With latest cm7 and cm9 I can't still authenticate with PIN code (Orange PL). I have no problem with MiniCMSandwich Lite AOSP version. Are there any particular reasons why FXP can't make PIN code working properly? I saw that this bug was continuously mentioned through threads without a solution (beside disabling pincode in general)
PIN Code is related to your SIM-card, not the ROM.
If you have forgotten your PIN Code, contact your operator for new one.
I am not sure about the PUK codes thing on Android.
You didn't understand me. I don't have a problem with entering proper PIN or PUK. Regardless of what I put in the PIN input, I'm getting unable to authenticate message info, and I'm asked to enter the PIN again. I can enter the code many times and it's not blocked (it works on different rom than FXP cm9 or cm7) So it seems to be a strictly CM version problem. Didn't anyone experience that? (GSM device is working, as I can see all the available network in the Settings).

Are you talking about the PIN-code or Network unlock code?
PIN-code, I don't have any simlock enabled.
I see similar problems on other phones:

After installing CM7 on my Mini Pro it asks for "SIM network unlock PIN" when i start it. Works fine with stock rom. If I press dismiss I can´t use any networks and it says "your sim card does not allow access to this network" when I try to set i both manually and automaticlly.
Any one with an idea what to do?
Tried both original PIN aswell as my PUK och my present PIN but nothing works.
EDIT: Solved it by using CM 7.1.0.1 instead of 7.1.0.2 By doing this i could bypass it by just pressing dismiss when it asked for SIM network unlock PIN
same here on FXP111 -.- not very cool
I've had this problem two times already: once when I first flashed FXP 109, and the second time when I flashed the recommended baseband firmware image from FXP's signature.
I don't know the underlying cause of the phenomenon, but it went away after letting the phone idle for a few minutes after the "SIM network unlock PIN" failed, and then rebooting. I actually had to repeat this procedure two times each time to get the phone to register in my carriers network once more, but it worked fine ever since.
Don't know if anybody is still reading this, but here's an explanation:

Hi,
I am having a Samsung P7500 Galaxy tab,
I had sent it overseas with my wife, bu before that I called my service provider and get the Sim unlocking code, then I tried with different Sim and it was asking code we enter and it was all good. she took it overseas and enter local Sim, it was working fine, then move to different city use there local Sim, working fine but when she tried to enter different Sim again, it was asking for Sim unlocking code again,
she has enter too many codes before calling me, like 00000 then 12345, so and so, when she called me and I had given the code which I was having from service provider, she entered and getting message that network unlocking is unsuccessful.
Now what????? If my tab is permanently locked, or is there any option....
if rooting is solution, or something els.
I tried to Google it, but nothing found about it.
Thanks.

I am still waiting for answer guys, its 3 days now....
any way some one suggest me that its PUK locked, get the PUK code from service provider....
I have a question the same sim card when I am entering in different mobile its working fine, in tab its showing network pin unsuccessful. i can see the main screen of tab. the only problem is there is no network. can anyone figure what the problem can be...???
The sim is working ok in an other phone? That means it is not locked and should work normally in your tablet if you enter the correct code. Obviously it is not..
You could try a factory reset:
- hold down left volume button while booting
- in menu press left volume button again to select recovery menu
- right volume button to enter recovery
- select wipe data/factory reset
- reboot

Hey guys,
My phone was blocked with Orange France. Newly I got my unlock code from Orange by email. I tried it, but I always get "network unlock code unsuccessful" message. Before trying the original unlock code, I had tried 2-3 times another codes. As I understood from some blogs my phone is frozen even it does not show like this.
NOTE: if you get "network lock unsuccessful" it means that the i9100 is actually Phone Frozen (even though it doesnt display it, as i9100 dont display Phone Freeze like other samsung phones do)

I rebooted it, but it did not work still. I searched website of Orange but there is nothing related to this problem. Also they do not supply this kind of codes, instead of this they asked me to go to customer service, but here does not exist Orange service.
When I check with *#7465625#
1. Network lock [ON]
2. Subset lock [OFF]
3. SP lock [OFF]
4. CP lock [OFF]
I requested 3 times unlock code from Orange by thinking that is it really wrong code. But no. Every time I got same unlock code from Orange. And here I can not find any shop for this problems, also after this problem I am not sure to make payment online on some websites which are working only for these issues. When I try this solution:
1. Turn off the Wi-Fi on your phone and then turn device ON without SIM card.
Once it's on go to phone dial screen and DIAL: *7465625*638*# it will bring you to the NETWORK LOCK screen.
- in MCC/MNC field enter code for the service provider your phone is originally from (eg 31026 for T-Mobile USA)
- in CONTROL KEY field enter the UNLOCK code
- hit OK
- you should get a message: LOCK SUCCESSFUL
Power phone down, insert SIM card you want your phone to work with and power on.

Yes, I get same message as LOCK SUCCESSFUL, but still unlock code request unsuccessful. I think I need unfreeze code.

Android version: 4.0.3
Kernel: 3.0.15 - I9100PBVLP8-CL364024 [email protected]#3
Unlock code: 05175247
I rooted my phone and downloaded [root] Galaxy S2 SIM Unlock apk. But it could not find also UNFREEZE CODE. I rebooted and tried so many times, it still can not find it.
IS THERE ANOTHER WAY TO FIND UNFREEZE CODE ?
If you help me at this issue, I will be pleased.Thank you in advance!

Given Orange have obviously agreed to unlock your phone by giving you an unlock code (which doesn't work), if it were my phone, I wouldn't be trying any apps or any 'tricks' to try and fix this issue. You could easily bork your EFS/IMEI doing so. If it were me, I'd sort it out with Orange because they have no problem with your phone being unlocked. I wouldn't risk borking my phone for the sake of making a few more phone calls/waiting for my carrier to provide a code that does. Not worth it.
I understand from your OP that Orange has given you the run around, but I'd still sort it out with them.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092451 I tried this solution so many times. It can not find neither unlock nor unfreeze code. However I have already my unlock code, my problem is to find unfreeze code
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1064978 I can not try this solution, because my HW version is 1.4. There is written as "(ONLY for HW Version MP 1.200)"
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1360174 I also tried this generator but it also can not find unlock code, just asks for patching new nv_data.bin file. However I am frightened to make this replacing due to possibility of getting fake IMEI as it is usual result and another bad results.
Thanks anyway my friend

Hi there,
So I followed some tutorials here and managed to unlock the bootloader and install CM9.1 and its respective kernel on my SE LWW. However, even though I am using the same SIM card as before, the phone asks for a network unlock PIN after entering the SIM PIN.
Why does this happen? I'm trying to access the same network as before...
What can I do to fix it?
Thanks!
Edit: Uh, curious... If I tap "dismiss" the phone works and connects to the network. Calls, SMS, everything works. Why does it show the message then?

It is a known thing among CM users. This thing has no affect to phone usage whatsoever.
