I have some problems... I have neo v's 4.0.3 ics on my neo with changed build.prop ... now i have changed it again wrote everywhere neo mt15 or mt15i changed SI numbers rebooted but still the pc companion detects my phone as neo v?! if you know any solution I will be thankful if you post it here.. or if someone has 4.0.4 ftf from neo (original) please upload it
SI not equal to CDF(which you are actually changing in build.prop)
If someone don't understand that, read this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604559
[WANTED]|[Neo]|[Neo V] show your CDF/customization number
when i try with SUS it says im already up to date
My SI number is in the list also
guys dont be rush... the update is available only on some devices on the moment. Even if you SI is on the list the update may be late. Please be patient

You can update with unlocked bootloader if unlocked by test point leaving DRM keys, ask next time in general chat in Q/A topic
Has the stupid HW acceleration bug where hw accelerated stuff is laggy and un smooth been fixed in 4.0.4 ?

There is a .ftf file for unlocked bootloaders in the forum- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678690. If you have unlocked via testpoint method, you can do direct upgrade from sony when available but in very( very few cases) it can cause bricking. So flashing .ftf seems to be the best method.. Since you have unlocked by official method the only method I know of is to flash.

your welcome mate .you can flash that firmware and its ready now to upgrade to ics 4,0,4 through suse make sure you set all your langs and region on it first
I was have 2.3.4 but before several days i used flashtool to update 4.0.4, but probably i will revert again to 2.3.4. In 4.0.4 have more bugs (like a camera issue in HD video and more . . .)
updated to official 4.1.B.0.431 (mt15i)
it is not smooth, I said numerous of foul lng...(OC ed @ 1.6GHz)
then try out some ROM...still...scolling on home screen is laggy...except respond in apps os better...but still not that in 2.3.4 (.62)
flash back my img in 2.3.4 that mid-night =] (even under clock @ 768Mhz is more smooth than ICS 4.0.4)

Thanx. You helped a lot.
unstable
app launching is good but I find ICS is unstable, after using it for few hours, my neo become sluggish and launching simple app takes more than it should like messaging, contacts and even dialer. Need to restart every few hours. phew!
I have an INDIAN Xperia Neo V device currently running on 4.1.B.0.431 firmware. I am thinking of rooting it, for which I require 4.1.B.0.431 and 4.1.A.0.562 kernel files, INDIAN version.
Any idea from where I can get them? I tried searching and downloaded a couple of them but they seem to be international versions.

yup MT11i = International Version & MT11a = America
and for your information 4.1.B.0.587 is available for download, why dont you update first then root your phone....
it doesnt matter..as Samak said..
U can flash international, nordic..etc..evrything will work fine..
I think i flashed nordic .587 coz .587 was not available in India at that time..atleast for my SI..
Thanks for all your inputs guys! I was able to root with available international kernel.
My phone had previously notified me about 4.1.B.0.587 update available. But since I needed to go back to 4.1.A.0.562 for rooting, it made no sense to update. So now I'm having a 4.1.A.0.562 kernel on rooted device. And loving it!
Thanks again guys!

Why just .431 kernel...
He can very well flash just .587 kernel that won't have any issues with root.(don't flash entire fw..you'll lose root @ OP )

Dear Community.
I have to downgrade xperia neo (mt15i) from 4.0.4 to 2.3 for testing purposes. Is this possible? Where can I find the kernel/rom (preferably the factory default)? What flashing method is recommended for such thing?
Thanks a lot

I know, but the list above conatains only releases starting with 4., so I suppose these are not the original stock 2.x versions. What I'm looking for is the SW was on this handset when it was originally released (JB)
Thanks
