Is anyone else having problems receiving their Facebook notifications on the EvoLte? I wonder if it's the aggressive task manager that's messing with it.

The Facebook app just sucks. It always has.
Never liked the FB app much, I turned off notifications, but didn't seem to get any for the first three days when it was set to refresh every so hours.
The only reason why I asked is because I didn't have any issues on my OG evo and my wife's 3d notifications work ok as well.

I just noticed but I'm not getting any. It worked flawless on my 3d. I think we may have to do the bb trick to get it to work again. Thats how I got it to work on my 3d

Hey, did anyone else with Tango on the old Evo try to set it up on the E3D? It keeps asking me to verify my number, but then it doesn't send me the text :/
My friend and I have both installed this app with no problem. Quality of the feed wasnt so great and the connection wasnt too good as well.

I have no problem on verifying the account on the 3d. I also have it on my evo 4g previously.

What's wrong with the bank of america app, and everytime I forget to log off after a while it force closes like 3 timestamp it gets annoying it didn't do that before the update, I anyone got the old one?

I got sick of it so I use the mobile site. Much faster in my opinion.
At first I thought it was a error, but I think its for security reasons builtin within the App. It times out after a while so if anyone picks up your phone they can't access it. its like the bank of America atm machines. After your input your code a few minutes of inactivity would bring up a prompt to re-enter

If you don't report it to them by calling in and getting a technical case filed they can't fix it. Also an update just came out with some bug fixes does it still happen after the newest update?

Is there anyway on the Photon to have the Email or Messaging widget show the number of unread emails on it (like in Sense)? I can get a preview of the email's contents, but I just want a number on it of how many there are.
Maybe try this? I haven't done it but it's worth a shot.

Well you can use K-9 MAIL link it to your corperate, imap,or pop email. It has an unread count icon widget.

I've considered K-9, but have seen too many reports of instability. Sense has a regular email icon with uncount number on it -- why can't there be one for the Photon too?

Lol yea I came from an Evo too..
just loved that Sense,its a no go with the mopho though
I have been using k9 for over a year now and in earlier vs. Yea it had some issues, but the past 4-5 months its been rock solid for me. Even overseas.
There is also another app on the market call email widget pro I think it cost a dollar though. It will give you an unread count widget to your native email apk.
But the icon is so darn ugly

Perfectly safe, until Google/HTC becomes better friends with Facebook, I recommend using this for all your third party messaging apps.

Go to manage applications and force close your contacts storage, then try again. Worked for me.
I just kept hitting the "check" button and I finally got a SU request. After the SU request, it worked perfectly. This app worked super fast too.
And it'll be the Evo LTE or the SGSIII.
I have handled both and like the Evo more. (rocking a Photon currently)
My one question: is there a RELIABLE AND BUG FREE workaround yet for the botched multi-tasking??
If not, I think that will ruin my experience.

I tried multiple roms and so far it seems there is no fix.
For example I was on the web browser. Backed out with the home key to go to home screen. I then went to settings to change my display settings went back to browser and the whole page had to reload and refresh.
My GS2 and Galaxy Nexus was better then this phone in the performance department.
Not to mention after you start installing apps and setting up your home screens the phone just gets slower and slower and less snappy.

Yep. It's bad.
Bad enough that my lte is sitting in a drawer as I use an alpha cm9 build on my evo 3d. Multitasking, background downloads stopping, and overall sluggishness compared to stock drove me away.

Jelly Bean will be running on the LTEVO any day now, which will mitigate the multi-tasking issue. With that said, I've tried both and the LTEVO was the clear winner for me. The Galaxy is way too plasticy for me.

I'm on my second evo lte as of today first one the radio burn out on me for too much usage and second one came brand new in box with old update so I can root s off all the way but 2morrow I get my galaxy s 3 so moving to that one and selling this one

Nope. Just this phone. I returned this phone due to crappy gps, lag and horrible multi tasking. Having to keep my screen on to download something was unacceptable. I'm on a s3 now and xda app was still on the last Page I viewed yesterday evening and I've played a few games and run a few other apps. Gps is best I've ever experienced on a phone. Hard to say that and Samsung in same sentence lol
One thing I miss is reception though
