I don't remember seeing that in aokp. As I suspect, after looking, that setting is not there.

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to answer calls using my headphones with the mic and the little call button. I run with my thunderbolt and I like just being able to press the little button to answer calls, but I haven't been able to do it on my thunderbolt. It worked on my droid 1 once I got froyo and it worked on my samsung fascinate, but I haven't been able to get it to work on my thunderbolt. Does anyone know if there is hack to be able to do this or maybe I am missing something simple in the menu options. Anyway if anyone know a way to do this, that would be great. Thanks again for all of your help in the past and all the help I am sure I will need in the future.
I also had the Droid 1 and it worked for me on Gingerbread. Now i have the thunderbolt and it didn't work on Froyo and it still doesn't work on Gingerbread. This is a feature i really liked and hope to see it on my TBolt
I would LOVE to have this work. Every wired headset I get disintegrates in a matter of weeks. I've heard this is supposed to work, but never heard a solution.
Some headsets work for me and some dont. Weird.

Allow me to be the first to show your thanks button some love. This worked for me. I recently purchased a pair of Monster beats that I boxed up to return because the mic button worked to skip tracks but not answer calls, but these same heaphones work great on my buddy's EVO. The headphones stay, just wish they weren't the Lebron James beats , Knicks fan all the way
Sorry, I meant tty, it should be off, change it from tty off to try vco

Does anyone know how to change the way the calls are accepted/declined? I do not like at all the way you have to put accept/decline in the ring. I am using a stock device. Called HTC about another issue and mentioned this before hanging up and they said no. If I can't change the settings for that maybe a 3rd party application if it's available.

If it helps at all, you can answer a call by pulling the bottom large ring up to anywhere on the screen and just use the little icons for decline call.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the tip. I do like that better than what I do now.

I've never seen this icon before on any previous Android phone I've had, anyone know what it means?

Now that is cool! Thanks!
Am I the only person that has this issue? I when I receive call the volume starts really low then shoots up to max volume. This is annoying. I have looked thru the options to see if I clicked something by accident but can't find anything.
Any help guys?

Hey bro, Go to the phone app of your phone (dialer or contacts) press the menu button and press the "call settings" button. Option should say "Increase volume in pocket" or something around those lines depending on the rom. Just un-check that and done!
thanks elracing

Isn't that the point of turning off the ringer? Not quite sure what you're wanting?

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. I think you will need to adjust volumes individually. So puts the volume key, then when the slider comes up press the gear. From there adjust the desired volumes.

When I adjust my ringer by itself in settings/sounds/volume it does the same thing

I totally agree
I actually just tried unlinking them with Switch Pro, which used to work in the ICS days, and it cannot unlink them. You can move the sliders individually, but as soon as you exit the screen and go back in, the notification is set back to the same as the ringer.
Hopefully someone else has an answer.
I almost wonder if it has something to do with Verizon. I am currently running Novella Rom from at&t threads using the vzw patch and it is the first tw rom I have run that allows separation that sticks. It's also the first I've run that the ringtone and notification volumes don't seem to be stuck at the same loudesh level regardless of slider placement.

Just to clarify, when you put the ringer in vibrate only the notification will stay turned up. I can have two volumes, but when I set it to vibrate it forces both to vibrate

Ah thanks for clarifying. That is a different issue. My issue I would have (and I think the op) is the complete inability to separate the 2. And I never even noticed a difference in volume level either(always pretty loud). It was like that on stock, beans, eclipse for me. Novella is the first I've run that it allows any separation (and obviously aosp bases). Reason I suspected Verizon on top of my experience is my wife's S3 has the same issue.

I think the op is referring to what I'm talking about. I may have had a fix if it wasn't doing that for you, but if it is I don't know then.
