so friends i present to u Advanced stock kernel for Xperia P!
i dont have device with me but a friend of mine requested me to make this kernel so here it is
now u dont need to flash pre-rooted system images
the main kernel (zImage) is stock from FW 6.0.B.1.564
recovery is now integrated into this advanced stock kernel
thanks to my friend Jozinek for sending the kernel.sin & nickholtus for testing this on his device!

[v02 onwards] added CWM 5.0.2.x recovery
to access recovery: AT BOOTUP keep pressing the VOLUME UP button when you see BLUE LED/feel small vibration from the device
[v01 onwards] added support for init.d scripts (/system/etc/init.d)
[v01 onwards] added support for userinit scripts:
if sd-ext is mounted then it will execute /sd-ext/userinit.sh & shell scripts in /sd-ext/userinit.d/ folder
also scripts in /data/local/ will be executed... it will execute /data/local/userinit.sh & shell scripts in /data/local/userinit.d/ folder
[v01 onwards] autorooting (prerooted)
su binary & superuser.apk will automatically be installed by kernel
busybox (1.18.4) gets installed at /system/xbin/

i've heard from a mod that xperia 2012 line will have their own forum once this forum got cluttered and when they started to see more progress ..

download the ENABLE zip package and extract contents to a temporary folder on SDCARD (eg: /sdcard/temp/)
using Root Explorer mount SYSTEM as RW
now using Root Explorer copy the following 2 files to /system/etc/:
/sdcard/temp/system/etc/be_photo
/sdcard/temp/system/etc/be_movie
open the file /system/build.prop using RootExplorer ('Open in Text Editor' option)
add the following two lines to the file (preferably end of the file)

persist.service.swiqi.enable=1
once u have added the above content SAVE the file and exit RootExplorer
start Terminal Emulator and execute the following commands:

yes u can...
u will still need a rooted phone though
u need to add two lines to build.prop
copy 2 files to the correct locations with correct permissions
and reboot
BTW if u screw up dont blame me thats why i have posted easy to use update.zip
ofcourse experienced/advanced users will know whts to be done looking at the scripts in update.zip

cool will test. 1 last thing sorry was the leaked rom a tft and if so was it corrupt like the last leaked arc or is it in a flashable state we have about 7 plays around us 1 we have for mad testing stuff like this

well... lets just say the files posted here are the final thing
it took me few hours to get most of the data out from those file... and those files wouldnt have worked on normal/retail Xperia PLAYs anyways...

HOME button to GO UP

start SetCPU/NoFrills CPU Control app on ur device (or any other app which supports overclocking) (u may get a popup asking for SuperUser permissions, click ok/yes/allow)
now slowly increase the MAX slider to the right (one notch at a time) to increase the maximum frequency limit

hey guys here i am attaching a template update.zip which has been tested to work on the recovery provided here... u can add ur stuff to that file and edit the updater-script so that the u can flash ur files via this recovery...
basically it contains the correct combination of update-binary & mounting syntax...

FlashTool currently only supports flashing kernel... We are working on adding capability to flash system.img and userdata.img

Great! I have started work on patching GB CDMA kernel too... Might release it in a few hours or in a day or two depending on how much time it takes...

If you van flash a kernel with Fastboot, you can flash the other two things.
I have a couple of questions, first relating to the Kernel, I flashed the wifi fix and the Wifi still doesn't turn on for me, how can I edit the build.prop to enable it?
second is, does this Official Beta rom not have Google apps pre-installed? Also I don't have Android Market or the Play Shop

Can't mount usb-storage at CWM 5.5.0.4 .
error:unable to open ums lunfile (no such file or directory).
i can't mount usb-storage at CWM, gives me that error!?! same problem in FXP 121 kernel.
its a lun file problem
will be solved when fxp fixes the recovery sources
Nice work, Champ. A little thing, if reboot to recovery is pressed it shows SDCard unmounting in status bar and rebooting splash but just stays there until a physical button is pushed. It then reboots.

can i just put the tft file in the firmwaresmap of flashtool and can i then flash the kernel? Or should the kernel.sin and loader.sin in the X10_custom map also be replaced?

what you are supposed to do basically is
1. get latest version of flashtool (it supports drag and drop funtion)
2. save this ftf file to pc
3. open flashtool
4. drag this ftf file into flashtool window
5. when it asks, switch off phone and conect with back button pressed
6. put the rom zip file inside sdcard
7. insert sdcard into phone, boot it up
8. go to recovery (press back when light glows)
9. intstall the zip from recovery

No worries its just a build.prop issue the product name and device props were changed to xperia x10 and the drivers installed were for x10i or x10a.. changing the props has resolved the error detecting device.

baseband is NOT recognized
please report other things as and when you find them
[ requirements ]
unlocked bootloader
previously on stock ICS ROM or roms based on that
supplied ROM & kernel
any existing kernel with recovery
[ how to install ]
download the ROM & Kernel zip
copy the ROMs zip and save it on SDCARD
reboot device into recovery (make sure that the /system partition is unmounted, i have noticed that in some kernels the /system partition remains mounted)
flash the ROMs update.zip (this will take some time)
now reboot device into fastboot mode
extract the kernel.zip, you will get a kernel.elf which has to be flashed using fastboot
Code:
fastboot flash boot kernel.elf
now reboot from fastboot mode
Code:
fastboot reboot
device should now start booting, first boot will take a long time!!!

Periodically, there is a red frame around the screen. Frequent spontaneous reboots, though in a state of rest. Not possible to add a some native widget to the desktop.
