2º install via USB (fail)
3º get the file c:\programdata\motorola\sue\firmware, copy in SD and execute (fail)
in the log, the error is that i dont have the file arcvideoeditorlite.apk in \system\app, i was delete this app, but with root explorer i put it in \system\app with the same permissions and with systemcleanup i cahnger to system app, can you help me?
sorry about my english, im spanish
thanks

Flash it via fastboot. Done.

ok, can you say me how can i make it?

You have to download the right fastboot file (651.167.22), RSD lite 5.7 and if needed Motohelper USB drivers. Then unzip the fastboot file, run RSD and select the xml-file found in the unzipped fastboot folder. Plug your device to the computer via USB cable, click flash button in RSD, tge device will reboot into fastboot AP automatically and gets flashed. when finished it will reboot itself. Done. If something is not clear, search in the forums or google for RSD to get better instructions.

To install an OTA you need to be on a specific version which vary with each OTA.
And if you removed bloatware of freeze the ota will failed. that's why dtrail told you to fastboot you can be sure it will work.
And if you want ICS you have to fastboot 651.167.26 then apply the right OTA. but be ware you can't roll back to Gingerbread.

ahm ok, thank you very much to you and dtrail1
i will make this, i hope i will have luck

RAZR: back to stock

Hi,
- I have rooted the 912 744 RAZR with Doomlord's method.
- I installed Safestrap
- backed up stock ROM is Safe Mode Disabled
- installed RAZRX ROM in Safe Mode Enabled.
How can I go totally back to stock as when phone was when picked up from VZW?
1. boot into Safe Mode Disabled to get back to original ROM?
2. Uninstall Safestrap by simply using Manage Apps and do uninstall? Is that gonna take care of deleting the safe side and all that?
3. Unroot with Doomlord's unroot?
Thank you!

Use the fastboot files then after that, do a factory reset before you reboot.. You are completely stock then...
thank you, detr0yt, but I have no idea how to use fastboot. I have a vague idea of what fastboot is. Can you please summarize?
edit:
ok, I found this on another Fastboot thread on another forum:
METHOD:
RSD Lite v5.6 - and the combined files in the OP
Loaded the file into RSD Lite v5.6
Booted the phone into AP Fastboot
Hit START on RSD - and let it run its course.
I guess I'll try it...

Check the thread in this section for the fastboot files. You download files and use RSD Lite 5.6. Plug your phone in and select the files you downloaded. It'll flash your phone will all the stock ROM. You'll then need to upgrade to .748 (either check for OTA updates or just download and flash it in Android recovery)

This will take you back to stock GB 2.3.5 (then after you can upgrade easily to ICS)
Ensure debugging is enabled - I assume you did this before trying to flash anything..?
From the Eternityproject
download Blur_Version.651.167.20.XT910.Retail.en.EU
and from XDA
AlternateFlashScript-WINDOWS.
unzip these files, then copy the alternate flash script files (just the files not the folder) and paste them in the rom folder.
connect your phone via usb and make sure it is in fastboot mode
to start flashing rom first open the eprj-mfastboot file - this will open a cmd window that will disappear
now open the Windows_Fla**** file and just be patient while this flashes stock GB 2.3.5
once done you may need to root the device again.
now you need to download RSDLite5.7 then install it
and ICS 4.0.4
Install
connect phone via usb and go into fastboot mode.
now open RSDLIte5.7 and wait for it to recognise your device -
once your device is recognised you can now browse through the Filename section and select the ICS 4.0.4
next select Decompress and Start Flashing
be patient and it will tell you when its done.
now that you got ICS up and running you will need to root your device again using
EPRJ_EasyRootICS_MultiOS_v1.1 from eternity project
now you can pretty much flash any ICS you want...

How to Unbrick Razr Running Ics And Update To ICS

THIS GUIDE IS FOR XT910/GSM USERS
So guys in this thread There is nothing new that I am posting, But it is necessary to have all the official ICSs all together at one place so that other users can flash it from one place.
I am not taking any credits for this work neither I am saying that I have created any tool to help you guys, I am making a guide of how to unbrick and update to ICS so that some people who are bricked and want to reflash the ics in their devices, they can do it. Also This Thread Can be used to update from any other European Leak To Official ICS (of Europe).
So in this guide we are gonna learn how to flash the official ics of the different regions. Depending upon your region and system version flash the suitable ics.
Before we begin I would like to tell you that thanks to HSD, We now have two different methods of unbricking:-
1. Using the Official OTAs
2. Using the fastboot files
How to unbrick and flash ics using the official OTAs
Currently I have only three Official OTAs you are welcome to link to me other Other Official OTAs.
So before you begin I would like to tell you the pre requirements that you need.
1. Good Battery Life (atleast 80%)
2. Official OTA of your region
For European And british region Download This OTA.
For Serbain Region Download This OTA.
For Asian Regions Download This OTA
For Canadian Regions Download This OTA
3. Download EternityProjectFastboot
4. Boot.img file for you OTA
Download This boot.img for European/British OTA
Download This boot.img for Serbian region
Download This boot.img For Asain regions
Download This boot.img For Canadian Region
5. Gingerbread Fastboot files
Download These files For European OTA
Download These files For Serbian OTA
Download These files for Asian OTA
Download These Files for Canadian Region
Remember you will lose root after you update
The Procedure
1.Copy The OTA to your external sd card.
2.Extract the Eternity Project Fastboot. You will get three files. Copy them to your desktop.
3.Put the boot.img file on your desktop.
4.You need the system_signed file, to get that:
4.a. Create A folder on your desktop saying rom-1
4.b. Extract the gingerbread fastboot files which you downloaded (extract those files which are of your own region your region).
4.c. After Extraction, there will be a file called system_signed file in it copy that out and put it on your desktop.
5. After you put the system_signed file on your desktop, make sure you have 5 files [system_signed,boot.img,eternity project fastboot(Has three files)] on your desktop.
6.Now boot your device into AP Fastboot Mode.First switch of your device, then hold vol-,vol+ and power buttons all three together at the same time for 10 seconds.
Then you will enter in a screen,i.e, Boot mode selection menu where the third option would be AP Fastboot.Scroll down using vol- and then select using vol+.
After you enter in AP Fastboot mode connect your device to the PC.
7. Hit the Start-Button in Windows and search for 'cmd', command prompt window will open.
8. Now copy and paste the following codes one by one in the cmd of your windows
cd desktop
eprj-mfastboot flash boot boot_new.img (For European and Asian regions)
eprj-mfastboot flash boot boot_new_41.img (For Serbian Region)
eprj-mfastboot flash boot bootics.img (For Canadian Region)
eprj-mfastboot flash system system_signed (For All the Regions)
9. After All the files are flashed correctly, disconnect your device from the PC, then hit power button to switch it off.
Then again hold vol-,vol+ and power buttons all three together at the same time for 10 seconds and then enter into second option,i.e, recovery or stock recovery.
10. When you enter into recovery you will an android lying on his back, just hit Vol+ & Vol- together to see the options.
11. Scroll up and down using the vol- and vol+ buttons and select using the power button. Wipe your cache first (I recommend wiping data too).
12. When done, go to apply update from external storage and choose the ota (of your region). It will take some time to install.
13. When installed just simply reboot your device and you are all set and good to go.
For Any Assistance I have made a video for you guys :cyclops:
How to unbrick using fastboot files
Well many of us are already familiar with how to use the fastboot files, but there are some who dont know how to flash them.
For such users I would like to tell you that we have two tools which can flash the fastboot files in our device,
1. RSD Lite (Official Motorola Tool)
2.Flash it (Created By KHOLK) (Thanks Mate)
It entirely is up to you to decide which tool you want to use. I myself use flahsit.
If you want to use flash it You can see this video to learn to use it.
If you want to use RSD Lite see this guide By zeidof. Thanks buddy.
Fastboot files Of Official ICSs
1. Retail Brasil ICS 4.0.4
2. Claro Brasil ICS 4.0.4
3. Tim Brasil ICS 4.0.4
4.Oi Brasil ICS 4.0.4
5. Personal Argentina ICS 4.0.4
6.a. 672.180.41
6.b. 672.180.33
Both Are European
7. 672.180.291.XT910.AmericaMovil.en.01
8.Chinese ICS
Remember Asian and European users can flash each others roms, rest cant, kindly flash the rom of your own region, Then I am not responsible if anything happens to your phone. Also remember after updating to ICS you cant go back to gb.
If you have any other Official OTA OR Fastboot files You are Happy to Link Me to that

[Q] Help! framework-res.apk edited, bootloop only

Good day, im a new member here but i usually visit this site when i manage to get my hands on a new phone
I own a Photon 4g Japan version which is from kddi
i manage to root my phone and install root explorer, but bootloader is still locked
i intend to remove my google account without doing a factory reset because i have installed lots of games on it, so i search the web and i came up to this instruction telling me to rename my framework-res.apk and renaming it back to be able to reset my account
i manage to rename it but when im about to rename it back to its original file extension it started to force close and reboot
to make the story short i ended up having a phone stock on motorola logo (soft brick i guess)
i want to know if there is a way to access the phones system file using my computer to rename my framework-res.apk file to its original or if there is some work around to make my phone work again
any help or guide will be greatly appreciateed
by the way the phone can still be detected by pc both on fastboot and rsd mode

Did you make a nandroid backup with a bootstrap recovery or anything? If you can find a system backup of the Japan system framework you can flash it via fastboot and you'll be good to go! Or just flash the US version.

if you use the photon (US) sbf file you must flash one that is 2.3.5. as far as i know there isn't an SBF that is 2.3.5 for the photon yet.
i recommend flashing a stock system image of the photon or try and find someone who has the japanese photon that can send you the system image! i have the electrify so i don't have a stock image otherwise i would send it to you and help you out!
try reposting asking someone for a stock system image file! then you can use fastboot and flash it. do not flash the electrify SBF!!
if you don't have the moto-fastboot application for the computer to flash you can get it here. it's inside one of the folders. http://www.motosunfire.com/moto-fasboot/
commands should be this if you get the image file. reboot and all will be fixed!
moto-fastboot erase system
moto-fastboot flash system system.img

Hey Jay. Try this method
This solution is only work if you have backup file from your previous framework-res.apk.
Preparation
Install SuperOneClick
framework-res.apk. backup file
Fix bootloop after modify framework-res.apk
Copy backup framework-res.apk file to your platform-tools SDK.
Connect the android device to PC/laptop
Run SuperOneClick
Click Shell Root
in command prompt, type
cd
adb shell
mount -o rw,remount -t ext3 /dev/block/mmcblk1p21 /system
exit
adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework
adb reboot
Make sure before type the second line you already in platform-tools directory.
Done
This method is taken from mobilecon .info. Since I am newbie I dont' have access to paste source link
Worked in my china Android phone.

Does anyone have a method for rooting the M4 Aqua on .167 firmware?

Does anyone know how to root the .167 firmware of the M4 Aqua? I don`t want to downgrade due to the improvements made on this firmware, I have the E2303 model of the phone
With unlocked bootloader, you can simply flash twrp and then the supersu zip. With locked bootloader i dont know.

Yeah man. Unfortunately you do gotta downgrade first if your bootloader is locked. Otherwise just do what the other guy said.
Here's what you do if you've got locked bootloader.
Get the full source and files here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/development/bl-locked-twrp-touch-recovery-bl-locked-t3257430
1. Downgrade
2. Flash root through adb
3. Flash recovery through adb
4. Build pre-rooted upgrade zip
5. Flash with recovery
6. Now you're on .167 with root and bootloader locked.

Sure thing friend.
I'm going to assume you meant 2303 correct? If it is indeed a 2203 like you say, you don't have an xperia m4 aqua. You have an xperia e3 and you'll have to go get support in another thread.
ADB, Fastboot, Drivers
First you'll need to make sure you have ADB, Fastboot and Drivers to interact with your android device.
The easiest way is to follow this guide to get all of those: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118#post48915118
Downgrade Firmware
1. First get yourself firmware version 26.1.A.1.128 for your variation. You can probably find your firmware at this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/stock-xperia-m4-aqua-xperia-m4-aqua-dual-t3141061 (Get the 26.1.A.1.128 version or any firmware that has xx.x.x.1.xxx! The x's can be anything but the 1 is important)
2. Once you have that, you'll need to make sure you have a program called FlashTool.
Download: http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
Open it and click the lightning bolt in the top left and make sure flashmode is selected and click okay. Then click the 3 dot's button in the top right of the window that pops up and browse to the folder that your FTF file is located. Then choose the ftf file. check both options under wipe. If you see any .ta files in the firmware content area, make sure you exclude them. Then Press OK.
3. Unplug your phone (if it's not already) and turn it off. Now, plug the one side of the cord into the computer with the other side not connected to your phone yet. Then hold down the volume down button while plugging in the other end of the cord. sometimes you get a popup asking about a script file. just click okay and let it proceed.
4. once this whole bit is done. You have downgraded your firmware.
Installing Root on downgraded firmware
1. Download this rootkit file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/edse0h6b02odzn1/rootkitXperia_E23xx.zip?dl=0
2. Extract it.
3. make sure USB debugging is turned on in your phone settings. Go to settings. Tap about phone a whole bunch of times till it says you're a developer. Then go back and just above about phone should be another section called something like development. click that and scroll down and find a checkbox that says something like enable usb debugging. Click it and you're ready to root.
4. Now run install.bat in the rootkit folder. If your phone asks you a question about permissions, just click allow.
5. your phone should restart and you should now see the SuperSu app in your app drawer. If you don't see it, try installing the root again.
Installing Custom Recovery on any firmware with root
1. Download this recovery install file:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/yomdwq3p2le9hvi/M4Aqua-lockedTWRP-0.1-installer.zip?dl=0
2. Extract it
3. run install.bat
4. your phone should ask about root privileges for ADB. Sometimes it takes awhile to pop up. Just click allow.
4. your phone wont restart with this one but you should now have a custom recovery
Booting into the custom recovery
1. Turn off your phone and unplug it from your computer
2. Now turn your phone on
3. When you feel it vibrate and see the notification light turn blue (sometime while it says sony on the screen) press the volume down button and hold it.
4. You should now be booted into the custom recovery
Installing the latest version of android while keeping root
1. Download this file below:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/z0tgziwx8epdu38/twrp_prerooted_M4.zip?dl=0
2. Extract it
3. Download 7 zip from the below link:
http://www.7-zip.org/
choose if you're 64 or 32 bit system.
4. Install 7 zip
5. Make sure you have an FTF file of the version of android you want to upgrade to. (probably whatever version you were running before all of this)
6. Open the ftf file in 7 zip and drag the system.sin and kernel.sin file out of it onto your desktop
7. now open flashtool again.
8. Choose the advaced menu item and click Sin Editor
9. Browse to where you put the .sin files and repeat these next steps for each one.
9a. click on the .sin file and click open.
9b. Then click extract data
9c. the extracted file should be in the same location as your original file. (repeat this step to extract other sin files)
10. Once you have kernel.elf and system.ext4 copy them into your twrp_prerooted_M4 folder
11. Then select everything in the folder and right click on them and click Add to zip...
12. It should open a window that has a bunch of settings. Don't worry about most of them but just make sure that you have the compression level set to 'store' and the type set to zip. Then compress it.
13. now make sure your phone is plugged into your computer and still in recovery mode.
14. transfer your newly created zip file over to the sd card of your phone
15. on your phone in the recovery, click install and browse to where the zip file is. Select it and install it.
16. Reboot your phone and you should now be on the latest firmware with root.
17. after your phone reboots, you will have lost your recovery so go back and install the recovery like i mentioned before if you still want it.
That's it. I hope this was clear enough for you. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me for more clarification.

Guess I could have mentioned the first boot could take awhile.
I should also mention that because the bootloader is still locked that it is nearly, if not actually completely, impossible to brick your device. There is almost always a way back to a functional device.
I'm glad this all worked for you though.

Hey can you help me with something? I'm trying to downgrade to .112 but when ever i try to flash it, it gives me an error on boot delivery, it says that there are some files missing. I already tried with several ftfs, and other flashtool version including latest one. The only ftf that i'm able to flash is stock 26.1.A.2.167 adn i got it from xperifirm. I already tried to flash everything except for bootboundle, but it will still get in a boot loop.
If you have flashed xperia m4, can you please tell me what flashtool version you used, and what ftf compilance? I have E2306.

Thank you, thank you all. I finally did it.
just some remarks that can help other guys with same issue:
1. I need to use the newest version of Flashtool. without the final patch 26.1.A.1.128 was always rebooting the phone.
2. After the last step (Installing the latest version of android while keeping root) I had version 167, network signal was working fine but mobile data doesn't. I went to Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> ... More and clicked "Internet Settings". mobile data started working and no further issues found.
3. Finally, in the end I got .167 rooted but no able to enter the custom recovery. As my device was rooted I just repeated the step "Installing Custom Recovery on any firmware with root" and now everything was as expected.
many thanks
