hi all
i am from india. my sii is getting restarted automatically four or five times a day. this has started only after i got updated through samsung kies.
anyone can help me out on this?????

Just flash a stock fw with its rom.. You can search it here and use the search bar there are instructions how to use it using odin

Ya mate, you have to flash it with odin.. Select the extracted file in csv field and just flash..
ensure that you have left pit field empty and repartion option unchecked..

Just to be on the safe side. IS it for GS2 also is odin the only way to flash it?

Yes it is for gs2 GT I9100...
Yes odin is the suitable and easiest way. No idea on other methods.. Odin is very simple method, try it.. It takes five mins or so..

Just checked and found that i already have this file on my laptop. I will flash checkrom revolution 4 ROM via CWM and then CSC via ODIN. WIll keep you updated with the finding after that. Thanks again
I want to reset my phone to fabric settings. Its currently rooted and have been flashed 1 time. The reason why is because it won't let me update through software update to ics

Maybe you can check with check fus your original firmware. Download that firmware and flash it.
flashing stock GB rom might solve the issue. try samfirmware[dot]com for your GB rom

You can flash it directly via Odin. Just download the official ics from intratech thread and flash it via odin

Use CheckFus to download latest firmware for your region.

if u flash with ur firmware evrything will be wiped exept the internal storage

You do not need to wipe as long as you do not experience any problem (this is the way I do it ). Note however: some (rare) firmware releases are "wipe releases", i.e. they will wipe your phone automatically. Therefore be sure to make a nandroid backup before upgrading.

Did you flash the full firmware via Odin? What do you use to check the bootloader?
I also flashed a deoxed zipaligned roms via cwm that obviously didn't get flash the new Bootloaders. So I wonder how to flash without wiping the phone

Yes i guess so.i flashed it via mobile odin.download network signal info and there it tells firmware,bootloader version etc.

If you have a battery problem, investigate it. You WON'T fix it by changing ROM (ELLA/ELLB/ELLC are effectively the same with localisation).
