Hi all, I've been looking into reflashing my phone, nextgen+ looks interesting!
My phone is still missing a few updates (no internet sharing) which is due to ORange UK holding them back I guess. I just dont feel like I'm getting everything I can out of my phone...
Heres some info on my phone:
HTC Mozart 7
OS version: 7.10.7740.16
Firmware: 2250.21.40600.061
Hardware revision: 0004
Radio software: 5.69.09.05a_22.50.50.21U
radio hardware: A.102.0.D4

I've gone through tons of threads to try and figure out what exactly I need to do in order to run custom software on it but I've reached an overwhelmed and confused state
Any help would be greatly apreciated!

debrand your mozart.
downgrade RSPL/HSPL
flash custom ROM.
there are specific instructions for each action above- in this forum. search.
Nextgen+ IS good. running it now.
I have tried following several different forum posts but I never managed to debrand my phone. Mobile Device center never recognises my phone, Zune however does.
It's just hard to know what I need with so many conflicting posts around :/

I too got the same problem my mobile device also.not reckognises my phone drivers are installed in bootloader mode but it is not reckognised!!

Hi, could someone please tell me if I have the latest firmware, boot loader and radio installed on my phone. I have seen post of people getting the update from HTC who are on the same network as myself but I've never had any notification for this update.

there was a htc update after 7720 which changed the firmware rev, radio software and bootloader.

Hi thanks for answering me. I have connected to Zune several times since the update and still no update comes through. I have even looked for the update in the settings menu but all it says is that I am up to date. Don't know whats going on. Any ideas or am i missing something?

i'm experiencing the same results as you. migrated to 7720 5 days ago and no HTC firmware updates have shown up in Zune. i'm using a Telstra 7 Mozart and my software info is the same as yours except for the bootloader: i'm on 1.23.2250.5(110539). radio hardware is obviously different as well: A.22.0.D4.
Hi, I found a way to get what I wanted. I did as follows.
1. Flashed back to stock Rom.
2. Did all the updates to 7392.
3. Zune then told me about update to 7403.
4. Flashed Mango Beta.
5. Flashed Mango.
6. Now have latest Rom and Latest Firmware.

Hi friend, your update stop is caused by Spl 5.10.. We have also treated this topic and resolved it.. on here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20551175&postcount=4

i tried
but my mobile is struck at usb host mode
I brought the Mozart about a week ago now, got quite familiar with it now and I have tryed to upgrade the memory but it dosen't support my memory card I inserted, I have orderd one that has been said to work else where in the forms.
I would like to dual boot android, but I'm not sure if I can as I brought the Mozart with 7.5Mango already installed, I seen a few days ago that it is not possible to dual boot with android if running wp7.5? and there is no way to downgrade from that. So I guess I'm just asking if its possible to do so as I would like to, could someone suggest a good custom ROM for me aswell.

Okay, I guess I'd better give up on the dual boot android.
But I have found that I will need to Downgrade my boot loader before I can install a custom ROM, I'm still kind of a newbie at phone flashing ect... But I could give my phone's info and hopefully one of you guys out there could direct me to the right thread or help me to downgrade my boot loader ( I found a thread by ansar, but it was all too confusing for me to work it out).
Current info as follows:

if you had taken apart the phone, installed a new memory card and reassembled the phone in working condition then you are techie enough to flash a new ROM
ansar is definitely the best around here, but there are other chefs too who cook a good rom. come on, dont be lazy, dig around.... seek, and thou shall find....
one word... the bootloader downgrade instructions are same... :B

having few problems with my mozart , i bought a second hand device to replace a fried mozart and it came debranded but basically i need to re-brand it back to Orange UK
is this even possible ?
which would be the correct ROM
i have tried several ROM's to no avail , i don't seem to be able to establish a connection in WMDC although the bootloader changes to USB on the phone
the biggest problem i have with the current ROM is the voice recognition confirmations being a U.S voice (my old phone which was locked to orange was a UK voice) , nothing major i know but as i use my mozart mainly for the voice control when i am working , it is starting to drive me insane !

just flash the right STOCK ROM and remember the official SPL, if you are on HSPL now.

i moved from a android device to the HTC Mozart a few months ago and now i want to try to install a custom rom on it. With the anroid device i had no problem rooting and installing diffrent roms and etc. But now i searched the forum and i am struggling to find the right "tutorial" for my device on installing a custom rom. I hope you dont mind that i am posting a bit "late" , because the phone is not really up do date, but i would appreciate if someone could drop a few links and directions on how to do it and which rom you recommend.
Some device infos.
The Phone is from Germany, (T-Mobile), and i can use it with any sim card i want ( i think the right term for this is debranded).

I did the update over Zune to the wp 7.8, never had any problems with that.
