordered one and lo and behold I open the package yesterday, guess what...Newegg accidentally sent me 2 lmao! Scooore! Seriously though they sound way better than my cheapo pair of insignia before, plus those had the mesh part of the earpiece breakoff and they were just uncomfortable as all hell to wear. These Kinivios have padding instead, very comfortable.
