Can anyone tell me which is a good app
Link2SD or S2E?..also which second partition shud i make EXT3 or EXT4?
PLZ tell which is bttr app
Im on Miracle Edition V4 (which is based on CM7.2)
I use link2sd with second partition ext2.
It works very good.

Try ext2 or ext4 dnt try ext3 its makes ur sys so slow..ext2 is used in general n b/w link2sd n s2e i dnt use both..i use amarullz sd to ext for app2sd it keeps dalvik cache to internal memory and moves data to sd ext so perfrmnce wil not degrade like others...
before use link2sd, maybe u should use sd card that have class 10 this much faster for our smart phone

Hello!
I searched the forum but found nothnig like my question.
So, now I have 8gb sd card with 512mb ext4 and I'm running SanGingerAce Lite (newest) with darktremor a2sd. I bought a new sd card (16gb) and I'll partition it to 1gb ext4, now my question is, do I have to reinstall darktremor a2sd script or do I just put the new sd card in the phone and everything will work?
And I noticed that on 8gb sd card which I use now, I can not set dalvik cache to sd (says it hasn't got enough space). I partitioned my sd card with mini tool partition wizard in windows. Should I partition the sd card in clockworkmod?

I think.
- do like first to enable darktremor
- If you already partitioned sdcard with mini tool in windows you shouldn't partition again with CWM recovery.
- but If you not already partitioned your sdcard you can use partition sdcard in CWM recovery for alternatively.
- before partitioned sdcard, make sure you has backup your files in sdcard.

U dont hv to install a2sd script again. But if u hv moved ur dalvik cache to sd, then rebuilt it on internal memory coz if u remove ur sd card ur fone will go in bootloops.
If u hv partitioned ur SD card on mini tool, then u dont hv to re-partition in CWM.

I partitioned my 8 gb sd card 512 mb and 0m swap .. i formatted the sd ext as fat32 den i used link2sd to create mount script and rebooted the phone .after reboot the sd ext was not mounting and in link2sd again it was asking to choose the format of sd ext and this time some error came : " mount script cannot be created coz the sd ext is not mounted . also in the stoge info of link2sd the sd ext was not showing up . THEn i connected my phone to pc and in minitool partition wizard i saw that der was no sd ext . i formated it in phone and the sd ext was merged in the sd primary . i tried it many times everytime i get the same error PLS HELP . i m on cm nightly nightly foure v4.3.2 . i also tried cm9 but in dat also i got the same errors .. what shuld i do nOW to use a2sd ? ?

Dont format sd ext as fat32 format it as ext2/3/4 using recovery not partition tool.
i first partitioned it using recovery only as sd ext3 .. but link2sd is not working for sd ext3 so i formated it as fat32 and link2sd was working but when i rebooted my phone i couldnt see my sd ext . i also used s2e with sd ext3 but after reboot none of my applications in sd ext were der .. PLS HELP

Which rom?I prefer ext2 over ext3 bcoz its really fast.
Be sure your sd ext is 2nd partition not first and if not work create ext2 as second partition and then try link2sd.you and create partition using minitool in pc and be sure create it as parimary partition not logical.

I root my device xperia lww and make partition on my sd card ,when I used link2sd application there's some partitions .
There's internal memory,external memory fat 32,cache system partition ext3,cache 100mb,and last is sd ext 900mb.
I can use cache system partition to move dalvik-cache like thread I got from xda.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1638962
But l don't know what's function sd-ext it's still empty.
What thread can I used to make sd-ext functionally ,cause it useless with 900mb on my sd card?

S2E is better...Ext4 partition is the most common...

welll its choice i would any day go for link2sd and ext3 type.
. because urs is a class 4 sd card --- IMP__ext4 mean heavy wear tear=== damged sd card...not recommended for class 4 types.. (get a class 6 or class 10 type ,, )
link2sd == app manger utilty plus links app --- i think u dont need more than 150 apps... link2sd would suffice easily...
s2e moves and regenrates too much of a cache
at last choice is urs..... enjoy..

S2e works only for CM roms. I have a custom rom - Imaginary - and only link2sd works for me..

ill say by personal experience i installed miracle just 6 Days ago , and repartitioned my sd also the thing is , i have tried s2e it works great no doubt but after some time the apps starts to disappear atleast it happened with me ,so i went for link2sd and make sure if you want to use link2sd format in ext3 becoz cwm formats in ext3 when ever you format or install new ROM and, ex4 wont work properly so far i havnt got prob with link2sd and make sure you install link2sd before anything else you install

i followed a thread about increasing the internal memory of android and partitioned my sdcard and using link2sd moved all apps to that ext2 partition.
Now i have 77mb free in phone storage and 1.06gb in ext2 partition. i downloaded a game of 158mb but when i install it it says not enough memory and shows the memory of phone storage(77mb) but not of ext2 partition. any way to solve this problem? i partitioned my sd card just for that sake but it also didn't work :[...... plx help.....................

btw that thread was about increasing performance and saving internal memory..... i want to install game of 150mb which i can't install because of low internal memory error.....
