Can anyone make a mod that like Xperia U , u can change the color of the led home button of our ray? and also when u change pics , it corresponds to that color? i think it would be hard but can you?
Want something like that too, I just need change it to turquoise color to fit the holo theme, any idea where to mod in the system?
Yes
Add this to hw_config.sh
echo 2400 > $dev/red/max_current
echo 4200 > $dev/green/max_current
echo 3000 > $dev/blue/max_current
And modify the values to make the colour you want.
Ps. Highest values is 20000 per colour. And you must reboot to see the change of affect

thanks
with thise patch will the led work like xperia u? 'cause from the thread I understood that it simply gets the led brighter..
no it just changes color of teh led and make brighter ...
Ok, thank you, but i think that it's not what you asked, right?

yeah its not what i asked .. consider this as a bump so devs can fullfill our request
thanks guys! struggling to find the right color now
EDIT:
now I set the led to 0/15000/10000, the color is nice, but a bit too bright to use at night.
If no one of those value over 10000 (or something near that value), the led will back to white.
It's great if you guys can find a config make it less bright, but I'm kinda satisfy with it now.

Hello all,
Sorry for posting this here
(And not in the forum for my custom ROM but i will have to spam 6 more messages to get to my minimum of 10 before I can do that)
Anyway, the default avatar in the contacts is boring...i would much more prefer an avatar like mine on the left.
After searching the forums I am not too hopeful that this could be done but if anyone can shed any light on it please let me know..
Many thanks in advance
You've to modify the contact.apk if i'm not wrong
Cheers. I have just had to go through all my contacts without a pic and assign them the avatar I wanted. There should be an easier way....surely

Well you have to open contacts.apk with 7zip or winrar then go to this directory: res/drawable-hdpi-finger/, in this folder you will find; ic_contact_list_picture.png, ic_contact_picture.png, ic_contact_list_picture_2.png, and ic_contact_list_picture_3.png
Just replace these four files with any picture you like. Just remember to use .png files and make them the exact same size as the original files
after you finished just replace everything that you have modified in your .apk file
then you may flash it using xRecovery
...in case you dont know how to do this...
Youre using Wolfbreak's rom, right?
Just go to the file "CMUpdate 4.5.7.zip" open it
go to: system\app\
place the "contacts.apk" that you have just modified here, and delete all the rest apk files in there
then flash it
hope this helps =]

hi guys.i make a new discovery about our phone. i think the density of galaxy Y is wrong.its 120 from factory.if you make it 110 you will see yourself that is very better than 120 and some things that are cutted and dont seem very well they get better.(you can also set density to 100 or 90 but because of low resolution some letter may be crupy).set your density to 110 (its 100% easy and safe) browse everywere in your phone and i'm sure that you never change it again to 120.
HOW TO DO IT:
with root explorer mounted as rw go to system/build.prop.
long press on it and choose "edit with text manager".
find a line saying "ro.sf.lcd_density=120".
change value 120 to 110.
press menu and save changes.go back to system folder and delete built.prop.bak file.
reboot and enjoy your new screen.
if you dont like it for some reason you can change it again by changing this value again to 120.
give it a try i'm sure you gonna love it.

To get Fast Capture feature from Xperia NXT,you have to do one simple thing:
Using Root Explorer (first set Mount R/W),go to System->usr->keylayout->pm8058-keypad.kl,select "Open in Text Editor",and add "WAKE_DROPPED" after "key 212 CAMERA",and after "key 528 FOCUS" That's it,now from standby mode, your phone will be ready to make a capture in 1 second.
This isn't exactly fast capture right?

I have changed all 6 colors, (actually 7 if you see in system/vendor/overlays/framework there are 7 files), all are working together(yes all together) no problem till now........
WARNING: Use at your Own risk, I dont have any respnsibility if ur phone runs away from ur hand because it got alot excited with the new colors
How To Use It
1. You should have Unlocked Bootloader
2. You should have Unlocked Bootloader
3. You should have root, Dont ask on this thread regarding "how shud i get root" "how can i do it" Please use something called "Search" or ask in Q& A forum But inshort, that can be attained by either flashing DoomLord's kernel or there is one other respective Dev. sorry i dont remember the name.
4. Now, Download anyone 1 or 2 OR all of my theme (no problem if u use all together, only thing will be you have to remember which color is where as there is no preview available(sorry cant figurout why)
5. after donwloading my theme just go to "system/vendor/framework" and replace the one present in that folder with mine.
set permissions as http://www.mediafire.com/conv/b6e2cebf1b3c711b41f740b3ad81a876519cf5ca7b5098b1b3c87cc2de35d6c96g.jpg

well it actually works, all of them:good:
I've seen a couple of people reporting that their fuel gauge wacked out and reported wildly changing battery percentages. Like going from 85 to 25% suddenly. This is caused by flashing kernels and rom many times over and over again causing the firmware not to show the correct/actual battery percentage. There are apps available for SGS2 to reset the fuel gauge, but don't actually work for our device because of the file name and location is different. Also, the SGS2 has the advantage of being able to remove the battery and leaving out for 2 mins, apparently giving the same affect of reset.
So, what I need is some experienced developer to find out the PMIC used in our device. I've already got the location which the file is stored
Code:
/sys/class/power_supply/ab8500_fg
Knowing this the command line that "should" reset the chip is:
Code:
echo "1" /sys/class/power_supply/ab8500_fg
But this apparently doesn't work.
If some developer or experienced user knows something more about this, feel free to post and join in solving this problem
I am also interested in this thing.... I asked a dev but I have not yet received a response.... I now seek a solution....

Yes, the path is indeed changed from smartphone to smartphone. For your SGS2 there are many tool on how to do that, ex. this is one of them FuelGaugeTool

This is a line that needs to be written in the terminal in order to reset the fuel gauge chip. On Xperia P and maybe other NXT Xperias have the same folder and the same line.
Code:
echo "1" /sys/class/power_supply/ab8500_fg
Unfortunately this doesn't work for Xperia P (at least not for mine because no one else tested it)
