Hi
I recently installed [AOKP-B37][27/05]Resurrection Remix ics v2.0[4.0.4] on my i9100, Battery life and speed are very nice but I found out a problem,
When i am on the conference bridge of my work, we need to dial an 7 digit access code for bridge details. SO I found out that it seems every number I tap in, it says: incorrect number. And I know that the number is correct, because when I dial it with my regular phone it works.
ANybody had this dialer problem also and how to resolve it?
Thx
Kevin
anyone?
Can someone perhaps point me to a new phone.apk that will work on an ICS for Galaxy S2?
Hi, I've got exactly the same problem. I'm in NL and I often use conference bridges from KPN and Microsoft. Both give me the same problem "Invalid acces code". Using another phone works as a charm. I'm using Stock Cyanogenmod 9 latest nigthly and the LPW baseband.
Sometimes i reboot and then it seems to work ... very strange.
If someone knows how to solve, please let me know
Exactly the same problem...
I am facing the exact problem... if some one knows the answer, kindly help. In fact I am planning to buy a new cheap descent phone to address this. Your solution will save me frm managing 2 phones

My real problem for past 1 week is to use what key words to search this problem... I got the clue from Kevain's post (Thanks ) and found the solution:
1. Either turn off speaker phone while dialing conference bridge - worked for me
2. Turn off the Dial pad touch tone (Settings -> Sounds) - worked for me
Reference:
I could not post the reference URL as I am new here, any way google for this "Galaxy Nexus/ICS Dialer and entering of codes - Google mobile help"
Waw, I'm going to try that out, I indeed found out that sometimes the problem is not there, but I never linked it to the speaker phone ...
Good news in any case that there is a workaround!
Thanks a lot for your reply

Hello,
Just got my HTC Ultimate (Brazil's for Titan) and I'm experiencing some problems while dialing and returning calls...
For the details below I'll use a number (9999-8888) from Brazil (country code 55), with 31 as area code.
I store my numbers in international format (+55 31 9999-8888, for the number above) and Vivo (my mobile carrier) sends incoming calls identified as 03199998888 (same number).
I can't call none of them, as I need to dial (according to Brazil's standards) a number in the following format:
0 15 31 9999-8888
The leading ZERO identifies a long distance call, the following "15" tells them to use a especific long distance provider, 31 is the area code and the rest is the number.
In android I've used several apps to do this "translation" in real time, while calling, like "Operadora DDD", "Profiler" or Right Number...
Is there anything like this in Windows Phone 7?
I've checked the "International calling assist" thing too...
I believe it's good to match incoming calls with different number patterns from my contacts.
In fact, no matter where it's on or off, my phone matches 03199998888 for "+55 31 9999-8888", so I believe it would deal with more strange patterns...
While receive a call and match a contact is OK, calling is still a challenge...
Anyone with tips?
Hi, rgmarques. I'm from Brazil too. I have the same problem. Send email to [email protected].
Thanks
Antonio Marques
Hi guys, i'm a former owned of a HD7 and now I own a Ultimate too.
All my contacts use the pattern: +5511XXXXXXXX, for São Paulo as an example. All working now.
The fallowing patterns also works: 011XXXXXXXX, 0YY11XXXXXXXXX
As an example, if you use a TIM SIM, the match option when someone calls you will not work, at least never worked on any imported device I own previously. This is because when your recieve a local call, TIM does no put the DDD before the number! This is done nice by Vivo.
Please, don't keep information on your email, share it with forum. Since the Titan is a brand new device here in Brazil, more people will come to find solutions for their problems.

Try this: Go to Settings and then choose SIM application.
Click on "show application", click on "Facilidades" and then "Vivo DDD". Activate it.
Give feedback please.

Well, seems like my SIM card doesn't have a "facilidades" option...
Here in minas Gerais, we've moved from Telemig Celular to Vivo 1,5 years ago and some stuff hasn't changed completely yet... SIM apps seems to be the case...
I've seen different behaviors in incoming calls matching on my Motorola Milestone, depending on the ROM I used. Never tried different carriers, as it was never an option. But I believe they might send different numbers as originator of the call, resulting in different results.
But my problem relates to originating a call...
Vivo won't let me call +5511XXXXYYYY... I need to call 01511XXXXYYYY...
Well, while no alternative solutions come up, I've changed my contact numbers to match our (Brazilian) pattern... Regular expressions made this reasonable while nothing else shows up... If anyone needs any specific help with the process, just let me know...
I'll keep looking and will report here if i find anything useful...
Thanks.

Call VIVO and ask them to enable this for you. Or, if your have an old Nokia, try you SIM on it and see if the option appears there for you.
But can be different SIMs for each State.
When you DIAL without the DDD Operator, nor the AREA, does it completes the call? If not, this is the problem and this service from VIVO will 'add' the DDD Operator when you do a long distance call.

Hi Cris,
I have a Titan with Tim, and I save the contacts with 04121XXXX-XXXX, so when I receive a call from my contacts I don't see the contact's photo or name, only the tel number XXXX-XXXX without area code. But when I save the number like XXXX-XXXX without area code and Tim code, the photo appears on screen.
I had a Htc Diamond with Tim and photos appears well.

Well,
I used to save my contacts in the international format, +55 31 9999-8888.
With that, I'll need a transformation instead of a simple addition of the carrier code...
If I call 03199998888, the call completes when it's a local one. If it's a true long distance call, it will fail, requiring me to explicitly inform the carrier code.
Well, I will try to check if Vivo has any hint for me.
I'll call them tomorrow.
Thanks again.
Hello to all, :fingers-crossed:
Sorry for my English.
First of all I would like to thank the developers for their hard work.
I have only one problem.
I have a GSM EVO 3D S-Off HBOOT 1.49.007, Root and the new [ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 10.1 - 4.2.2 - 22-March-2013.
Everything works fine, also the videocamera (disabling HW Overlay) without 3D.
But I have a problem with sending SMS.
Text messages are not sent ever.
I think I understand the problem, but i ask for help even if it was addressed.
I have an Italian SIM, mobile operator "POSTEMOBILE."
"POSTEMOBILE" uses the Vodafone mobile network to serve its customers.
When the ROM CyanogenMod 10.1 - 4.2.2 locks the mobile operator does not locks Postemobile but Vodafone.
In this way, when I try to send a text message, the phone number of the SMS center is not recognized by Vodafone and returns an error message to be sent.
It 'possible that the problem is this?
And 'possible to fix it?
Grazie a tutti.

SOLVED....
I found the solution by searching the various sites.
In particular, I had help from the site Androidiani.it.
The solution is simple.
When you install a ROM ICS or JB the SMS center number is lost.
In order to reset the number you must type a code on the keypad of the phone.
A hidden menu appears.
The code is *#*#4636#*#* (i think that works for all of android)
Now look for the string SMSC and enter the number of the SMS center of your mobile operator.
Apply this setting with the second button... and well done....
Now you can send SMS with ICS or JB...
Thanks to all...:fingers-crossed:

Try to do a reboot without SIM and again with the SIM.
Then redo the procedure with the code.
Worked for me the first time.
With Sprint I do not know if it works, try looking CDMA forum.

I called Sprint customer service, and they helped me to fix sms reception issue, by resetting something on their side. It looks like I am getting texts now.
how did you do?

I explained them I can send SMS, but I can't receive them. Btw, I integrated my Sprint # with Google Voice. Now I keep all my sms and voicemail in my google account. I even turned option to send me an email when sms arrives - you can do it with Google voice.
So, first step the Sprint customer service recommended was to clear all cache and data from all my applications which I use or ever used for sms/texting. I did it before though, and I told them it didn't help. Then, they recommended to delete all message treads, basically all your sms. I did. I didn't worry much about loosing them, because I backed up in "SMS Backup & Restore" app already. Then they asked me to take battery out, and while it was out, they reset (or sent) something on their side for my phone. When procedure was done on their server, they asked me to start my phone again. I did. They sent me test sms, and it worked!!! Now sms work well, and I even receive gmails upon their arrivals.
Not everything is so shiny though, I have a different problem: data drop, but this is a different story, and not resolved for me yet: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2221579.

Hi all, got my G3 last week and quickly noticed that on ALL outgoing calls using Google Voice (I have it ask me every call whether to use Google Voice or my cell ph#), the dialed number shows up as something completely different than what I dialed in the stock dialer call log. Different area codes, altogether different ph#s. Didn't ever happen with my old GS3 or old school EVO, and searching around seems common on Samsung devices + some G2s but I can't seem to find a fix for this problem on this particular phone - or others reporting it on it for that matter.
FYI I've uninstalled/reinstalled the app, checked settings for anything... odd. Help pls?? Thanks in advance...
When you call someone with Google Voice, it uses your phone to call Google Voice servers who then dial the number you called. Get it? It calls Google, then Google calls your selected party(number).

Its been that way since they came out with Google Voice on every phone I've ever used in the last 4 years so I dunno what you mean it didn't do this before. It's been this way forever until they released integration with Hangouts a couple days ago.

Hi, Did you manage to fix this, I'm having the same problem on two Honor 7 handsets!!
---------- Post added at 10:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:47 PM ----------
Anyone would be able to help here, pls?
Are you guys sure its not a problem with your carrier? Only heard these reports from people in the UK, nothing on any other forum. Have you tested in any other location to rule out signal/interference issues?
Hi, I am also having the same issue. As per my additional analysis phone in sound stops working on a call if the phone's proximity sensor detects something. if you keep the phone away from the ear, or start a speaker Phone for that matter, the call goes through.
This is less than 3 months used.
Well, restarting the phone did solve this issue, however, it is not a viable option to restart the phone when this happens. the phone is now on Marshmallow.
Thanks
I saw this several years ago on older US devices in Europe... issue where a + is inserted in front of each number, and Android thinks every number in my address book is international. For example the number (305) 555-1212 gets dialed as +30 55 551 212 because it expects a +1 in front to dial as US. In the past I was able to resolve by changing a few settings in the Phone app, but that was on Android 6.0? I think. Those settings are not available now on Oreo and just wondering if anyone else has come across this issue before.
ATT customer care is absolutely useless and took the lazy way out crying foul because it's a VZW device, which is bull of course. Thanks in advance for your help!!
EDIT: I just uploaded screenshots of the Call Settings.
i know its nothing related to the problem
but u can post a screenshot of your settings app?
See original post... I added screenshots of the settings in the Phone app
